004. (about) last night in tahoe
mention of rape
It was the next day and Hailey was taking her time getting ready as last night was a lot for all of them. She went to the bathroom and washed her hands, brushed her teeth and did her skincare routine. Hailey hadn't changed out of her pajamas yet and she hadn't planned on it. She walked out slowly and had a coffee in her hand from the kitchen as the girls noticed her out in the living room.
"Hi Hailey," Lisa and Garcelle greet her as she sits down.
"Hi guys," she greets them as she sits down.
"Did you have a good sleep?" Lisa asked her.
"I did. It's been nice getting to sleep in. Did you guys?"
"We both did," she smiles at her.
"Good morning Crystal," Garcelle greets her as she walks out.
"Morning," Crystal comments and sits down.
"How'd you sleep?"
"Oh God, I slept a solid two hour chunks."
"Kyle, Sutton and Kathy were up the latest," Garcelle said.
"And I went to bed before anyone else," Hailey gives a lazy smile.
"Hi Erika good morning," Garcelle says to the blonde singer as she sits down.
"Hi," Erika greets them all and sits down. "How is everybody?"
"Really, really good," Garcelle tells her.
"I'm good," Hailey told her.
"Here's what I want to know how you feel," Erika tells Crystal. "Because you're getting a lot of heat and it's not fair in my opinion and I don't like it because it's just not warranted."
"I agree but I also think you're handling it the best you can," Hailey told the Asian woman.
"Thank you," Crystal told the two women.
"I think there's a lot going on," Garcelle tried to stick up for her friend. "I mean, I think Sutton's moving. She bought a new house. She's staying at Kyle's. Who knows what else we don't know."
"Yeah, but you can't take it on someone you don't know," Erika told Garcelle.
"No, you can't take it out on anybody," Garcelle agreed finally but Hailey understood that Garcelle was just trying to defend her good friend.
"I do agree that I think there is something more going on with her. But does that mean we just give her a pass with how she's been treating Crystal? I just hope she isn't like this all the time because I'm not used to having to walk on eggshells with my friends," Hailey says.
It's true. Hailey wasn't the type of friend who told her friends what they wanted to hear. She wasn't afraid to tell the truth even if it hurt them. They knew that she had good intentions and that she was coming from a good place. Hailey always believed that if you tip toed your way around in your friendships then you weren't being honest and you weren't being a real friend. So she didn't do that.

"You know I think this is the first time that I can relate to Hailey," Lisa told the camera.
"Why would you say this is the first time you can relate to Hailey? I thought her offering a modeling gig for your daughters was pretty cool," the producer told Lisa.
"That was very cool," Lisa agreed with him. "But you know like you said, that was for my daughters. This is something that I can relate to though on a much more personal level. Though I don't think Hailey and I are alike personality wise. At all. We are alike in the sense that she tells it how it is. I think this group could use more of that."

"Last night you seemed like you were maybe on board with being careful with your words around Sutton," the producer said to Hailey who nodded her head, remembering what she said the night before. "What changed?"
"I don't want to be careful with my wording around Sutton for forever. Does that make sense? So I guess I'm just hoping that whatever is going on in her life right now that is making her be this way and that it won't be a long time."
C O N F E S S I O N A L
"I appreciate both of you saying that," Crystal told Erika and Hailey while Garcelle was hesitant on this conversation because Sutton was her friend. They all knew this too but kept on discussing what was going on with Sutton. No one knew yet though what happened the night before and Sutton was still under the impression that it was nothing. But with this group they should have been warned at the beginning of signing that contract to expect the unexpected.

"I swear these bitches change what they say all the time," Garcelle says with an annoyed look but also laughed.

"I don't know," Garcelle admitted, not really understanding what's going on with Sutton either.
"I don't know either," Lisa agreed.
"Let's see what today holds and see what happens."
"Yeah we're going to go on a boat," Lisa said and the women.
C O N F E S S I O N A L
"Sutton seems harmless to me," Lisa says. "Her emotions take over and get away from her but there's something going on underlying that is not being dealt with that's making her, you know, have these moments."
C O N F E S S I O N A L
"Let's have a little breakfast and then you know, everyone can kind of do whatever they want to do and then we will probably go on the boat like around one," Lisa tells them.
"I want to see the town. You want to go Crystal and Hailey and get some coffee?" Garcelle offered wanting to get the two more.
"Yeah, I'd love to get out," Crystal agreed.
"Me too," Hailey agreed with a smile.
"I'm going to stick my feet in the jacuzzi," Erika said.
"I'm going to hang here with Erika," Kyle said as she laid back in the chair and kicked her feet up. "This is all just too much today," and the women laughed.
"I know right?" Erika agreed.
"Come do yoga with me," Lisa said to them.
"No," Erika making Hailey laugh at how serious she was.
"I gotta wash my hair, sorry," Garcelle said.
"That's a hard no Rinna," Kyle agreed.
"Thanks a lot," Lisa said.
"Let's get ready and go," Crystal said and the three of them got up.
"Have fun ladies," Lisa told them as they left.
*
Lisa had decided to check on Sutton to make sure she was okay from last night.
"First of all I want to see how you're doing," Lisa told her as she got on Sutton's bed.
"I gotta tell you I'm a little angry," Sutton tells her honestly.
"Okay, tell me."
"I'm upset because I thought something was going on at the table which there was," Sutton explains as she holds her Nurse Jamie face roller. "And I didn't know about it. So then yes, my paranoia did kick in. Roller," Sutton says and begins to roll her face roller on her face to help calm her down.
"Are you rolling when you feel like you're gonna cry?" Lisa asked her.
"Yeah, she's coming with me all day," Sutton explains and they both laugh lightly.
"Then cry! It's okay," Lisa tells the blonde.
"No," she shakes her head.
"I don't want us to get in a situation like we have in the past where one person feels out here on a limb. I don't want that," and Sutton makes a face.
"I really feel like sick of crying," Sutton tells her and begins to face roll again as Kyle makes her way in Sutton's room.
"Are you okay?" Kyle asks Sutton.
"Yes, I'm okay."
"I'm telling her if she needs to cry - cry. Just like, let it out," Lisa tells Kyle.
"She has been," Kyle tells Lisa and hugs Sutton.
"But you told me I was too sensitive," Sutton confesses to Kyle. "And that I looked crazy."
"You were being irrational," Kyle tells Sutton honestly. "That's the truth."
"I'm going to add irrational to my list because I have a list of what all names I've been called. I was ridiculous, crazy, paranoid, irrational and too sensitive. I've got it."
"Don't get defensive about that," Lisa tells Sutton as she tries to help her. "Take that in. I'm gonna go do yoga. Sat Nam," Lisa says to them and does the yoga pose with her hands.
"Sat Nam," Sutton repeated. "What does that mean?"
"Google it," She said and left.

"I'm ready to warm up," Crystal tells Garcelle and Hailey as they made their way to Revive Coffee & Wine. "I want hot coffee."
"I want a latte," Garcelle says.
"My hands are screaming for a hot coffee," Hailey jokes and they would laugh at the joke if they weren't so cold.
"Good morning ladies. What can we get for you?" The woman behind the counter asks the three.
"Hi! I would like a latte please," Garcelle tells her.
"Make two of those," Crystal agrees.
"I'll have one also," Hailey says.
"Alrighty. You can sit outdoor. We'll bring your drinks to you."
"Okay. Thank you!" The three of them find a table and sit down as they take off their masks.
"It's so nice out," Crystal says as the weather outside had warmed up a little bit.
'It is," Hailey agreed.
"Yeah," Garcelle agreed as well. "You know, we could have ordered wine."
"Uh I should have done that," Hailey said. "A glass of red wine sounds so good even if it is early in the morning."
Just then the worker comes out with their coffee's.
"Ladies," she greets them and sets their coffee's in front of them and they all thank her.
"Cheers," Crystal toasts to the two and they clink their cups together.
"So what are you feeling? How do you feel?" Garcelle asked Crystal wanting to check in on her first before Hailey.
"You know I have mixed feelings. I feel like Sutton she just got set off last night again," Crystal said.
"Yeah, she did," Garcelle agreed.
"I've noticed that with Sutton there's something that triggers her," Hailey commented.
'I heard you guys had a talk. What was that about?" Garcelle asked Crystal.
"Kyle and Sutton were at the bar. I think you guys had a lunch or something and that seemed to really resolve it," Crystal told Garcelle.
"We did," Garcelle agreed.
"Whatever happened in your past with her. And then Sutton goes, 'it's not all about race.'"
This seemed to really throw Garcelle off.
"What?"
"Yeah," Crystal agreed and Hailey nodded her head as she saw how it affected them both.
"So you think that's where it all started between you and her?" Garcelle asked.
"Yeah. I think she thought I came at her and then it sort of spiraled into the 'we're all the same. We're all equal.' But we're not."
"No," Garcelle agreed.
"And that's where I was trying to come in to get Sutton to understand that we are different than other people. But she didn't like what I was saying either and I think instead of it coming off as a learning moment for her it came off as a chastising moment to her," Hailey told Garcelle. "Like we were all ganging up on her because she thought differently."
*
"I think you need to apologize to Crystal," Kyle told Sutton trying to help out her friend.
"What do I have to- for what?! What am I sorry for? Mmm no," Sutton shook her head.
"I'm trying to help you out here," Kyle told her.
"I'm not going to apologize for something that I'm not sorry for," Sutton tells Kyle.
*
"I don't need apologies from anyone," Crystal explains to the two of them. "Like if she can just be cool with me - like no one has to be best friends."
"At some point its gonna come to a head," Garcelle says.
"Is this not a head?" Crystal asks in shock. "Oh my God! Don't scare me."
"No, I mean it's obvious she has something that's bothering her and she hasn't really said it to you. When we get back we're gonna go on the boat ride but just continue being you and let's have a fun day today."
"Please God, please," Crystal says making them all laugh.
"I think Garcelle is right but I also think maybe you could be the bigger person and just sit Sutton down privately and try to work through your issues together. We don't want problems to fester on and then create bigger ones."
"Sage me or something. Sage the house!" Crystal exclaims as they all laugh at the joke but also know its true.
"This is the first time I didn't travel with sage," Garcelle says in realization.
"I have some," Hailey says in-between laughs. "I'll get it out when we get back and cleanse everything."
"I blame you," Crystal says to Garcelle jokingly and then turns to Hailey. "You are a life saver!"
"I try," Hailey says as she shrugs her shoulders with a smile on her face.
*
Everyone was now meeting in the living room to go on the boat ride. Since it was still cold out they all made sure to bundle up nice and warm. Hailey decided to pair her outfit with one of Chris' sweatshirts she had stolen from him when they first began dating. It had now shrunk to fit her but it somehow still smelled like him and that brought comfort to her whenever they were apart from each other. Kyle and Hailey were both wearing their matching Chanel beanies.
She had sprayed on her favorite daytime perfume which at the moment was Mugler's Alien Goddess. Just then Lisa walked into the room and everyone gave her attention as Garcelle ooed and ahhed about her outfit.
"In case she goes overboard we can find her," Sutton cracks a joke as Lisa turns around and shows her last name on the jacket.
"Hi baby," Hailey greets Kathy.
"Hi darling," Kathy greets her back as they hug each other.
Even though Kyle and Hailey were the best of friends, if she were being honest, she was a little jealous of the friendship Hailey had with her older sister.
They then made their way into the cars to go on the boat.
*
"Let's go on a boat! Put your masks on!" Lisa reminds everyone as they get out of the cars.
"Bahamas was a good boat ride," Lisa says.
"That was a good boat ride," Kyle agrees.
"So it can be done."
"We like to lock people on boats, you know, where you can't get off," Lisa tells the group.
"Oh God, what have we gotten ourselves into?" Hailey jokes to Kathy as they linked arms and walked as Kathy laughed at her joke.
"It's our version of kidnapping and torture," Lisa says as they all laugh.
"I'll take a painkiller cocktail," Hailey tells the bartender and he mixes it up for.
"Ha! You know Erika has a song called painkillr," Kyle tells her.
"Oh God no!" Sutton exclaims. "Don't mention that song!"
Sutton was now a fan of Erika's alter ego but that didn't mean certain things still didn't make her cringe.
"How about showing her something like Pretty Mess?"
"Why?" Hailey asks with a laugh. "I gotta see it now."
Kyle pulled it up for her and Hailey was kind of dancing to the music. It was catchy.
"Damn, I mean I wish I had moves like that," Hailey says once the song finishes. "I literally don't understand how just watching a couple minutes of that music video makes me feel empowered. Like a boss bitch!"
"She has that affect on people," Kyle winked at her and they laughed.
"Erika!" Hailey catches the blonde's attention once they all three had their drinks. "I had no idea you could sing like that! It was amazing!"
"You showed her?" Erika asked directing her attention to Kyle.
"I had to!" Kyle laughs and takes a sip of her drink.
"I literally feel like a boss bitch now after watching your music video!"
"You watched painkillr?" Erika asks amused and loving that Hailey loved her music.
"Yes girl!"
"You know that's one of the things I love most about my work is getting other women to feel empowered and like they are a boss bitch. So thank you for saying that," Erika says honestly.
*
"Oh damn," Hailey lets out a nervous breath. "Are they talking?" Hailey asks as she watches Crystal and Sutton talking in seclusion.
Of course she had recommended that they do talk but she wasn't expecting them to talk on the boat. And it looked intense. She wasn't sure if it was going to go well even because of how soon it was and neither seemed willing to compromise.
"Looks like it," Kyle widened her eyes at Hailey. "I don't want to be apart of that."
"Me neither," Hailey shook her head and they joined the rest of the women.
Other than the talk that Sutton and Crystal had, they actually had a good boat ride and enjoyed delicious food.
*
It was now hours later and time for dinner.
"How many people have gotten their nose down here?" Garcelle asked after Kyle sneezed and
The group looked at each other before Hailey spoke up.
"I have," she said honestly.
"Really?" Garcelle asked in shock. "It looks so real! I could have never guessed. Honestly."
"Thank you," Hailey smiled at her.
"I had my nose done when I was forty-one," Erika confessed after Hailey did.
"I've never had a nose job," Dorit said and all the women looked at her odd.
"Never had a nose job?" Garcelle asked just to make sure.
"I had a little somethin' done," Kathy said in a cartoon voice as she pointed to her nose which got everyone laughing.
"Why don't we go sit at the table since dinner is almost ready?" Lisa said to the group.
"We aren't going to wait for Crystal?" Garcelle asked.
"Crystal just texted that she's not coming to dinner," Kyle explained.
"What?" Hailey asked in shock.
"Is she okay?" Erika asked.
"I want to say something really quick," Sutton told the group of women. "And I'm sorry that Crystal isn't here but I wanted to apologize. Because I do think I was a little strange last night and not quite myself. Figuring out that I've left my dream house. Barbie doll house, perfect family home took a toll on me. And we're all exhausted and I do think if I feel a little left out it does trigger me and I apologize to all of you because you didn't deserve that behavior. I've had a really meditative day and I'm ready to enjoy each other's company."
"Thank you Sutton," Hailey accepted her apology along with the rest of the women.
"Thank you so much," Kyle said to her good friend. "I was totally okay because it was just a blip and we've had an amazing time."
"And we're over it and we're done," Erika agreed.
"We had so much fun," Kathy chimed in.
"Because I love all of you," Sutton said. "I mean Crystal and Hailey I don't know you both that well yet but I have a feeling I'm gonna love you two."
"You will," Kathy agreed at Sutton's statement.
"Thank you," Hailey raised her glass to Sutton. "And I'm sure I'm gonna love you too. I'm sorry if I was hard on you too."
"And thank you Lisa for hosting this. It's really been more of an experience that I thought I was getting into."
"Well leave it to me for giving you that," Lisa laughed. "You know what guys, I'm so grateful that we were able to do this in this moment in time where it's very scary, you know? I think its just been a really beautiful moment even though it's been tough. We've had moments. We've all worked through some stuff and were working through some stuff. Being able to have relationships with other women has been amazing because I've learned so much about myself. Not always great -"
"I agree," Garcelle interjected which made Hailey and Kyle share a look with each other.
Stunned.
They were not expecting that.
"I've had a very rough past year with people saying that I am the worst friend and I get it. I understand it. You know, I've talked to my husband so much about this because I'm gonna share a story that he shared with me. He had a friend who he went and had a drink with. That night his friend went and ended up raping a girl," Lisa explained to the group of women who were all shocked by this.
"Oof," Hailey let out.
"His really close friend. So his friend went to jail and all of their friends said that we need to go and visit him and support him. And love him. And Harry said 'I can't do that.'"
"Blind loyalty," Kyle pointed out.
"Yes," Lisa said.
"And sometimes you have to evaluate a situation," Kyle said but Garcelle and Hailey weren't buying it.
"So the point of your story is that you couldn't support blindly believe Denise?" Garcelle asked.
"I couldn't blindly support her," Lisa told her.
Hailey had heard about what happened earlier that day from her conversation with Garcelle.
"But at the same time why are you comparing what happening to your husband's friend to what happened to you and Denise?" Hailey asked with confidence. "They aren't the same situation..."
"That's not the point of what I was trying to make," Lisa told Hailey.
"I know that but that's how it came across. Was that you were basically saying that what Denise had done was so unforgivable that you couldn't even hear her out. I mean if I had a long standing friendship like you two had, I would at least want to hear that person out before making my final decision. Wouldn't you?" Hailey tested Lisa to see how she viewed friendships.
"On Lisa's behalf, I think that Lisa had some other information that no one else had," Erika defended her best friend.
"You guys didn't have that information?" Garcelle asked.
"No," Erika confessed.
"Do you have it now?"
"No."
"I'm operating based off on the information that I know," Lisa said with confidence.
"And so you've never shared that information no matter what?" Dorit asked.
"I would never."
"Why didn't you just hold onto that and let everyone else deal with Denise?" Garcelle questioned. "You became the ring leader."
"Your right," Lisa agreed. "I get it. But I was trying to reach her and I did not do it the right way."
"We can agree on that," Garcelle agreed with Lisa.
"I did the wrong thing. I just wanted her to be transparent and vulnerable."
"She didn't want to," Garcelle said.
"Or was she ready. I think that's where it south for me."
"Pushing it and pushing it," Garcelle told her. "When you could have been like, 'if you don't want to say it that's your bad.'"
Garcelle was now okay to let that situation go for the night.
"So, I know someone that most of you know," Hailey told the group and they looked at her with curiosity.
"Who?" Erika asked as she leaned forward and her hands were rested clasped together under her jaw.
"Lisa Vanderpump."
"WHAT?!" The women screamed while Sutton and Garcelle were confused who she was.
"How do you know her?" Lisa asked.
"Well I was introduced to her by Kyle," Hailey explains and Kyle nods in confirmation. "And we had been friends ever since but when I told her."
"It's true," Kyle said in agreement while Lisa Rinna gave a dirty look to Hailey.
"Wait, you're okay with her being friends with LVP?" Lisa asked.
"I mean, Hailey knew it was an awkward situation for me, but I would never give her an ultimatum about choosing me or Lisa. It didn't feel right so Hailey made a deal that she would still hang out with Lisa but never talk about her to me. It works."
C O N F E S S I O N A L
"I'm telling you these bitches can't be trusted," Lisa told the camera and shook her head. "How the fuck can Kyle be okay with that? I'll never know. I knew I was right not to trust that dumb bitch."
C O N F E S S I O N A L
C O N F E S S I O N A L
"I mean am I surprised that Hailey is friends with LVP? No," Erika said to the camera. "I can't even really hold it against her even though I want to. There is something about Lisa that just draws people in. And she can be a good friend when she wants to be but I think Hailey would be wise to watch her back and sleep with one eye open."
C O N F E S S I O N A L
Little did Hailey know, Lisa was plotting the perfect way to get at Hailey for the right moment.
"Your awfully quiet," Garcelle said to Lisa.
"No, I'm just trying to take it all in," Lisa told Garcelle but the group didn't look convinced.
"Uh huh," Garcelle commented, not believing Lisa for a second. Garcelle knew Lisa and she didn't trust her even if they were trying to work on their friendship.
C O N F E S S I O N A L
"What made you decide to tell the girls now instead of later?" The producer asked Hailey and she sucked in a breath before answering.
"I felt like I would be lying to them if Kyle and I knew this about me. I wanted to be completely honest with them."
"Even if that means they don't trust you?" The producer asked.
"Yes. Even then."
C O N F E S S I O N A L
"Well, you know I'm glad you told us," Erika told Hailey. "Because you could have kept it from us but you didn't. So I appreciate that."
Kyle walked over to Hailey and sat in her lap as she gave her best friend the biggest hug.
"You know, I was thinking where I heard your name from other than Kyle and I remember that LVP had mentioned you at her roses and rosè party she had," Erika said as it hit her.
"Yes!" Dorit agreed and nodded her head. "I remember that too! I think she said you weren't able to make the party..."
"Yeah, I was visiting Chris while he was filming. Then we just had Charlotte and Mason," she lets out a small smile at how much had changed.
"I have to ask - do you know anything about what has happened between us and Lisa?" Dorit asked her nervously.
"No," she shakes her head. "Kyle told me a little bit about what happened between her and Lisa but Lisa doesn't talk about what happened. Lisa's too busy to talk about her friendships with you guys."
"So how can you be friends with LVP when your other best friend is still hurting?" Lisa asked trying to stir the pot and totally throwing Hailey off as she wasn't expecting this much hate from one person about her other best friend.
"Well that's between Kyle and I and also they've both moved on. So why can't you?" She fired back and standing strong.
"Listen, I have no problem with Hailey and Lisa being best friends still," Kyle explained to the women at the table. "I would have told Hailey if I did and I truly don't. Yes, Lisa and I sometimes still have our problems, but one thing I can appreciate about Lisa is that we both don't let it get between our friendship with Hailey. They are one hundred percent different friendships and so you really can't be upset about a subject you know nothing about," Kyle told Rinna also sticking up for Hailey. She wasn't sticking up for LVP but for Hailey. Her relationship with the socialite was too important to her to let Lisa get in between that friendship. And even if she did, she knew that Hailey would stick up for Lisa and if Lisa came in between Hailey's friendship's with Kyle it would have the same outcome.
"Okay," Lisa said a bit shocked at Kyle's reaction. Most of the time Kyle agreed with Lisa and so when she saw that things weren't going her way - she backed off. But that didn't mean she would stop with her planning. After all - the viewers lived for the drama and she aimed to please them. She didn't care if her ideas ruined her coworkers good name.
"Let's go get our drink and go downstairs," Kyle said to everyone after they finished dinner.
Hailey grabbed a glass of red wine along with the others and followed them downstairs and had a fun night with them. She was glad that she told them about her friendship with Lisa.
*
While Hailey had a good time on the girls trip, her favorite thing ever was being at home with her family. Hailey was holding Nate as he was being extra cuddly and sweet. He was playing with the ends of her hair and leaned his head on her shoulder.
"He missed his momma," Melissa told her sister.
"Aww, did you miss me, bubs?" Hailey asked her son as she swayed side to side.
"Yes," he tells his mom as he leans out more and stares at her as he leans forward and kisses her.
"I missed you too baby," she tells him and kisses him on his cheek after kissing his lips.
Hailey holds Nate's hands as he leans back more and he starts to giggle. She pretends that she's going to drop him but keeps a strong hold on him as he lets out more giggles as Hailey and Melissa let out laughs too. Her kids laughter was contagious and it always brought a smile to her.
"Your brother is so silly," Melissa baby talks to Aurora who makes cooing noises in her high chair.
Charlotte and Mason were standing by the kitchen counter as Charlotte was half-listening to the conversations but also watching Zootopia on Disney plus. It seemed as though the kids constantly watched a show on Disney plus at night and their parents weren't complaining. Aurora was the only one who couldn't really stand watching anything for a long period of time and Nate was actually pretty good at sitting still for a two year old.
Buzz saw what was going on with Nate and got concerned. He immediately jumped up from laying on the ground in the living room and began to bark as he trotted into the kitchen. Dodger was still in the living room laying on the couch as he enjoyed watching Zootopia with the kids.
"Oh Buzz," Hailey cooed and held Nate securely in her arms as she bent down to Buzz's height. "Nate's okay," she told him and he sniffed to make sure. Hailey pet his head and so did Nate. "See, buddy?"
Buzz lets out a bark and then licks Nate's hand. Nate lets out a squeal and pulls his hand back fast. Hailey laughs and sets her son on the ground as he stands on his feet and he goes to love on Buzz and hug him.
"Aww that's very sweet, Nate," Hailey coos to her son. "Lottie, you want something to drink?"
"Yes," she nods her head.
"Do you want water?" Hailey asked her daughter as she moved around to get a cup for her.
"No, I want soda."
"Soda?" Hailey asked.
"Shhh, Charlotte, you weren't supposed to say anything," Justin tells his niece who giggles like crazy and plays with her hair.
"Did uncle Justin give you soda while I was gone?" Hailey asked her daughter.
"Yes," she giggled and ran away and Justin shook his head.
"Thanks for watching them while I was away," Hailey told Justin and Melissa. "I appreciate it. Do you guys want to stay for dinner? I'm making tacos."
"Your tacos are the best," Justin told Hailey. "What do you think babe?" He asked Melissa.
"I was actually going to meet up with Kendall and Kylie in a few," Melissa tells her older sister.
"No problem. Thanks again for watching them," Hailey tells them honestly and gives them a hug. "Do you need to leave right now?"
Melissa looks at her phone to see what time it is.
"I actually do," Melissa's eyes widen at the time. "Were having dinner together at seven," she tells her and it was six twenty right now.
"Oh shit," Hailey says. "You better get going now if you want to get out of the LA traffic. Tell Kendall and Kylie I said hi."
"For sure," Melissa agreed and hugged Hailey then the kids. Justin did the same and the Evans family walked out and waved goodbye to Melissa and Justin.
"Alright kids," Hailey caught their attention as she held Aurora. "Ready to go back inside?"
They followed their mom back inside and Hailey got everything out for making tacos. For Aurora she would just be eating the meat without the taco shell. She turned on the burner for the oven and got out the turkey meat as well as the Taco Bell seasoning she liked to use. It wasn't a spicy one so it was safe for the kids. She then turned on another burner and poured some vegetable oil in the pan and then put the shell in it. Hailey used tongs to turn it over when her husband called her and she answered it.
"Hi," Hailey greeted her husband with a smile.
"Hi bubba, how's it going?" Chris asked.
"Pretty good," Hailey told him. "I'm making tacos tonight for dinner. How's it going over there?"
"Damn. You're making them without me there?" He asked with a pout as they were one of his favorite meals his wife made. "It's good here. We actually finished early with filming and I will actually be home in a couple days," he tells her with a big grin as he leaned forward and his gold chain necklace dangled.
That man did something to her even after all these years. She never got enough. He only got better looking as he aged.
"Really?" She asked with excitement.
"Yeah," he let out a small laugh as he ran his fingers through his hair. "Will you be able to pick me up at the airport?"
"What day and time?" Hailey asked her husband.
"Wednesday at twelve," he tells her as he pulls his bottom lip between his teeth.
Hailey looks at the calendar and both Charlotte and Mason will be at school and Nate would be at preschool. The only one who would be with her was Aurora.
"I can do that," she nods her head. "The kids are going to be so excited," she tells him as she finishes the tacos.
"Speaking of the kids - I want this to be a surprise. So they can't know."
"Aurora will know," she pointed out.
"She's one," he let out a loud laugh. "She's not going to tell the others."
"Your right," she agreed. "I'm so glad you're coming home. We've missed you."
"I've missed you guys too," he confessed. Having a big family was his dream and she fulfilled it with him. She gave him everything he ever wanted and more. "Are the kids available to talk?"
"Yeah. Hey kids," Hailey calls out to them and they turn their heads to give their mom their attention. "Dad's on the phone. Want to talk to him?"
"Yeah!" Charlotte yelled and ran right away and grabbed the phone from her mom to talk to him.
"Take turns," Hailey tells them as she turns off the burner and puts some meat as well as cheese into the tacos for Charlotte, Mason and Nate. For Aurora she was just putting meat on a plate and then for herself she was putting everything on hers. Nate was the pickiest eater out of all the kids so for the shredded cheese she didn't put in a lot but just enough for him.
"Alright kids, dinners ready," she calls out to them after they had finished talking to their dad.
They all sat around the dinner table as the older kids began eating their dinner and Hailey went from eating her own taco to feeding Aurora her meal. Normally Aurora loved the turkey meat but tonight she was not having it. When Hailey tried putting the spoon in front of her mouth Aurora would continue to fuss and make noises as she kept her mouth closed.
"Rory doesn't want the food, mom," Charlotte tells her mom as she continues to eat her taco.
Instead of throwing a fit though, Aurora was making noises as she saw her mom eating her own taco so Hailey tried again. The camera crew had left after she got off the phone with Chris. Hailey had to admit she was glad they left because it really did in a way stress her out even more when she just got back from her trip and had to take care of her family and then she had the camera crew in the way. It was a lot. But so far it was a good experience for her minus the tension in Lake Tahoe. Yes, Hailey loved it in Tahoe, but this right here was what her life was all about. Now all she needed was for her husband to come home.

Sooo incredibly sorry for the very late update!! I did leave out some of what happened in this episode but hope it makes up for family time in the Evans household :).
Who do you think Hailey is going to be close to in the group of girls?
What did you think of the girls reaction to her still being friends with LVP? Were you surprised by their reactions?
What do you think Lisa Rinna has planned?
In case you are wondering - I did edit this chapter after posting :)
