The sound of running footsteps met Seven's ears, the grip he had on the vine in his hand tightening. He could make out a yellow figure, quickly recognizing it as Squeaks, who seemed to be running as though she were in slow motion. A look of fear was stuck on her face, which was understandable if Seven were in her position.

The world around them gain a blue tint, the feeling of static electricity making his cheeks and hands feel fuzzy, the hair on the back of his neck standing up.

Shortly after Squeaks came through the entrance of the ring, he saw their target. Mono was walking in a normal pace, right behind Squeaks, hands held behind his back, coattails lightly flowing after him.

From his spot in the bushes, he looked to Rain. He could see an angered yet terrified look in her eyes. If this didn't work, who knew what would happen to them.

Seven knew what would happen to him, he'd be dead; but, Mono 'cared' for Rain, he wasn't sure what would happen to her.

Finally, Squeaks lead their target into the ring, Seven and Rain gripping and pulling on the vine. Whatever sort of aura Mono had around them all made their movements unbelievably slow as they pulled back to click all the dials on the TVs.

Seven saw Mono raise his hand towards Squeaks, who jumped up to try and get to the top of the stack. He flicked his hand down, an invisible force slinging her down and bashing her into the ground.

The surge of new found rage in see that paper bag wearing, frequency manipulating, short as hell, dictating bastard hurting his only friend made him give a final harsh tug on the vine.

All at once, the TVs lit up, and the slow moving aura evaporated from existence. Mono let out a loud scream, grabbing his head, Squeaks laying in the ground for a few more heartbeats before trying to get up. The boy in blue rushed to one of the exits they left for her, helping her out.

She was shaking, softly whincing as she crawled out, falling on the ground under her. He gave her a small smile, reaching over and patting her head slightly. "Good job, we'll take care of the rest."

He got up, taking ahold of some leftover vine, entering the ring of TV. Mono clutched his head, blue static crackled along his body, raspy and hoarse breathing coming from him. He was on his knees, muscles tense as the signal wrecked through his body and (hopefully) mind.

Seven wasted no time, reaching out and taking the other's wrists, holding them behind his back, moving swiftly to tie them. The blue rings of electricity made his hands have a tingly feeling, like pins and needles as they brushed over him. With his head still low, the Commander gave a growl.

"I should have known it was you,"

"It's your own damn fault for falling for it."

Mono snatched his hand back, raising it up quickly before Seven could catch it again. An ear splitting ringing sounded around them, the closest screen to them shattering into millions of peices, as did the one next to it, then the next, then the next. Soon half of the bottom TVs were broken.

With each screen breaking, the ring's hold on the other seemed to weakened, Mono slowly able to straighten up to where he was more comfortable. Seven acted fast, throwing his arm around the other's neck, pulling and trying to stop him from breaking any more.

Mono gave a few coughs as the other held him in a tight choke hold, suddenly turning his attention from destroying the TVs to getting rid of the other. "Let go of me!" He grabbed his arm, Seven letting out a cry of pain as it felt like lighting had struck him.

He pulled away quickly, his stomach sudden churning. It wasn't hunger pains, but his stomach growled and snarled, making him feel queasy. The uncomfortable feeling of bile raising in the back of his throat made him feel more sick than what he originally was, added onto it was a sense of tightness.

Black liquid suddenly seeped out from his mouth, drops dripping onto the grass. He cough, choked by the black goo like substance; but he felt like no matter how hard he tried he couldn't breath. Shadows, his body trying to reject the transmission, when did he-

Mono got to his feet, before throwing an arm back, the frequency and static around him sending Seven flying into a TV screen behind him, crackling and nearly fracturing the screen, which now dimly flickered on and off behind him.

"You're a pain in the ass, you know?" He grunted, head held not fully upright, rather hanging it low. His other hand came up, placing it on the outside of his bag as he grumbled in pain.

'So that was the cause of his headaches,' the boy in blue concluded. It wasn't like it mattered now, he had to do something. What it was, he wasn't really sure. Knock him out? Kill him? Somehow make his powers stop working? Right now he'd be very appreciative to any higher force if they took those away at this very moment.

With a small wave from the other's hand, Seven felt his head be slammed back to the screen behind him. Pieces of glass splintering off and cutting the side of his head and face, rich bright red blood covering the spot as he curled up slightly from the pain.

He still couldn't breathe, his throat felt like it was tightening by the second, more black liquid covering him. His head rang and his ears were filled with white noise, growing louder as Mono rose his hand again.

"I'm guessing Rain told you about everything that happened while you were gone? Don't blame her if she did, really."

Seven let out a pain filled, strangled cry as his head was slammed back into the screen, more blood spilling onto its glass eye. His vision blurred from the lack of oxygen and blood loss, before feeling himself being lifted up, snatched forward towards the other.

The three rips on Mono's bag gave way for the TV screens to light up bits of his face. The pale crooked lines of where claws had nearly ripped out his eye were lit up from the darkness of his bag.

His dead glossy gaze could barely be seen through the spots as Seven tried to cling to consciousness.

"Rain's got a heart of gold, but terrible judgement and is a full blown idiot all the time. She can say what she wants about it, I do care for her. I can't help how stupid her choices are."

Seven coughed again as he felt the last bit of airway he had left being cut off, strangling against the liquid and static that enclosed around his throat, eyes too blurry to see.

Suddenly, he was dropped, falling to the ground like a rock as shouts were heard. "Let go you mangy flea-bag!"

The force of the drop knocked what little air remained in the former pyro tech's lungs, the shadows that had been in his throat finally knocking loose. A splash of black hit the ground beside him, a rather unsettling pile of the goo in the middle of the puddle.

He took a quick breath, looking over his shoulder, seeing blurry silhouettes against the snow of the TV. Squeaks gave a loud growl, her back arched in an attempt to look scary, her teeth caught around the Commander's sleeve.

He kicked her, a hurt yelp sounding from her as she was knocked lose from her bite. Mono rose a hand, flinging her into a TV with little to no effort. She hit the screen hard, enough for her to almost break the glass just like he had. Seven pushed himself to feet, albeit stumbling a little, but got up.

He ran up behind the other, jumping and knocking him down onto his stomach. He latched his teeth into his shoulder, raising a cry of pain from the other under him. He wrapped and arm around his throat, clawing at him with his rather sharp nails, the two rolling on the ground.

Mono reached over his shoulder, grabbing his attacker by his hair, pulling to make him let go, while he kicked and try to claw the other back.

Seven flinched as a blind swing from the other nicked the underside of his right eye, his bite loosening to where the boy in the trenchcoat could escape from his jaws.

The two continued to roll, this time Mono grabbing the other and rolling him under him to pin him down. Seven had given a loud growl, before kicking his leg from under him, resulting in their rolling as they continued to fight.

Seven was able to try and scratch the other's more exposed neck where his collar flew up, only to be met with a bite. He let out a cry of pain, barely squinting and looking to see the other's jaws wrapped around his wrist.

The rolling had cause significant damage to the paper bag, fragments littered about and soggy from the dew on the grass.

Mono's messy dark brown hair, almost blackish colored hair fluffed out, as he wiggled and thrashed under him, never letting go from his bit. Flashes of the scars on his face could be seen. His brown and green eyes was narrowed, a look of anger and hatred in the dead shine of them.

He thrashed enough to where Seven lost his grip during the rolling, quickly pinning the other under him and straddled his hips. He clenched a fist, slamming it into the other's lower jaw, sending a painful jolt rattle in his skull.

The TVs suddenly began to blair around them with their humming, growing louder and louder, the screen getting brighter with each heartbeat. Seven looked at the other, before catching a flash behind his attacker in the TV screen.

A dark figure seemed to look out from the snow of the glass eye, tall and thin, silhouette standing behind Mono in an almost disappointed way.

Mono wrapped his hands around his neck, squeezing it tightly. "I hate you," he grumbled under his breath, "everyone in the rebellion hates you."

Seven let out a cry of pain, Mono's grip tightening as he seemed to use his powers once again. His throat tightened, the feeling of being electrocuted by the static made his body clench as his muscles locked up from the shock.

"Thirteen hated you, Four hated you. I'm sure even Rain hates you. You're a piss poor waste of space, you're a horrible person to be around, you destroy everything you touch and leave ashes behind you everywhere you go. If I kill you, I'd be doing everyone a favor. Good thing I plan on making it a slow process."

The figure dissappeared as Seven felt his heart almost stop beating from the electricity. He tried to ignore what the other was saying, he didn't want to hear him. Stars above, he couldn't breath again, he couldn't scream, couldn't do anything.

He couldn't fight back, just forced to stare at the TV screen behind his soon to be killer at where the person once stood, but his vision soon started to become foggy. Can't breathe, can't breathe, can't-

A shove knocked Mono off of him, and in a heartbeat the electricity stopped, and Seven finally got a breath of air in his lungs. His heart beating wildly in his chest, hearing noises he was too weak to look at.

"Get off me!" Mono snapped. A cry of immense pain sounded behind him. The sound of teeth ripping into flesh alerted him, not to mention the warm feeling of blood at the splash on his cheek.

Weakly, he finally turned his head, staring at the sight. Rain held the other by his neck in her mouth, her eyes closed as tears started to go down her cheeks. Her hands held him by his arms to keep him still as she held him up in place.

Warm blood cascaded down from the front of his jacket and shirt, the bite to the neck puncturing his lifeblood giving artery. Rain seemed to realize it too, but looked more horror stricken that victorious.

She slowly let go with her jaws, a ghastly look on her face as the quickly paling body of the other fell forward. She shook as she got up, her pale green eyes widening in fear of what she had done. Seven wanted to comfort her, but his muscles were still locked up.

Her breathing was quick and uneven, Rain staring at the bleeding out body of who the other once saw as their best friend. Their rescuer, their Commander, the person who they once dedicated most if not all of their life to.

Here he was now, limp and white as snow. Bag no longer hiding his scarred face, nor his different colored eyes start now stared out into nothingness. His teeth were still red from his own blood and Seven's blood, a few old scars looked to be ripped out just the smallest bit, red covering them as well.

Seven wasn't sure if it was from adrenaline from the moment or if Rain lost herself for a moment, but watched with wide eyes as Rain reached out, grabbing a sharp rock. She rose it up, coming to the former Commander's skull, starting to bash it over and over with the stone, cuts covering his temple and head and blood painting him.

Seven jumped up once he got control over his body again, wrapping his arms around his sister, having to pull her away. She thrashed in his arms as he pulled her away, kicking at the limp body. "Rain! Rain, stop it, he's dead!"

Rain could only tremble in his arms, dropping the rock and throw herself into a hug in her brother's arms. She shook, sobs escaping her as she clutched his blue jacket. "I-I thought he was going to kill you- I tried to find something to help, and when I came back he was over you and you weren't fighting him off and Squeaks wasn't answering me. I just jumped and- I didn't- I just- I-"

Seven shushed her, gently consoling his sister, looking down at Mono and Rain to see the full damage. Blood covered Mono's head, jacket, shirt, and even the top of his pants, obvious from the bite mark that still seemed to bleeding. Rain's hands, around her mouth, and coat was red and stained, as was her tights.

He let her hold onto him for just a few moments longer, letting her cry from her shock of what she had down. He glanced up, looking to Squeaks. She was slowly sitting up, whimpering as she put a closed hand to her head.

Seven frowned, gently taking his sister's hand, letting her clutch his arm as he stumbled over to the other. "Squeaks? You okay?"

Squeaks looked up, before a look of relief came to her face. The boy in blue gave a sigh, crouching down. "Look, I appreciate the help, but don't do that again. Like, ever."

He rested a hand on her head, gently ruffling her black hair. Squeaks gave a small smile, before looking over to Mono's body, growling at it. Seven gave a sigh. "Hey, don't worry about him, he's gone, okay? C'mon, we need to get to Nosebleed and the rebellion and try to-"

Seven was caught off by a loud sound of an explosion. The three looked over to where the noise came from. "That was from the bridge, the explosives in the truck must have gone off," Rain stated quickly.

"Shit, we got to go before the adults find them, that probably woke any nearby settlements a mile from here," Seven said. Rain nodded her head, grabbing her brother's hand, for a moment seemingly forgetting about what she had done, leading the way. Seven followed behind her, Squeaks making up the rear of the group.

Behind them, the ring of TVs shut off, darkness hiding the gruesome scene from any spying eyes.
