Carlisle was your father's doctor. Your father was in an accident that put him in a coma, and you rarely left his side. You read to him, sometimes sang when the doctors and nurses were gone, but Carlisle heard every word. When he wasn't busy, he came to keep you company, read with you, talk about anything and everything to keep your mind off of the man on the hospital bed. You two grew very close, and he decided to ask you to dinner.

"I hope this isn't too insensitive of me to ask at a time like this, but would you like to go to dinner with me?"

"Absolutely, Dr. Cullen."

"I told you to call me Carlisle."
