Chapter 51: All I Have
Jungkook's gentle hands slid down Jimin's body while the water followed along it. Leaving Jimin to look at the ground before him within the shower so blankly, he began to tense up his shoulders and close his eyes to the thoughts that filled his mind. Not letting go of anything, so Jungkook made sure to ease Jimin after so much they discussed.
"What's on your mind? You're getting so tense..." Jungkook whispered. Carefully resting his chin against Jimin's shoulder and running the tips of his warm fingers up Jimin's torso until he hooked them over his shoulders carefully. "Jimin... I want to be here for you only if you let me..."
"I'm just... I'm just lost in my thoughts, that's all..." Jimin replied into his gentle and raspy tone to his hollow voice. There, he longed to hold Jungkook's hand once more, but he knew better not to make Jungkook grow uneasy with the shocking feeling of the cold. So he stood there, carefully holding his own hands to himself as he allowed the water to race down his face that no longer carried the stains of blood over his lips and mouth.
"Don't do that to yourself... please... you have to let me in, that's what you did for me! I let you in and you helped me..." Jungkook continued to whisper against Jimin's ear and hug him from the back carefully. "Let's take our minds off of this for now... I want you to relax..."
Jungkook's soothing whispers allowed Jimin to think to himself as his face turned into a pale pink color once he heard those words slip into his mind. Jimin couldn't recall anyone wanting him to ease his mind; all he would remember from the past is endless arguments with no breaks in between to soothe their own minds. Jimin was surprised Jungkook wasn't upset with him at all, why wasn't he shouting and losing his mind due to becoming impatient with the lonely man? Jimin wanted to think Jungkook was impatient, but there the man stood; hugging him and closing his eyes to treasure the moment even longer since he didn't know when was the end of it all. Nor did he anticipate it.
"When... we held hands... for the first time before coming to the bathroom, I don't think... I don't think it bothered me as much as I thought it would," Jungkook whispered and slid his hands down the trail of Jimin's arms until they reached his wrists. Even with the warm water racing down their bodies, Jungkook could still pinpoint the part where Jimin's hands slowly began to drop temperature and it began at the center of his wrists.
Carefully, Jungkook's hand slid further down until his hands were completely in contact with Jimin's, the cold touch wrapped around his own grasps as they intertwined hands and locked it right after. Leaving Jimin to stare at their contact for so long despite how cold his hands were.
"Doesn't this... bother you? We can't hold hands for too long, your hand will freeze..."
"I don't care... I've always wanted to hold you by your hand like this, I've always wondered how soft your hands would feel. Aren't you curious as well?" Jungkook whispered softly and kept his hands locked along Jimin's.
Curious was the boy as he held hands longer than he normally would and allowed the water racing down his arms to keep his hand from freezing completely. Within that moment, Jimin grew curious as well; he looked at Jungkook's body and longed to feel it just underneath his fingertips for the first time and hoped to brush his touch along the many creases and curves to Jungkook's perfectly sculpted body.
Jimin slowly loosened his grip along Jungkook's hand and carefully slid his hands up his partner's arms. Sending such a shiver down Jungkook's spine from the feeling. Eventually, Jimin faced the boy and guided him back until his shoulder blades were pressed against the wall; their silence carried on within the still bathroom as their eyes communicated in the moment and Jungkook lowered his hands from Jimin's upper arms just to allow him to touch him further.
Jungkook's eyes beamed in trust towards the man he loved so much. He looked into the faded red color of Jimin's eyes the whole time until his partner's cold touch slid up the sides of his torso. Soft and warm were the only words that surfaced in Jimin's head as he continued to feel Jungkook's fragile and breathing body. Gentle shivers left Jungkook closing his eyes and arching his body forward where his chest touched Jimin's occasionally.
"I've always wanted to feel your gentle skin... I've imagined it so many times that I was growing impatient," Jimin whispered as his hands ran up the center of Jungkook's chest until they latched over the base of his neck. Leaving Jungkook to press his head back until the wall prevented him from moving any further. He was locked in now and had no other place to move to just so the cold feeling wouldn't bother him too much.
"Jimin..." Jungkook whispered softly and closed his eyes to embrace the cold touches he was given while it was peppered all over his body. "Touch me... here..." Jungkook insisted with a huff as his hands latched onto Jimin's wrist and guided it down to the side of his hips where Jimin continued to touch the boy against his rear and squeeze it softly.
Such a moment tempted Jimin, but he knew he wasn't up for going a little further at the moment especially when they had to put a pause to their conversation before. However, it didn't stop him from continuing to touch Jungkook like this. Of course, how could he not? He was always curious to feel the human's warm skin and was envious that his gloves did that before he could ever. So just this second right here, he wanted this feeling to last forever. However, it couldn't. Not without the help of the warm water numbing his cold hands so Jungkook wouldn't shiver. These were one of the many things Jimin was ashamed of having and it was the limit to touch any living thing so carefully.
Carefully, Jimin leaned in and kissed Jungkook along his neck and raced his hands up the human's warm back. Hearing him breathe softly against his ear was as soothing as the water dancing on their skins from the shower head. Eventually their lips met and their kisses were passionate at the moment; the water raced down each other's perfect faces as their hands explored along each other's body for the time being. Jimin of course, finding more places to Jungkook's body that made him react in a different way, was enough to make him smile into the kiss.
After a while of their passionate moment, they had to stop and finally wash up after just standing there and feeling each other's hands explore each other's body. Jungkook stepped out first and dried himself off before he placed on a robe and sat over the wide bed to await for Jimin since he was just drying himself now.
The weight of their conversation before finally piled up on the boy until he knew he had no other choice but to speak about it after having to take a pause with the man just so their minds could take a break. Of course, Jungkook wasn't upset with Jimin, but the thought of being called 'Hyunwon' again left him feeling sick to his stomach. How could Jimin just look at the one who loves him so much and compare him to another; another who never loved him at all? Jungkook understood why Jimin would think that. But it was so strange that Jimin compared the two as if they were alike within personalities as well! Jungkook knew there had to be major differences, surely they were alike in looks, but were they alike in other things as well? Jungkook was very curious when it came to that.
"There's no way we are the same in every aspect... there has to be something that could tell me I'm right!" Jungkook whispered to himself as Jimin stepped out with a matching black robe and managed to hear the boy's whisper from close by.
"What are you thinking about?" Jimin questioned and placed on his leather gloves before approaching the boy on the bed silently. Once he was face to face with the boy, his hands cupped Jungkook's sweet little face and held it within his gloved hands. "Are you thinking about our little argument? I'm... I'm sorry... I'm sorry you had to see me like that... crying and complaining like a child when it came to seeing you leave me like that and not to mention the blood smeared all over my face. I'll try not to let things like that get in my head and turn me into such a monster again... at times, I can't control it but for you, I will try everything I can just to avoid it."
"Oh, Jimin... how could you hide your emotions like that from me? I'm supposed to see you like this. If you suppress those feelings of yours, how would that make us any better? You should know this by now..." Jungkook assured, turning his head slightly so his lips could meet with the center of Jimin's gloved hand against his soft face. "I want nothing more of you... nothing less of you... don't change yourself for me, we grow through it together. Your imperfections are what makes you what you are."
"But to scare you like that again? To be covered in an innocent man's blood and become so clingy towards you? It's not the best thing I should keep about myself. I'm so scared to lose you again... I don't want to lose you again!"
"Again? When did you lose me in the first place?" Jungkook asked as Jimin grew silent for that split second. At that moment, Jungkook sensed that Jimin was referring to Hyunwon again and that's what left Jimin silent to the question once more.
"You didn't... I... I just..." Jimin whispered and teared up as he pressed his head against Jungkook's. Knowing what he was hinting at first and sputtered on his words after he had to remind himself again that this was not Hyunwon at all. "I'm sorry..."
"He's so lost... does his mind really cause him this much pain? It brings up the pain of his past so much to the point where it just takes him by surprise. Is he ever going to get over this, –get over him? I want to help him but I don't know how... my very own existence is the root of the issue when I look just like the man who harmed him in many ways. But here he stands... still having a heart that used to beat for a man who just wanted to escape..." Jungkook thought in his head. Carefully, his hands pulled Jimin's hands away from his face and buried his face against Jimin's neck just like the way Jimin would always do to the boy.
"Oh Jimin... I just want to be here for you... I just want to care for you... in so many ways, can't you see that I'm different? I want to help you..." Jungkook whispered and wrapped his arms around Jimin's body as he continued sitting over the bed while Jimin stood perfectly still in front of him. "Jimin... please let me in... please... what I feel for you is beyond any childish definition of a boyfriend or a partner."
"Jungkook..."
"I love you... I love you so much and I don't want you to feel this way.... not towards me; the one who's supposed to be yours, your world, your soulmate."
Jungkook's words were caring and perfectly cherry picked for this moment where he confessed that he truly loved Jimin. This left Jimin's face turning the same pale and pink color it would usually hold as he looked down to see Jungkook tearing up against his skin.
"Jungkook; my everything... my love..." Jimin replied and pointed his lovers face towards his own before he kissed him so carefully as his hand travelled to the back of the boy's head to hold onto him as he leaned forward and pressed him back against the bed. "I'm sorry for hurting you," Jimin whispered and towered over the boy and dried his lover's tears carefully. "It's so hard for me to move on... please... be patient with me when you walk with me down this road. Please, you're all I have. I love you so much!"
Jungkook smiled through his tears and kept his arms wrapped around Jimin's body as he towered over him. There, they shared gentle kisses to show how much they loved each other even when such an issue weighed them down so much. Together, they embraced each other as their tears began to dry from the kisses. Leaving Jungkook to realize how much he truly despised that name Jimin would always mistaken him for. Just before, it didn't bother him but it did when he bottled it up and it grew bigger in his head.
Jungkook's eyes opened into the hug he shared with his true love on top of him as his gaze slowly glided up towards the old book Jimin would write in all the time; just sitting on the shelf, taunting him in some way. Taunting him in a way that there were so many of them Jimin wrote in but no matter what, it didn't seem as if the man was ever close to letting the boy in completely.
"I'm sure... I'm sure he wrote about Hyunwon many times in that book... there could be a way I could learn more about Jimin's pained past with him without touching on it further and making him upset. Through there, maybe, just maybe I can find differences between Hyunwon and I. There's just no way we're completely the same. There's just no way... I have to see for myself," Jungkook continued on in his head and closed his eyes right after. "What could possibly go wrong?"
