Chapter 36: A Soulless Monster
Jimin stood within the elevator, keeping one hand over the handle of the knife just hidden within his pocket, while the other hand held onto his long cane with the raven statuette on top. Jimin hid his cryptic smile just underneath his plague doctor mask and awaited the elevator doors to open on the tenth floor. The man patiently tapped the bottom of the cane against the ground until he eventually heard the elevator chime and open its doors to the tenth floor.
Jimin stepped out and walked over to what seemed to be Hoseok's room door and raised his right hand up before knocking in a distorted tune almost mimicking the way Jungkook did. After Jimin knocked he looked up at a camera pointed towards the hallway just above the elevator and continued to wait for an answer to the door. Just then, he heard a voice call out to him from within it.
Instantly, the door swung open. "You've got a lot of nerve coming up here, Jungkook! This better be good news or I swear I'll-" Hoseok's voice trailed off and looked upon the chilling mask that stood right before him. Instantly, Hoseok stumbled back in fear until he dropped onto the ground. Unable to stand when fear ate away at his balance. Jimin quickly stepped in with the hit of his cane touching the ground before closing the door behind him. "M-Master!"
"Hoseok what a pleasure to see you again. You haven't gotten drained for quite a while... could it be all the drinking you've done? Ah, never mind that. I don't need to hear you kissing up to me after I know what you've done..." Jimin hissed and stepped up to the man before pressing the tip of the bottom to his cane over Hoseok's chest. "You... I should have suspected you from the moment I saw him leave your room completely drunk through the surveillance footage.... did you really think you can turn Hyunwon against me?!"
"H-Hyunwon?... h-his name is Jungkook..."
"Who are you to tell me what's his name? You have no say in anything... how dare you... how dare you make a plan to get rid of me and make my Hyunwon do the rest of the job for you?! What were you planning, hm? Have him kill me off with the same knife you tried to kill me with before? Oh, Hoseok... have the years in this hotel made you a little weak in the mind as well?" Jimin teased and applied pressure against his cane and made Hoseok hiss in discomfort. "What makes you think you could get rid of me? You can't... I'm too strong for that... too quick for that... too smart for that. Your plans have always failed so I'm not surprised... but the fact that you would try to turn my Hyunwon against me... oh that just makes it much more interesting, right?~" Jimin asked into a twisted smile. Awaiting Hoseok's answer for a split second before he pushed down on the cane and caused Hoseok to gasp. "I said, right?!"
"A-Ah... Ah... right..." Hoseok answered and before he knew it, Jimin pulled the cane away and began to pace around the room. "U-Ugh... why do you keep calling him your Hyunwon?! Hyunwon is gone, Jimin! You boarded up every window here the moment he threw himself out of it! In no way is it better if you keep thinking Jungkook and that boy are the same... Hyunwon is dead!"
"ENOUGH! I don't need you to tell me anything about my love life. He embodies Hyunwon so much... it is him... it's almost as if it never happened, almost as if he never left and I don't need you to bring me back into reality!" Jimin argued as he watched Hoseok sit up and cup the center of his chest where Jimin pushed the bottom of the cane against.
"You're insane... you're insane! I bet you fooled him into thinking you're a good man... I bet you made him believe you didn't cause Hyunwon to jump out of that window. Seokjin told me all about it... you're not going to continue to play the good guy here. Remember, you're a soulless monster and you will always be one! The things you do to people are horrifying and the way you still think of Hyunwon as if he's still alive is sickening... when will you learn to let go?!"
"You don't know the things I've been through and the things I say. So silence yourself for once before I grab you and throw you out of the window!"
"DO IT! I have NOTHING to live for! You've taken everything from me..." Hoseok shouted in tears as he kept his stare up at the man while he remained sitting on the ground. Not having the strength in him to stand. "Are you going to drain me soon? Drain me of all I have left?"
"Don't flatter yourself... with all the alcohol you take in, I no longer crave anything of you. I'll just wait for the alcohol and the torture to take it's toll on you. I would love nothing more than to just kill you now..." Jimin mentioned before he walked over to Hoseok's bed and noticed the stash of bottles of alcohol he kept hidden. Knowing well that Jungkook became helpless and succumbed to his habits the time he returned drunk. "But watching you live in torture is way too fun to miss out on..."
"You monster! You always tend to cause pain onto others whether it's physically or mentally!" Hoseok shouted and let out a sharp exhale. "I bet you brainwashed him already to the point where he fed you all the details to the plan. That's why you knew too much!"
"Oh don't be so ridiculous!" Jimin spoke up into a laugh as he brushed his hair back and tilted his head at the sight of the weak man just sitting over the ground. "Did you forget about the cameras on every floor? The drunk boy telling me something along the lines of a plan and killing me? And not to mention the way you approached him the second he arrived at the party and handed him this... this knife..." Jimin's voice fell into a whisper as he took out the silver knife from his pocket and glared at it while he gripped onto the handle. "To be honest... I liked your older plans. They were more exciting. Now, you've gotten lazy!"
Jimin walked over the man and crouched down to see Hoseok sitting there and glaring at him. Longing to punch Jimin and grab the knife in order to kill him and be the hero, yet, he knew Jimin's power. He knew Jimin was always going to be stronger than him. Hybrid or not, such a creation like that was enough to make killing Jimin, inevitable. Not even the sun will burn him since he is half human and half a vampire. Things that can normally kill off a vampire, won't kill Jimin and things that can normally kill a human, can't kill Jimin. He was too overpowered in Hoseok's world to the point where he gave up often. So there he sat. Looking at the man into a glare while he waved the knife around him. Taunting the weak man constantly.
"You're dying on me, Hoseok... I want effort being put into that new plan of yours. One that will actually have me on the edge of my seat!" Jimin continued to laugh underneath his mask before he quickly ran the tip of the knife over Hoseok's neck and dragged it over to his exposed collarbones. "Is this what you wanted him to do...? To kill me..? Did you really think my Hyunwon would look past all the good things I've done for him and kill me like it all meant nothing? When I saw this knife in his pocket, this familiar knife, I couldn't help but to get excited about it! It's been a while since your last plan with the same knife... what do you plan on doing?"
Jimin toyed with the man and dragged the knife over his neck, smiling underneath his neck while Hoseok grew anxious from the cold iron kissing his neck each time it was dragged over his pale skin.
"Was your plan to make Hyunwon cut my neck open? Did you forget I'm not human? Your attempts make me laugh at times..." Jimin's teasing and raspy tone only tended to make Hoseok even more upset as he finally stood up before the man and tilted his head. "You will never leave this place... so stop dreaming about it."
"A-And what about Jungkook, hm? D-Do you honestly think he'll stay here with you forever and not grow crazy? Happened once... maybe one day you're careless and Jungkook might find access to a nearby window and repeat history..." Hoseok spoke into a weak laugh as Jimin paced away and thought to himself. "Every time you have him back in your arms... he always runs away. You say it's fate for you two to fall in love but maybe it's fate for him to leave you every time!"
Without a warning, Jimin flung the knife towards Hoseok but purposely aimed to miss him by a few inches where it was enough to flick a piece of his hair. It was quick enough to make Hoseok flinch and look back to see that the knife was thrown against the wall and stuck against it like a dart to a target. Hoseok's eyes locked onto it in fear as Jimin let out a laugh and shook his head.
"Now I know you talk a lot as if you're not scared, but you are," Jimin whispered and stood before the man, watching him tremble in fear. "If what you say is true... if you say that in every lifetime of his is to escape me... then, I will make it difficult for him to even try to think of it..." Jimin then quickly grabbed Hoseok by the hair and pulled it back to make the man look him in the eye holes through his mask. "Killing you... I've dreamt of killing you in many ways... demolishing you... stabbing you with the same knife you hope to kill me with... throwing you out of the window at times... but then I think, the most suitable death for you is to let you live in pain here until one day you can't handle it and end up voluntarily taking your own life. That will be the day I smile to myself..." Jimin whispered into a raspy and cryptic voice that made Hoseok grow uneasy.
"I will survive... and I will escape this place with the help of your 'Hyunwon.' If it's the last thing I do... then I will be the one smiling knowing well that your soulmate has left you again and you will be left all alone... no one will be here for you not even Seokjin. A creation like you should have been neglected and put down, you have no place in this world, what makes you think you will finally get a happy ending? With that grief still bottled up after Hyunwon killed himself, you comparing Jungkook to a dead man that once lived in your arms, will only set you up for a rude awakening! Go on and kiss him, love him, take care of him... you'll end up missing it when he escapes you again and you will forever remember the name Jeon Jungkook like you cry for Hyunwon now."
Jimin quickly pulled Hoseok by his hair and threw him onto the ground without another thought. The red hues to his eyes grew vibrant as he glared at the man and watched Hoseok turn over on his front to crawl away the best he could, but Jimin only raised his white classy shoe over the man's right ankle and dropped his shoe over it. With such force, Jimin heard a loud crack that left Hoseok to let out a cry in unexplainable pain.
"I think you've said enough... have a good night, Hoseok..." Jimin whispered in a bland and eerie tone. With that, he walked over to the door and listened to Hoseok hold in his cries before the still man opened the door and left Hoseok in there. Crying to himself over his broken ankle Jimin caused without hesitation. His movement was swift since Jimin bore so much strength. To him, it was like snapping a twig when it came to breaking the weak man's ankle.
