00. before the show

Hailey and her husband, Chris, had lived in Beverly Hills for a while now but she was born and raised in Los Angeles.  California was her home and she loved it.  She had been married to her husband, Chris Evans, for ten years now and they had four kids together.  Yes, she was married to Captain America.

"Babe, you ready to go?" Chris called out to his wife.

"Yeah, in a minute," Hailey called as she sprayed her setting spray on her face and then spritzed her favorite perfume on which was Flowerbomb by ViktorRolf.  She knew that her mom was downstairs playing with their kids as they called her GiGi since she didn't want to be known as 'Grandma.'  Tonight they were going out to dinner on a double date with her best friend Kyle Richards and her husband Mauricio.  They all had been best friends for a while now.  Kyle was more than a best friend to Hailey, she acted as if she were her big sister since there was a ten year age difference between them.

Charlotte was seven years old, Mason was six, then there was Nate who was two and Aurora who was one.  She was the baby of the family.  Then they had their golden retriever named Buzz and Dodger who was a Boxer-mix.  Their family was complete the minute Aurora was born and the other three kids met her.

She made her way down the stairs and he whistled as she made her way down to him.

"You look beautiful," Chris marveled at his wife and she blushed slightly.

She was wearing jeans and a long sleeve black sweater that had lace on her chest.  She paired it with brown booties and her favorite Chanel purse that Chris had bought her their first year of marriage.  Her brown hair with some blonde highlights were down in a slight wave.

"Thank you.  You look hot," she told him as she checked him out shamelessly and he smirked.

"Ready to get going?"

"Not before saying bye to the kids and mom," she tells her husband and she holds his hand as they head into the living room.

"You guys leaving already?" Hailey's mom asked and they nodded as she bent down to give Charlotte and Mason a hug and a kiss on the head.  She picked up Nate then Aurora as she gave them both kisses also.

"Yeah," Chris nods his head kisses each of his kids.  "Thanks again for watching the kids."

"Of course.  I love spending time with my grandchildren."

"Ready to go?" Hailey asks her husband.

"Yeah," Chris smiles at his wife they hold hands as they walk out of the house.

They get in Chris' car that Robert Downey Jr. had gifted him from filming Captain America and drove to the restaurant.

*

"So where are we going again?" Chris asked his wife as his hand laid on the spot he claimed years ago when they first started dating on her left leg.

"Il Fornaio," she tells him and he nods his head as she closes out apps on her latest iPhone and goes to the Spotify app to turn on her Whitney Houston radio playlist and they start lightly singing.  "You know Charlotte already has a crush."

She could see Chris' whole body freeze and she let out a quiet snicker.

"Say what now?" He turned to look at her for a brief second before turning to look at the road.

"Yeah, his name is Liam and they're in the same first grade class together.  They are literally the cutest."

"Yeah, that's not happening.  Why didn't you tell me sooner so that I could put a stop to it?"

"Well you are currently working on Don't Look Up," Hailey pointed out to her husband who was on a slight break only being home for the weekend.

"True," he runs his fingers through his short hair and lets out a sigh as he stops at a red light.

"Babe, relax.  It's nothing but an innocent crush at their age."

"It better be," he mutters and she laughs.

*

"Hi, welcome to Il Fornaio," the hostess greeted the couple knowing exactly who they were but kept calm since they came in all the time anyway.  "Do you have a reservation tonight?"

"Yes, we do.  It's under Kyle."

She looks at the computer screen and nods her head and grabs two more menu's as the couple follows her.

"And here's your table," she tells them and they thank her.

"Hey guys," Mo and Kyle get up to greet their best friends and then sat down.

"Hi, my name is Ella and I'll be serving you tonight.  Can I get you started on any drinks?"

"I'll take a diet coke," Hailey tells Ella.

"I'll do the same as her," Kyle says.

"I'll get Il Fornaio Pinot Grigio Tretino," Chris says.

"Do you want a glass or the bottle?"

"Just a glass for now," he tells her and she nods.

"And I'll have the Alta Mora Etna Rosso Sicilia," Chris says and then Kyle and Mauricio say what they would like.

"I'll be right back with those along with the bread and olive oil."

"Can I get the casarecce pistacchio e pollo?" Hailey asked the waiter who nodded her head as she wrote it down and nodded her head.

"And I'll take the rigatoni alla vodka," Chris tells her and hands her the menu.

"Alright," she puts the black book back in her apron around her waist and smiles at the four of them.  "I'll be right out with them."

"Thank you," they tell her as she leaves.

"How does it feel being back, Chris?" Mauricio asked his best friend as his arm was around Hailey's chair.

"It feels so good to be back home even if it is only a four day weekend," he tells them.

"Well I know when you're gone they all miss you like crazy," Kyle tells him.

"I miss them too.  It's hard, you know?  How've you guys been?  And your business?"

"We're good," Mauricio looks at his wife with love.  "Business is booming," he told him and just then the waitress came back with their bread and olive oils and Hailey dug in.

"Woah Hails, easy there," Kyle joked as she looked like a panther prancing on its prey and Chris laughed.

"My wife loves their bread here," he commented.

"What he said," Hailey said after she swallowed the piece of bread that was dipped in the olive oil and they all laughed.

"Hey, so there was actually a reason why I called you guys to dinner tonight," Kyle said and Mo nodded to his wife encouragingly.  "You know how I'm on the show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills?"

"Yeah, what about it?  Everything going good with it?" Hailey asked and just then their waitress came with their food and they began to eat.

"Everything's going great," Kyle smiled as she took a small break from eating.  "In fact they're still trying to find new cast and I actually told Andy about you," she said and Hailey started to choke on her food and slightly so she took a sip of her diet coke and.

"I'm sorry, what?"

"Oh come on, it would be great!  Here we are actually real life best friends..."

"I'll think about it," she tells Kyle.

They all got dessert as well as Chris and Hailey shared the Tiramisu and Kyle and Mauricio got the Setteveli which was a chocolate sponge cake with chocolate mousse, hazelnut praline and chocolate glaze.

*

"What are you thinking, babe?" Chris asked his wife as she was now free of her makeup and had a cozy blanket wrapped around her and they had the fake fireplace on.

"A lot's running through my mind," she ran her fingers through her hair.

"Anything I can help with?" He asked as he brought her onto his lap and she snuggled further into the crook of neck.

"Just thinking about Kyle's offer.  I love the show and I support Kyle but it makes me nervous.  It just seems like every friend she has on the show she ends up not being friends with afterwards.  You know?"

"Yeah," he said with a reminiscent look on his face.  "I miss being able to have both Kyle and Lisa at our home at the same time.  Instead we have to schedule it to make sure they're not here at the same time."

"Which reminds me, I need to call Lisa back tomorrow.  She called while we were at dinner with them."

"Do you want my opinion?" He asked his wife as he played with her soft brunette hair that had subtle blonde highlights in it.

"Please," she nodded her head as she was relaxed by him playing with her hair.

"I think it would be a good opportunity for you.  I know that Kyle has a history with other friendships not working out afterwards but I know you guys are stronger than that.  The negative?"

"This would be the first time that our private life becomes public and the kids are exploited to your fans for the first time," she finishes his question.

"Are we ready for that?"

Everyone knew that Chris and Hailey were very private people.  Hell, even though she was a socialite, she kept her Instagram private because she posted pictures of their kids and family life on there.  There was one instance that breached their privacy and it was when Charlotte was less than a year old.  Paparazzi had taken a picture of them shopping and the Evans family sued that paparazzi and made them take the pictures down.  Not only that but they made sure the paparazzi in the future were not able to make profit off of their family without their permission.  Since then, they protected their kids to ensure they stayed away from the spotlight.  If they did this show that would ruin this but it also meant that it was on their timing when the kids would be seen.

"It's a big step but I'm ready to take that chance if you are," she tells him and he lets out a deep breath.

"I think I am," he says a little nervous.  "Should I first put a picture of us all on Instagram?"

"You can if you want," she says shrugging her shoulders.  "But before we do that let's talk with the kids and tell them what's going to happen."

"Deal," he nods his head and leans forward to press his lips to his wife's and then he went in the living room where Charlotte and Mason as he carried Nate and Hailey carried Aurora.

Dodger ran ahead of them as he always had to be by Chris' side.  Buzz was in the living room with the kids.

They didn't really need to talk to Nate and Aurora since they didn't really understand and all Aurora could say was 'mama' and 'dada.'

Toys were laid out everywhere messily as they were playing with the toy cars and acting as if the table were a race car speedway.  She could see Mason cheer when his car beat Charlotte's and she pouted slightly.

"It's okay, honey," Hailey comforted her daughter.

Charlotte and Mason were so competitive, its crazy.  She loved keeping up with her younger brother.  Just then Nate came up and tried to play with Charlotte's car and she pushed away his hand, a little harsh and he started to cry.

"Hey Charlotte, that wasn't nice," Hailey tells her daughter as Chris picks Nate up and holds him.  "We share with all of our siblings, right?" Charlotte nods her head slowly.

"Good girl," she kisses her daughter's head.  "Say you're sorry to Nate."

"Sorry, Nate.  I love you," she hugs her younger brother and gives him a kiss after Chris had set him down but he stayed close to his daddy.

"Good girl.  We need to talk to you and your brother," Hailey tells her eldest daughter and son.

"Are we in trouble?" She asks with a quiet voice.

"Not at all," she shakes her head.  "Come here," she holds out her hands and has her daughter sit on her lap as they all sit on the couch.  "We need to talk to you both about changes happening."

"What's that?" Mason asks with cute little nose scrunched up making his parents smile.

"Well, you know when you turned six this year?" Chris asked.  "But before you were five..."

"Yeahhhh?"

"That's change."

"Oh okay," he shrugs his shoulders, still not understanding it.

"So you know what dad does for his job?" Hailey asks her kids as she slightly rocks her daughter back and forth.

"He's Captain America," Mason yelled and they laughed.

"Yeah buddy," Chris tickles him and he shrieks with laughter.  "I work in front of cameras."

"And pretty soon I might be working in front of cameras too," Hailey told their children.

"Really?" Mason asked with excitement.

"Yeah.  Would you both be okay with it?"

"As long as we get to watch Captain America every night with you," Mason screams.

"Every night?" Chris asks shocked and their kids nod their heads.

"Wow, I think they are harder than a business meeting," Hailey joked to her husband as they laughed.

*

Two days later she got a call from an unknown number but it said it was from Beverly Hills so she answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hi is this Hailey Carter-Evans?" The very recognizable voice of Andy Cohen asked.

"Yes, this is she.  Is this Andy Cohen?"

"It is.  Am I that recognizable?" He laughed.

"I just watch a lot of Bravo," she laughed.

"Alright, that makes sense. First I want to thank you for that.  Secondly, I got a call from a mutual friend of ours, Kyle Richards, who recommended you for season eleven of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  Would you be willing to come down to the studio to audition?"

"Yes, I would love to do that.  Is there a specific time during the week?"

"Would tomorrow at twelve o'clock work out?"

"Yes, that works with me.  I'll see you tomorrow."

"Great.  See you then," he says enthusiastically and they hang up.

*

"Hey Chris?" She called out to him when she couldn't find him and she felt her phone buzz and took it out of her pocket.

She saw that she had a text from Chris and opened it.

Chris: In the closet

She rolled her eyes as he sent her a text instead of calling out to her but went into the walk-in closet.

"Hey," she greeted him with a kiss as she leaned down and then sat down.

Dodger came over to walk closer to her and plopped down as he rested his head on her leg and Hailey petted him.

"I wanted to talk to you about something."

"Okay, what's going on?" He asked as he saw she looked happy.

"I know you're only here for the weekend but do you mind watching the kids tomorrow at twelve?"

"Yeah," he nods his head.  "I can do that.  What's going on?"

"I actually got a call from Andy Cohen and he wants me to come in tomorrow to audition.  I guess I just didn't realize that there had to be auditions for it."

"Kyle didn't tell you?" He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion why her best friend would leave that out.

"No," she shook her head.

"Well, I'm sure it won't be hard.  I'm sure it's just to get to know you since its reality tv.  Just be yourself."

"Yeah," she agreed with him.  "Thanks for watching the kids tomorrow."

"Anything for you, bubs," he leaned forward and kissed her again.  "I love you."

"I love you too."

*

Hailey got out of her Range Rover and walked into the studio for Bravo.  She checked in and they led her to a room where a personal assistant was along with a producer, and Andy Cohen.

"Hi, you must be Hailey," Andy greets her.

"I am," she smiles at him.  "It's so good to meet you."

"It's great to finally meet you as well," he gives her a big smile and a hug.  "You ready to get started?"

"Yeah," she nods her head.

"It's really not a hard audition at all," he explains to her how the process will go.  "You'll just sit here and we will ask you questions.  Try to see if you are comfortable in front of a camera."

"Okay, that doesn't seem bad."

"It's really not," Andy promised the brunette.  "Okay everyone get into position and quiet on set.

"So you're considered Hollywood Royalty.  What kind of false information is out there about being a socialite?"

"The biggest one is that I don't have a job.  I do.  I'm a model as well as a jewelry designer and big on charity."

"What's your business called?"

"Carter Jewelry," she says proudly.

"What charities do you help out the most?"

"I help out anyone who reaches out to our business, really.  I believe in giving back to the community and helping those in need.  I'll even reach out to charities that I hear about as well."

"How long have you been friends with Kyle Richards for?"

"Oh wow.  Definitely over ten years.  I met her through her older sister, Kathy, who I'm also best friends with and we have been considered the three musketeers ever since."

"Now, you're married to Chris Evans."

"I am," she plays coyly.

"What's that like?"

"It was hard at first.  You know, with him constantly having to be gone all the time but since we had kids he's been more present at home which is nice."

"He just recently posted a family picture on Instagram and fans went wild.  What's it like having the world know about your children now?"

"Yeah," she let out a small laugh.  "We were not expecting the outpouring love and support from fans to be honest.  We've gotten so many phone calls from magazine's wanting to have us be on covers and such but really we took a step back and have really taken it all in.  It made us wonder what made us wait so long to begin with."

"Tell me about your kids.  Did you and Chris know you always wanted them?"

"Absolutely," she had a big smile on her face and it was always like this whenever she talked about them.  "We knew when we first began dating each other that we were it for each other and that we wanted a family.  We just didn't realize that after ten years later I'm popping them out like a basketball team.  There's Charlotte whose seven and she loves being a big sister and is super competitive with her younger brother, Mason whose six.  Then there's Nate whose two and Aurora is one."

"Is there any sibling rivalry?"

"Not rivalry per se, but Charlotte is having a hard time sharing her toys with Nate now because she's always been used to playing with Mason only."

"And that's a wrap," Andy said and clapped.  "We have a few other people we are doing auditions with but just to let you know we really like you.  We'll let you know by next week.  If you haven't heard from us by Wednesday please give me a call.  You have my number."

"Thank you so much, Andy, and everyone for this."

*

"Well, how'd it go?" Chris asked his wife when she came back with Jack In The Box tacos and their curly fries for the both of them and McDonald's kids meals for Charlotte and Mason.  For Nate and Aurora she had some food in the fridge for them but she didn't feel like making dinner tonight.

"It went good, I think.  You were right - it was super easy.  They had me sit in front of a green screen and asked me questions."

"See, I told you," he said as he kissed her.

"I love you," she tells him as she stares into his blue eyes.  "Thank you for always believing in me."

"Of course, bubs.  I love you too."

Just then her phone rang and Chris got out dinner for Nate and Aurora and she answered it.

"Hi, Hailey?"

"Yes, this is she."

"My name is Michelle.  I'm Andy Cohen's assistant.  I just wanted to call you and let you know we really loved you and your audition and would love to offer you the job."

"Really?" She asked shocked that they called later that night.

"Yes," Michelle said with a slight laugh of excitement.  "Our offer would be one hundred thousand per episode and if you accept our offer we can bring you in next week to discuss more."

"Yes, I would love to accept!  Thank you so much."

"Our pleasure.  We will send you an email with information and we will see you next week."

"See you next week," Hailey told Michelle and ended the phone call.

"You got the job?" Chris asked his wife with excitement who nodded her head with a big smile on her face.

He picked her up and she squealed as he held her and kissed her multiple times.

so this chapter is before they start filming season 11.  I'm not an expert with filming RHOBH so please be patient with me.  I do try to look things up though before writing.

What are you excited for in this book?

Who do you love to hate on RHOBH?  Who do you just hate?  I love to hate Erika and I just hate Lisa Rinna.  She's the worst in my opinion.
