The New Kid
Lillie's PoV:
As I drove to school, I couldn't get that boy out of my head. How he fought, how he talked, how he looked, everything. Letting out a quiet sigh, I gazed out at the growing school, trying to focus on the upcoming lesson.
Books, check. Pencils, check. Notebooks, check. Loose leaf, check. Homework, done. All set!
The car stopped and the driver opened my door. Smiling, I unbuckled and got out, giving him a nod.
"Thank you."
"You are welcome, Miss Lillie. Have a nice day at school."
He drove away and I walked up the stairs only for a Salandit to jump out at me. I let out a yelp and a Thunderbolt attack hit it from behind me. Turning around, I saw Ash with his Pikachu and Rowlett, all ready for battle.
Smiling, I let out a sigh. "Thank you."
Ash smiled. "Don't sweat about it! Come on, let's get to class!"
I nodded and we walked side-by-side without any more incidents and I saw an extra desk in the classroom. Ash noticed it, too.
"I wonder why there's an extra desk today?"
Ash shrugged. "Mistake? Who knows?"
I shrugged as well and sat down, organizing my supplies for the day. What I didn't expect was a new student.

Sun's PoV:
I was sitting on the roof of the school when Kukui sent me a text message.
You can come in now.
Smiling, I hopped down and walked over to the classroom. Peeking in, I saw that everyone was focusing on the paper before them. Quietly, I entered the room and Kukui glanced at the door to see me sneaking in. Smiling, he gestured for me to hid behind his desk. Doing so, the students got done with whatever it was that they were doing and walked up to the front to hand it over. Looking up, I saw the blonde girl's head and my eyes widened.
Don't look down, don't look down, don't look down!
Thankfully, she walked away without seeing me and once everyone was in their seats, Kukui smiled.
"Okay, class, we're going to be getting a new student!"
They burst into questions, trying to ask "What are they like?" "What's their name?" "Do they have a Pokemon?" and so on.
Kukui raised a hand. "Now calm down, you'll find out really soon. You can come out now!" He looked down to see me gone. A look of confusion spread across his face.
"What the-?"
Star and I suddenly appeared next to him, smiling. Naturally, the two of us shocked the whole class. Looking around, I laughed.
"Sorry, just wanted to have some fun. We did that by using Aura to bend light around us, making us invisible."
Kukui shook his head, smiling. "This is Sun, from Ransei. Care to introduce your partner and tell us a bit about yourselves?"
Star lept off my shoulder and balanced on one foot. "This is Star, my trusty companion. We've been together ever since we were alive. We know each other inside and out, better than anyone else. The two of us can even sense the other's emotions!"
Their eyes widened.
"We've accomplished this by the bond we share. Also, we've been honing our Auras for a long time now."
Kukui smiled. "Thank you, Sun. Now, class, are there any questions for our new student?"
The girl with blonde hair raised her hand.
"Yes, Lillie?"
"Why is Star gold instead of blue?"
I smirked. "He's a shiny!"
Her eyes widened. "Wait, what???"
We all laughed but froze when we saw a Reshiram hovering by the railing. Noticing a saddle strapped onto it, I walked over, giving it a good scratching.
"*Got a package for me?*"
The mail Pokemon (from Ransei, duh) reached for something and handed me a padded box. Placing it in my hands, it gave me a goofy salute as it flew away, heading back to its handler.
I turned around to see the class looking at me. "Uh, right. Y'see, Ransei is jam-packed with Legendary Pokemon. That Reshiram was a part of the mail service in place to make mail quick and simple. But Legendary Pokemon are reserved for important deliveries, like eggs or getting food to disaster areas."
Lillie tilted her head a little. "Does it cost more to use Legendary Pokemon?"
"Only a bit. But you can't hire them for mail that'll stay in Ransei. Hoenn also uses normal Pokemon, like Braviary, to send eggs and stuff, but beyond that, Legendary Pokemon are used for eggs. Unperishable things, like potions or letters, are carried by Handler and normal Pokemon."
"Handler?"
"Basically, it's the person in charge of housing and taking care of a particular Mail Pokemon. Typically, Handlers don't own their Mail Pokemon, but they still form a bond."
The class nodded and the one person who I don't the name of raised his hand. Kukui looked at him.
"Yes, Sophocles?"
"Is it cool if I ask what's inside?"
"Huh? Oh! Right!"
Placing the box on the one open desk, I opened it to see... an egg holder. Taking the container out, I popped open the lid and lifted it up, revealing a bright white egg. Confused, I put the lid down and gazed at the egg.
"I've never seen an egg like this."
Everyone gathered around me and Lillie leaned in to examine the egg. "Bright white, no destinctive markings, no irregular shape... I can't tell what kind of egg this is, either. Did it come with a note?"
"Hang on, let me look."
I dug around in the first package and found nothing, not even a return adress. "Nope, nothing."
Sophocles scratched his head. "Really? Nothing?"
"Yeah, not even a return adress, which shouldn't happen because the system won't take packages without a return adress. Someone must have given the Pokemon the package directly and told it to find me. But that shouldn't be possible. Oh well. What's done is done, I guess."
The others nodded and we sat down for the lesson. My eyes kept drifting to the egg on my desk.
Where did it come from? What will it hatch into? Only time will tell.
