Chapter 35: Mine
The silver lining to the familiar knife shone in Jimin's eyes. He kept staring at it until his brown graze turned red instantly. Yet, he didn't break away from the innocent kiss he shared with the boy. Carefully, he pushed his body forward and set the boy down carefully over the bed and finally broke away from the kiss just to look into Jungkook's eyes.
"Jimin... I want to be yours..." Jungkook whispered and slid his gloved hands up to hold Jimin's pale face as the man towered over him. "I want to be here for you just like you'll be here for me..."
"Do you really long to stay by my side? I can't promise you that it's going to be easy... especially with learning what I am," Jimin replied and couldn't stop thinking about the knife in Jungkook's pocket. But he didn't bring it up at all only because he knew something Jungkook didn't. Carefully, Jimin's face sunk onto Jungkook's chest as he wrapped his arms around the human. Hugging him as he laid over his gentle body. There, Jungkook guided his own hands up Jimin's body and finally rested them over Jimin's silk black hair. "I want you... I want you to be mine but only if you mean it... I can't let you go if you choose to stay. You can't change your mind with me after."
Jungkook smiled to himself and ran his hands along Jimin's black hair. Finding it difficult to understand that Jimin was warning him about being his. The boy couldn't understand so, he felt free to ask about it.
"Why are you so hesitant about this? Did something happen before?" Jungkook wondered and looked down at Jimin just laying over his body. "Did something happen between you and a past lover...?" With the sound of the question finally hitting Jimin, he softly nodded his head as he felt Jungkook's fingers latch onto his silk hair carefully to brush his bangs back. "Tell me about it... is it about Hyunwon?"
"It is... Hyunwon was somebody that I used to love. But oh... where do I start? He was perfect. The way he would smile at me and look away as if the world didn't revolve around him; my world... but oh, was I blind. Oh god, was I bind.... but I was happy to be blind when I knew he was my eyes," Jimin confessed and set his forehead against Jungkook's chest and smiled to himself at the thought. "You look just like him... the way you smile would resemble him in so many ways. So when I saw you for the first time, I couldn't help but to think you were him... I'm sorry about that. Hyunwon left me twenty-three years ago... and I still have a hard time letting go. Why do you think I keep so many people here? Why do you think I want you to stay forever when you long to be mine? I don't want to ever let go..."
"Jimin..." Jungkook whispered as Jimin finally raised his face and pointed it onto the boy just caged underneath him.
"You can't leave me too. Hyunwon was afraid of me and....left me..." Jimin continued and finally moved his hands up to intertwine with Jungkook's white gloved hands. Perfectly displaying the contrast between black and white through their suits and their gloves. "If you long to be mine, I will make you mine... but please don't change your words later, I don't want to see you go. Everything and everyone must stay where they are as it is and that includes you if you long for me the same way I long for you."
Jungkook noticed how much Jimin battled with the idea of letting go. Could that be why he kept many people within the hotel? Not only because he feared letting go, but also feared being alone in such a big building like this. Everyone was not only being kept just to serve as a resource to Jimin, they all served as a meaning as to why the man refused to let go. Jimin's lack of understanding when it came to letting go was his weakness and it tended to bleed through his mind and stain into his cold soul.
"I'm yours Jimin, of course I long to be yours. I want to be here for you and I want to listen to you. Out of everyone I've ever known in my life... I've never felt safe anywhere else but in your arms. You listen to me, you care for me and you long for me the same way I do to you. Maybe... maybe this is a little too fast... but there's no point in saying that. There shouldn't be a limit for this when I know how I feel. I feel like I can confront you about anything. I've... I've never opened up to someone like this before so I know I can help you since you did the same to me..."
"You telling me you long to be with me... it fills me up with joy... I've never felt this happy in such a long time," Jimin whispered and kissed the boy softly over his forehead. "You're mine... all mine..."
"I don't think I've ever been this happy... throughout my adulthood, I've only been let down and shunned away. You listened to me and that's what I think is what I've needed in such a long time," Jungkook whispered into a grin. The moment Jungkook smiled, Jimin was mesmerized as his daring face turned into a pale pink color. The way he looked at the boy embodied innocence and glee mixed into one.
"This smile... it's been so familiar to me for such an eternity... how does it always come back to find me? How does fate always manage to meet me like this every time?" Jimin thought and made a smile as his sharp fangs were finally visible.
"Your face turns into a light pink when you blush... it's charming..." Jungkook whispered and finally removed his gloves to touch Jimin's face carefully. "Why do you choose to hide your face away in a mask like that?"
"I've told you the answer before. But you were drunk, so I guess you'll never know~" Jimin continued as Jungkook only giggled and turned his face away before Jimin pointed his face towards him. "Fine, I'll tell you... I only want you to see my face... you, a person that reminds me so much of the one I've loved before. Ever since Hyunwon left... I've worn this mask all around the hotel. I didn't want no one to see me unless it was him. But you... you embody him so much that I guess at one point, I just allowed you to see me without my mask after you... well.. kicked it off my face. Which is understandable."
"Oh... I'm sorry!" Jungkook continued and laughed at the memory of him kicking the mask off Jimin's face. "Hyunwon... must have been such a lucky man to have you..."
"He wasn't lucky... I may seem calm towards you, but at some point I wasn't towards him. When he left... I just couldn't help but to long for him again. But when you arrived I guess I grew so attached to you at first sight. I wanted you to stay forever."
"I remind Jimin so much of him..." Jungkook thought and tilted his head towards the man towering over him. "I... I hope you don't only think of me as him... please don't think of us as the same person. I wouldn't leave you like he did..." Jungkook assured as Jimin slid his thumb down to the center of the boy's lips where the cut was only dry now but still stinging when his lips expanded into a smile.
"Of course... my little raven..." Jimin said and leaned in once more to kiss Jungkook over his lips. The gentle feeling soothed the ripples of the conversation after the wave as they kissed gently. After their first, the feeling beamed in familiarity. Jimin just didn't long to pull away. Somehow deep down inside him, he just associated the gentle embrace with the feeling of what once was. Jimin found it difficult to let go of the past to the point where he wanted to believe he was in a different time with the same person.
"Are you feeling a lot better?" Jungkook asked and watched Jimin's brown eyes just lock onto his soft lips carefully. Loving the feeling of losing himself in Jungkook's kisses. This was something he missed for so long and now that he had it in his hands once again, he couldn't help but to grow desperate for it.
"Yes... I'll always feel better with you here..." Jimin continued and buried his face against Jungkook's neck. But as soon as his lips pressed against the boy's sensitive skin, Jungkook gulped and let out a soft exhale.
"Jimin... don't bite me please..."
"Why would you think that?" Jimin asked and let out a charming laugh. "I will never harm you, my little raven. How could I do that if you're all I have? I don't want to give you a piece of this curse..."
"Ah... I just got a little nervous there... that's all..." Jungkook replied into a whisper. Feeling on air as Jimin set a gentle kiss over his neck.
"You see... I would never harm you. You're all I have in this cruel world..." Jimin whispered. At that moment, Jimin thought back on the knife and closed his eyes while the scent of Jungkook's sweet and tempting blood soothed him like a drug. "You wouldn't harm me either, would you?"
"Of... of course I wouldn't..." Jungkook answered and ran his hand along Jimin's black silk hair once again. "I wouldn't dream of hurting you Jimin... I promise."
Jungkook's mind was still thinking about the knife in his own pocket. He beat himself up on how he should have returned the knife to Hoseok, but he was too far into the argument to even think of the knife that was weighing him down the whole time. Jungkook let out an exhale as the feeling of Jimin kissing the side of his neck, left him longing to be at peace, but he alone went back and forth in his own mind because of the knife. What was he going to do now? Jungkook knew Jimin couldn't feel it from where he laid, so the boy believed he was alright. But little did he know, Jimin already saw the knife moments into the kiss.
"I can't tell him I have a knife in my pocket... he'll think I came to kill him! Even worse if I mention Hoseok or Seokjin... he might torture them and he would lose trust in me... what could I do now?" Jungkook worried as Jimin finally stopped kissing the boy's neck and pressed his forehead against it. Thinking into his head until the two went silent into the late night.
Later on into the night, the comfortable feeling drifted the young lamb to sleep. Jungkook fought and battled to stay awake while Jimin laid over him, but it became inevitable. Jungkook finally succumbed to his exhaustion and fell asleep as Jimin finally looked up to see that the boy was sleeping already.
"Exhaustion... if only I was born with that part... I would be sleeping with you and sharing the same dreams..." Jimin whispered before sitting up and looking down at the boy below him. "My sleepy little raven... I'll run a quick little errand. Dream for me since I can't do the same," Jimin concluded as he dropped his hand over Jungkook's chest and slid it down to his lower abdomen. Jimin's eyes scanned Jungkook's body until his fingertips traced the folds of the clothes until it dropped into the pocket of his slacks where the knife remained tucked away.
Jimin slowly retrieved the knife and held it in his grasp; looking into the sharp teeth of the blade. Pulling a mischievous smirk before he leaned over to Jungkook and kissed his forehead. Just then, Jimin got off the boy, he stepped up to his wardrobe and grabbed his cane with the raven statuette on the top. "It's been quite a while..." Jimin spoke to himself and carried the cane in his hand before placing on his plague doctor mask before stepping out of the hotel room. Leaving Jungkook to sleep on the bed all alone like any other night Jimin would leave him alone.
Once the man stood outside of the hotel room, he tucked the knife into the pocket of his white slacks and began to walk towards the elevator. As soon as Jimin stepped into the elevator, he smiled to himself and tapped the button to the tenth floor. Cryptically watching as the doors closed right afterwards.
