''Sunday couldn't have come faster.'' I think to myself as I'm seated in the meeting. This is the last meeting we are having with Leo's company before the shoot next week. I have been catching Leo's glancing towards me throughout the meeting and now, I'm starting to feel uncomfortable.

''How much longer before this meeting ends?'' I whisper to Nancy who is obviously bored since she's busy doodling on her notepad.

''I'm guessing an hour. Honestly though, it feels like eternity,'' she whispers back.

I hear a faint chuckle and look up to see Leo trying to hide his laughter. I raise an eyebrow at him, ''what?'' I mouth.

''Nothing,'' he whispers then smirks and looks ahead at the screen.

After an hour of hearing the financial controller go on and on about the losses and profits, the graphs and the pie charts, the meeting finally ends. I'm among the first ones to leave the conference room with Nancy at my heels.

''God, that was something,'' Nancy says as she plops on the sofa in my office dramatically.

''Tell me about it,'' I reply as I grab a juice box from my mini-fridge for myself and pass another one to her.

''Uhhh ohhh...incoming,'' she warns just as I catch a whiff of Leo's scent. ''I cannot deal with this right now,'' I sigh and sit down.

''Well, too late. He is here. Catch you later, Athena,'' she winks and walks out of my cabin. ''Hello Mr. Grey.''

''Good day, Nancy,'' he greets her while walking in. ''Athena.'' he says and stands opposite my desk.

''Whatever it is, no,'' I tell him before he can even continue.

''But- '' he starts.

''No. Seriously,''' I cut him off.

''You don't even know what I came to say. What if it was business related?''

''Then you would have said it in the goddamn meeting,'' I reply as I down my juice.

''Fine. I'll see you next week then. At the photo-shoot,'' he says and walks out of the office.

I place my head between my hand, massaging my temples slowly when my phone rings. ''What is it Charles?'' I pick up, after looking at the caller id.

''Aren't you in a mood?'' he replies. ''Listen, how does dinner sound tonight?''

''Charles we have dinner together every day,'' I sigh. ''Sorry, let me rephrase that. How would you like to cook dinner tonight?''

''What? Why? Come on Charles! You always do it,'' I complain.

''Please Athena. Please, please please.''

''Ughh fine. I'll do it,'' I give up and reply.

''Thanks, you're the best. Love ya,'' he yells and cuts the line.

''It gets weirder by the day,'' I grumble to myself and walk out of my office. I decide to stop by the nearby mall and do some shopping. One can never have enough shoes, bags and clothes. I arrive at the penthouse late in the afternoon, drop my shopping bags in the room and throw myself on my bed.

Before I know it, Charles is banging on my bedroom door making me jolt up. ''What the bloody hell. Is someone dying?!?!'' I shout groggily.

''Yes!! Me, if I don't get food in my stomach soon!!!'' He yells. I turn to the clock on my bedside and realize it's almost 07:00. Shit, I was supposed to nap for just like an hour!

''Oh shit!! I'm so sorry Charles. I'll be out in a few minutes,'' I scramble towards the bathroom, take a quick shower, change into some comfortable clothing and walk out while pulling my hair into a messy bun. I notice Charles standing in the middle of the living room with his arms crossed over his chest, glaring daggers at me.

''I apologized, didn't I?'' I throw my hands up in the air.

''Your apology doesn't make me less hungry,'' he grumbles.

''Stop being so dramatic Charles. She overslept, everybody does that,'' Theo speaks up from where he is seated. I look at him and he winks at me. A blush creeps up my cheeks and I look away from him.

''Of course you would support her! Why do you never side with me man?'' he looks at Theo offensively. ''I wish Mila was here,'' he then grumbles.

''I wish she was here too. Cause you my friend are frustrated and she is the only one who can help you there. If you know what I mean,'' I wink at him knowingly while walking towards the kitchen.

''Ohhhh, so now you're giving me advice on sex? Tell me, when was the last time you had any?'' he asks. My eyes widen at his question to a point that I thought they'd actually fall off their sockets.

Theo hits Charles hard with the newspaper he was reading as I try to recover from the attack.

''What is wrong with you???'' I yell in his direction.

''Listen......I was a very, very, very, weird child,'' he replies, feeling ashamed of his comeback.

''You think?!'' I shout. ''Go to your room now and think about what you just said!!''

''Okay mom,'' he bows his head low and walks towards his room.

''What did he just call me?! What did he just call me?!?!'' I scream as I attempt to follow him but Theo grabs me by the waist and pulls me towards him.

''Athena calm down,'' he whispers in my ear, sending tingles all over my skin as it lights up. ''Let him be. He just misses his mate.''

I get out of his hold and go to the kitchen. Theo follows me and sits at the counter. ''Anything I can do to help?'' he offers. I put on some music and increase the volume so that Charles does not hear us.

''As a matter of fact, yes. How fast can you convince Mila to come here?'' I reply, a playful smirk forming on my lips.

''You mean......'' he raises an eyebrow, catching on to my train of thought.

''Yes. Book her a ticket and fly her up here. Go. Do it now,'' I order.

''Okay. Whatever you say love, you're the boss,'' he raises his hands up in surrender and grabs his laptop. After a few minutes he looks at up at me with a smile. ''Done. Let me call her and inform her of the same.''

"Charles! dinner is ready!'' I shout. Theo helps me lay the table as I tune down the music.

He comes after a few minutes, head slumped down in shame. ''Athena, look I'm really sorry for what I said to you. I crossed a line there,'' he apologizes.

''Hey, look at me. It's all forgiven. Not forgotten,'' I give him a stern look, ''but forgiven.'' I grab him by the shoulders and hug him tight. He returns the hug and kisses me softly on the cheek.

''Now come on, let's eat. We have an early run to go to.''

-Theo-

''How do you feel man?'' Charles mind links me as the three of us huddle into the elevator the next morning.

''I feel perfectly fine. Why?'' I give him a weird look. It's a good thing Athena is facing the door so she couldn't see my reaction.

''Nothing really. It's just, you're going to meet her wolf after so long, I just wanted to know if you're doing okay.''

''I was fine until you mentioned it. Damn it Charles,'' I reply in anger and glare at him. He shuts up and looks away from me.

''You guys are unusually quite this morning. What's wrong? not used to waking up this early?'' Athena teases us.

''Nothing like that love. In fact, I'm generally awake by 05:00 am daily.''

''No way! are you kidding me? me too.'' She laughs. ''How comes I've never heard you? Gosh it's so rare to find people who wake up that early.''

''And you wonder why the moon goddess paired you together,'' Charles mumbles, but I hear him clearly and I'm sure Athena did too since her cheeks flush in embarrassment. We get to the basement and walk towards Charles' jeep parked a few meters away. Athena gets in the back seat and stretches her legs out. Soon we are driving towards the forest.

''Do you know where you're going?'' she asks Charles after 20 minutes of driving.

''Why do you think I'm seated here and you at the back?'' he retorts.

''Why can't you ever just give me a straight answer Charles?'' she complains.

''Where's the fun in that? besides, I like to see you get all flustered and irritated,'' he replies and winks at her through the rear-view mirror. I shake my head at their childish antics as Athena grunts in displeasure and looks away from him.

A few minutes later, I hear my phone ping but I chose to ignore it. It's Sunday today and I'd rather not look at my phone or I'll end up looking at my mails which will then lead to me replying to them and following up with unfinished business and soon I'll be drowning in my work.

Suddenly I'm pushed forwards by an impact from behind me. I quickly turn to see if Athena is fine but instead find her glaring at me.

She keeps on switching her eyes from my face to my pocket but I can't seem to understand her. ''What? Is there something you need?'' I ask her.

She slaps a hand on her forehead and mumbles incoherently before signaling to her phone and then pointing at mine. ''Ohhh'' I mouth and fish it out of my pocket. I see her text, asking me what time Mila will be landing.

I quickly type my reply informing her of Mila's arrival. After that she sits back and closes her eyes, letting the wind blow her hair, drafting her intoxicating scent towards me. I stare at her through the side mirror. Her brown hair glowing everywhere the sunlight hits it; her skin so smooth, highlighting the beauty mark on her lower lips. And her lips, oh goddess her lips. How I want to kiss those plump lips.

I ask myself how someone could defy all the odds and look so stunningly magnificent when her eyes shoot open and meet mine through the mirror. I stare at her without flinching and she does the same. Neither of us wanting to give up. I would have loved to continue our staring contest but Charles had to interrupt. ''We're here guys!''

Athena clears her throat and hops out of the car. Charles and I follow and the three of us go down a well-trodden path. After about ten minutes of trekking we all come to a stop. ''I think this is safe. We can go down this trail and come back. It's too early anyway so it won't be a problem,'' I tell them.

''Yeah, okay. Ummm.... I'll just go behind that tree, change and meet your guys up front,'' Athena says as she walks towards a huge tree.

Charles and I strip down and put our clothes aside. I call on my wolf who couldn't be happier. I hear the sounds of bones cracking, indicating that the other two are transforming too. I give my wolf control and retreat to the back of my mind. Charles' light brown wolf comes around and positions himself by my side. His wolf slightly smaller than mine. I sniff the air for my mate and catch her scent.

My senses immediately go on an overdrive and before I know it I'm sprinting down the path following her. I notice a dash of white disappear around the corner and increase my speed. My wolf in a hurry to meet his mate after so long of being apart.

''Charles. Keep distance,'' I order him through the mind link.

''Noted. Go get her man,'' he replies. I notice him change the course of his direction from behind me.

As soon as I turn around the corner, I see her standing a few meters away. It's like she was waiting for me. As soon as she spots me, she sends me a wolfish grin and sprints away again. Ohhh, she wants to play. I increase my speed and jump forwards closing at least half of the distance she had created.

I can spot her now and she is just a few steps ahead of me. I increase my speed a bit more and soon enough I'm at her hind legs. I nip playfully at her tail. This makes her turn to look at me. A playful howl escapes her and she comes to a stop.

She pants a little before rising up to her full height. Her red eyes boring into mine, showing the power and authority of an alpha. I rise to her height too, looking at her with nothing but love and adoration. Her gaze softens and a look of love passes her too. She whines and sniffs the air, looking for Charles I'm guessing.

I tilt my head indicating that he is around somewhere. She nods and then walks towards a tree and sits down. She licks her paws clean as I follow her and sit down next to her. She stops what she was doing and gives me a challenging look. I put my head down in submission, knowing that the only female I will do that to is her. She looks surprised at first but then brings her head down to lay next to me.

I look at her, my eyes full of confusion when she suddenly licks my nose. I get up and she follows suit. I decide to lick her nose too but when I lean in she takes a step back and runs forward. Oh, so she definitely wants to play.

I run behind her and we play around for a while before she notices a stream. She nudges me towards it and the both of us trot to the edge. We drink the water and sit by the stream for a while. I have this sudden urge to lick her and decide to take a chance. So I lick her behind the ear and wait for her react.

I half expected her to growl at me and start a fight but she surprises me instead and licks me in return then scooches closer to me. She puts her head on my paw and looks down. If I didn't know better she is shy. My Athena is shy of me! Ohh, if only it was possible to laugh right now. I lick her one more time and place my head on top of hers.

We lay there for quite a while when I pick up some sounds on my left. My ears perk up and a few seconds later so do Athena's. We both stand up and are now in high alert, ready to take down the intruder. Turns out it was only Charles who came to tell us if we are ready to leave.

I sense Athena's wolf sizing Charles' light brown one as she circles him then comes to a sudden stop.

I eye the interaction between the two. Charles' wolf looking at hers warily. The white wolf suddenly rises to her full height showing authority while the brown wolf whines and lowers his head in respect to his alpha. A satisfying yelp leaves Athena as she playfully nips Charles.

The three of us then make our way to the spot where we left our clothes.

''Wow, that was.... ahhhhh...so relaxing. I didn't realize how much I missed this until now,'' Athena says as she stretches her arms out.

''I know right. It was much needed,'' Charles replies as we walk up to the jeep. We pile in and start driving towards the city. All through the ride Athena and I keep on exchanging glances through the mirror. And every time she shies away after a few seconds, which makes me smirk in return. Something changed between us today. Even though its small, it's still progress.

As soon as we get home, I signal Athena, informing her that Mila has arrived. She sends me a sneaky thumbs up before the both of us push Charles behind and run towards the penthouse before he could get there.

''What is wrong with the two of you?! did I miss something?'' He complains as he walks towards us.

''We have a surprise for you,'' Athena tells him, smiling cheekily from ear to ear.

''Oooookayyy. But why do I feel like I might not really like it,'' he scrunches his face up and eyes the both of us.

''Why don't you see for yourself,'' I tell him and we both open the door wide to reveal his mate standing on the other side of it.

Charles' jaw drops open as he sets his eyes on Mila. He doesn't wait a second to run across the hall and grab her. Athena and I both look at them before she clears her throat. ''Ahemmm......keep it PG will you? at least until we are still here.''

Mila pulls away from Charles and walks up to her. ''Hi, I'm Mila,'' she introduces herself.

''I know,'' Athena replies and smiles softly at her. ''It's nice to finally meet you.''

''Yeah...yeah of course. It's nice to meet you too,'' she replies then looks at me, confusion clear in her eyes.

''It's okay. You can say it,'' Athena tells her before I could even utter a word. ''I've accepted it.''

''Ohh Athena,'' Mila cries and pulls my mate into a tight hug. I notice her stiffen at first but she then relaxes and hugs Mila back.

''Just know that we are leaving no stone un-turned until you get your memories back. I need my friend back, Theo needs his mate back and most importantly, the pack needs its alpha back,'' Mila tells her as they pull apart.

I notice Athena wanting to say something, but she holds it back and just nods. ''So, um......we will leave you two to yourselves and ummm.... Theo?'' Athena turns to look at me.

''Yeah?'' I answer from where I was standing.

''How about you and I go have breakfast somewhere?'' She asks then points towards the couple behind us.

''Umm...yeah...yeah sure. Let's shower and meet out here in 20 minutes?'' I reply, my heart beating a mile per minute. If it were up to me I'd want to leave immediately with her. I mean the more time I get to spend with her the better. I must say I was surprised when she asked me, but who cares anyway. If I'm getting the chance to spend time with her alone, of course I'll take it. I'll take this over anything right now.

''Theo? Theo?'' Charles' voices makes me look up. ''Dude, if you want to make it to your breakfast date, you need to move your ass from there and go shower.''

''Right sorry. I'll be on my way. You guys enjoy,'' I tell the couple and leave.

''You too,'' Mila winks at me playfully as she clings to Charles' arm.

If I play this right, Athena and I will soon be where they are.
