if someone asked me to describe perfect happiness, i would have to say the times with you

THE THREE SISTERS stood in front of the Salvatore School, smiling widely as the people they were waiting on stepped out of the school van.

Two boys were the first to exist; one mixed boy who looked weary and tired, and a boy with very curly hair. They looked up at the school with wide eyes, full of amazement and confusion.

And then, Alaric came around the van, smiling at the three girls just as Hope hopped out of the passenger seat, curled hair swishing side to side (curtesy of Lizzie).

"Welcome to the Salvatore School!" The twins exclaimed at once, smiling widely, stepping closer to the boys who blinked at them in response. "We're your tour guides," Lizzie started, left arm looped with the Josie's. "I'm Lizzie, this is my sister Josie."

"We're twins," Josie added, smiling from ear to ear.

"Fraternal. Obvs," Lizzie added, grinning.

Millie smiled brightly, stepping forward as well, blue eyes sparkling. Hope positively beamed at the sight of the small blonde, not that the zombie noticed. "Hello!" She enthusiastically said, making eye contact with both boys. She was wearing pink high-waisted jeans, a pink carebear shirt that said 'together forever', a pink purse in the shape of a carebear, white vans that had splotches of paint on them, and a very light pink headband on. Her long straight blonde hair flowed down her back. "I'm Millie."

"Girls," Alaric said, looking at the girls with a soft fatherly look in his eyes. "Be nice. They've had a tough night."

"We are, father," Lizzie spoke up as she looped her arm with Millie's left arm, and Josie looped her's with Lizzie's left arm. "We're your tour guides for today."

"Rafael, why don't you go ahead with the girls while I talk to Landon," Alaric ushered the boy toward the girls, beginning to walk into the school with Landon.

"Hey," Hope softly spoke and smiled at the short blonde as she slowly started to follow behind Alaric and Landon.

"Hi!" Millie beamed. She is always excited to see Hope, it always makes her day go by better.

Landon, who was clumsily trailing after Alaric, glanced back at them, frowning lightly as he noticed the looks the two girls shared.

"Hope!" Alaric called, pulling Hope and Millie out of their gazing, and pulling Landon from his thoughts.

"Bye," Hope breathed out before scurrying after the males.

Millie smiled as she turned, staring up at Rafael who rose a brow at her. "I'm so excited to finally be showing someone around!" She exclaimed, looping her right arm with Rafael's left.

THE SISTERS AND RAFAEL entered the school together, walking along the halls.

"Everybody gets along with everybody here, for the most part," Josie spoke up first, smiling at the boy.

"The wolves are pretty cliquey. They like to hang with their own," Lizzie stated.

"You'll fit in just fine," Millie said, beaming up at the taller boy.

They reached a classroom and watched from behind the glass doors as a class was in session.

Josie pointed at the teacher, "That's our librarian, Mr. Williams. He's subbing for our Chemistry of Magic teacher who accidentally incinerated himself last week in hellfire."

"Burned all the hair off his body but didn't leave a scar," Lizzie said with an impressed look.

"Oh, yeah, I remember that!" Millie exclaimed, nodding. "I gave him a lollipop for good luck."

Lizzie smiled and ruffled her sisters hair. "Of course you did, Mill. And I bet you he loved it."

The four listened to Mr. Williams as he explained a spell to the class. A pretty girl with bright red hair volunteered to try the spell that the class was learning. She conjured a ball of orange energy in her hands, it exploded into smoke.

Lizzie wrinkled her nose in disgust while Josie rubbed hers, "A stink spell."

Millie scrunched up her nose cutely at the smell. "Disgusting," she whispered to herself.

"Come on," Lizzie said, she started to walk, "We'll show you the turret. It's where the seniors go to smoke."

Rafael chuckled, "What do they smoke, eye of newt?" He asked sarcastically, raising his brow at the girls.

Josie grinned, "weed." She pulled him into the next area they were showing him.

Millie saw Luna through a glass door leading to a classroom, and waved enthusiastically. The little girl smiled big and waved back. The blonde gave her a thumbs up before joining her sisters and Rafael down the hall.

LANDON WAS WALKING around the Salvatore School, trying to memorize the layout, see how the others teenagers act. He swallowed thickly as he passed a boy who looked him up and down, thinking back to the conversation with Dr Saltzman.

The older man almost had him compelled and kicked out of the school because he's not a supernatural being. But, Caroline Forbes, the headmistress of the school, walked into the room and talked to him calmly and nicely, informing him that it'll be dangerous and chaotic in the school, but he was determined. He wasn't going to leave his brother Rafael at this school by himself. They were brothers, a team, they did everything together. And if it meant staying in a school full of scary supernatural's for his only family member, then so be it.

The boy paused in a hallway upon hearing loud giggles. He couldn't help but smile at the delightful sound. He turned the corner not the library, and peered in to see that it was Hope who was laughing. She was sitting beside the small blonde girl that had greeted him and Rafael hours earlier. He had to think a second on what her name was before it finally popped in his head; Millie.

Hope and Millie were both laughing over something the small blonde was showing the brunette on her phone.

Landon frowned, watching as Millie let out very loud giggles and leaning over, one hand landing in Hope's thigh. The tribrid didn't seem to notice (or care) she just laughed and leaned further into Millie's side.

The young boy's chest ached at the sight, he sighed to himself, and walked away, their laughter following him down the hallway.

LATER THAT NIGHT, Millie went to Hope's room — it was almost a nightly thing at this point. Hope didnt feel too comfortable going in the sisters bedroom because they were all there all the time. It was better if they were in her room because then it would just be the both of them. No one else.

Millie had went to a store and got them onesies. Hope has a purple unicorn one while Millie has a pink one.

Honestly, Hope would have never been caught dead in something like this, but she would do anything to make Millie happy. And really, the onesie is really comfy so she's not complaining.

They were both laying in Hope's bed, on their backs, staring up at the ceiling.

Millie chewed on the inside of her cheek for a good minute before sighing to herself, closing her eyes. "Hope?"

The tribrid hummed, reaching over with one hand, twirling a strand of blonde hair between her pointer finger.

"Can I... what kind of—" Millie cut herself off with another sigh.

Hope frowned, turning her head to look at Millie, but the blonde was still staring up at the ceiling with closed eyes. "What, Millie? Are you okay?"

The blonde chewed on her bottom lip, heart clenching with something she couldn't name. Was it jealousy, perhaps? But then, what does she have to be jealous about? "It's just... what's your history with Landon?" She had noticed the way the boy kept staring at Hope; with longing and desire and something else that the blonde couldn't pinpoint at the time.

"Landon... is a boy I met when my world was falling apart. I had went to the Mystic Grill a lot, he knew my order by heart. But then, I didn't see or speak to him for a while when I went back to New Orleans. It was shortly after my mother died that I saw him again. We danced... we were happy. But, then my father died and I never spoke or saw Landon again." She stopped twirling Millie's hair between her fingers, sitting up with a sigh. "He's in the past, just like Roman is. They don't know the new me... the real me." She leaned forward and delicately gripped Millie's chin, making the blonde look her in the eyes. "Not like you know the real me."

They maintained eye contact.

Millie blushed a pretty pink and sat up fully, taking Hope's hands in here. "I'm glad that I know you, Hope Andrea Mikaelson."

They shared a tentative smile, the air full of something neither of them could put their finger on, and then they laid down back on the bed. Millie rested her head on Hope's shoulder; the tribrid's arm was wrapped around her shoulders, beginning to twirl a blonde lock again.

Millie hummed contently, closing her eyes.

Hope just laid there, watching as Millie fell asleep, a fond smile on her lips.
