The sun is rising, I need to plug the virus in the police station. If we don't get access to the cameras, there's probably a low chance of success.
But it's not like I act without a plan, I just need to find the detective from yesterday, maybe he'll help me. It's not very discrete, but it's better than just going in by myself.

It's pretty boring to wait an early morning for someone to come. After an hour or so, I see him. He's alone so it's even better.

"Hey, it's a pretty day today."

"I do not enjoy small talk, state your business or leave."

He's really cold, maybe it will be harder than I thought.

"I'm the guy you met yesterday, we talked a bit about something that could stop police corruption."

His interest seemed to be on me now.

"Do you really intend on going against the police of this city? Have you forgotten I work for them too?"

"Don't you want justice to reign supreme? I'm ready to take all the risk I can."

He smiles at me, it's more a smile of respect. At least he won't arrest me.

"I imagine you have a plan. Or maybe you're just very bold."

"Both, I will infiltrate the police station at night, there are fewer policemen then. But I need to have access to cameras for that, that's why I have a virus to hack in the system."

"You're lucky you found me and not another detective, you could have been in trouble."

"I know, will you help me?"

He really seems hesitant. He's risking a lot after all, but I can't let that opportunity go to waste.

"Please, you're the best I have for now."

"Aren't you the thief that always send a card before stealing?"

I'm more than surprised he knows, I did my best, so nobody finds me.

"What if I am?"

"Your secret will be well-kept then. A lot of people want you in jail you know?"

"I'll deal with that later, for now I want to use my mischievous spirit for something good."

"Good on you, I'll help you enter. But you'll have to put the virus yourself, if we get caught I won't hesitate to arrest you."

"It's fine by me." 

He gestures me to follow him. I know a detective is with me, but I don't feel comfortable entering in a police station. 

Everyone is really busy here, nobody even asked him why he brought me in.

"This is an isolate computer, you can use this one."

"Thanks, it won't take long."

I said that, but after plugging the USB stick a message appear.

-Thanks for using Eirika virus 1.0, please wait for 10 minutes for the installation :3-

10 minutes? She never warned me about that.

"It will take longer than expected."

There's not much to do aside than watching everyone running around, doing their job. It's hard to think that the trials are rigged, what is the reason anyway.?

After a bit there's a girl around my age that comes in, she doesn't seem to work here.
She's with another police officer, he looks like he's in charge around here.

"Father, I won't tolerate it much longer!"

"I'm just doing my job, they asked me to arrest him. "

"Aren't you supposed to be the chief here? Everyone should listen to you!"

"Listen, some have much more power than me. I do it to protect you, you know?"

"I practice swordsmanship since I'm a kid, I know how to protect myself."

"I need to work, we'll talk more after."

The officer goes in an office, his daughter seems really mad. She then looks at me, I hope I'm not already caught red-handed.

"Who is this guy, Leo?"

"Just a friend that wanted to look around."

She squints at us really hard, she doesn't believe any of his words.

"You know it's an obvious lie, you don't have any friend."

"Haha, you caught me. It's actually a thief that came here to hack the camera."

Is he stupid? He's gonna get us both in trouble.

"You're really weird sometimes, I'll ask him directly.  So, what brings you here?"

"The computer has a problem, I'm here to fix it. We're waiting for the update to download."

"Oh I see. It wasn't that hard Leo, you could have said that since the beginning. Anyway, I'm Rose. I'm the daughter of the leader of the police, and you?"

"I'm Roland, I work in computer and stuff."

She seems to believe it so far. Thankfully the detective didn't put me too much in trouble.

"Nice to meet you, there's really something mysterious about you. I can't pinpoint what it is, can we see each other again?"

"Well, I'd love to yes."

She gave me her number on a paper. She comes across as a nice girl, but it's also a good way to get closer to the police. It's always better to have better intel. 

"I'll see you later, don't get annoyed by Leo too much."

She blows me a kiss and go away, I don't know if she's being friendly or if she's flirting. 
The virus is over, I'll need to go see Eirika to know if it works.

"Thanks for the help Leo, I appreciate."

"If you truly are thankful, then succeed. I'll give you my number too, if you need help I'll do my best. But don't put my name on your phone, I don't want my reputation to get tarnished."

"Yeah, I'll put a nice nickname for you. I'll probably need more information before doing the heist, do you know where the documents are?"

"Even I don't have access to that, Detective Lucie might know. I'll talk about it with her."

"Thanks, I'll go now. I need to make sure everything is going well for now."

We part ways. He goes to work and I get back home, I need to make sure the virus worked.

"I'm back home."

"I saw that you installed the virus, I was able to hack the cameras. But I don't know where the documents are, and they don't seem to be stored in the computers."

"They must really want to hide it, it will be hard to steal this time."

"Are you sure you want to do it? I searched some documents, I have reasons to believe the mafia is involved."

The mafia? If it's true, we're getting ourselves in danger.

"It's okay if you don't want to get involved in that mess, but I will do it. Even alone."

"Are you kidding? For once, I get to use my programming skills! I finally have something to the level of my talent. But there's only so much I can do, I can't find where the documents are. I would have liked to know how many policemen there will be at night." 

"I maybe know someone that can help."

The moment I think that I get a message from him, it's a great timing. He says he found where the documents are. I reply to ask him if he can come to our house, there are other things I want to ask too.

"My source of info will come soon."

"Wow, you really look like you know what you're doing."

"Because I do, you could have more faith in me."

After a few hours, Leo arrived here. He seems like he had a rough day.

"Hey, thanks for coming here."

"Is that really your house? You gave your address to a detective?"

"He's a detective? Why haven't you told me idiot!?"

I should have thought more about it. But what's important is that now we're all together and that we get the information we need.

"I trust him. So, you know where the documents are?"

"Yes, they are kept by the police's chief. It's the father of Rose, in case you forgot. Only him has the key to go to his office. So if you want to enter, you'll need the key."

"I'll find a way for that." I can always try to get closer to Rose for that. "There's something else I wanted to know, can you tell us how many persons will be in the police station at night?"

"I don't know their schedule, I can search it if you want. I may be able to get it for tomorrow."

"Why are you both talking like he's in the team? He's a detective! The thing that we're supposed to hide from!"

"I understand, Eirika, but we need all the help we can get. And having someone from the police in our team can only help."

She seems hesitant. She doesn't want him in our team, but I'm sure she understands how important it is.

"Fine, but he needs a code name. I don't want anyone to know a detective is with us."

"I don't wish to be associated with thieves either."

"It's perfect then, we just need to find a code name for you. You have an idea for that?"

"It's not important, just choose a simple one."

"So I can call you dickhead?"

"Don't say that, we need him on our team."

"This Shortie can call me whatever she wants."

"I'm not that small!"

"Both of you, shut up! Leo, your name will be Libra."

"This name sucks. I don't like him, but you could have given him a better name."

"I agree with the Shortie, it looks more like a joke."

Why are they both agreeing now? They really are annoying to deal with.

"Until you get a brighter idea, you're Libra. I'm Raven, and she's Justice."

"Very well, it's not like I'll have this name for long."

After that conversation, he left. He didn't seem annoyed surprisingly, more amused. He left with a smile on his face. Now all I need is to contact Rose.  I sent her a text to ask if we can see each other tomorrow.

"You bought chips on the way home?"

"No, I forgot."

She throws an empty packet of chips at me. It barely reaches me and just fall on the ground.
I'll try to remember to buy some when I'll see Rose tomorrow
