They rode as fast as they could without wearing out their horses.
When they got to the castle, Elsa said they needed to see Horace and Gilan's father.
Soon, they were in a conference.
"So, what are we looking at?" Gilan's father asked.
"Well, these are-" Elsa started, only to be cut off by Gilan.
"Before we get into these plans, we need to know exactly who you are, and if how you were injured ties into it as well, we need to know."
"Very well. I am Queen Elsa of Arendell, and a year ago, I was coronated. That was also the day my sister requested my blessings for her marrige to Prince Hans of the Southern Isles, who she had just met that day.
"We argued, and I got so mad that she stole my glove, and I ran. Well, Hans betrayed us, and he was sent back to his brothers in disgrace. Trust me, you do not want minute details."
"We will do anything to aid your country if you are in tough times, your majesty." Horace said.
"Well, according to these plans, Hans realized that I stumbled through the portal here in this cave. He now knows that there is a chance someone (she glanced at Gilan) could have found me and helped me, which means I'm still alive. He already knew about this portal before I did, and he now plans to take Arulen, as soon as he takes Arendell. The army we saw on the other side of the cave must have been his. They are taking Arendell first which gives you three weeks to get your army together." Elsa explained.
"Is that the short version?"Gilan asked jokingly, only to be scolded by his father.
"Your Ranger's are in charge of gathering the army. Get a move on." his father ordered.
"Yes sir." Gilan said, immediately getting to his feet.
There were three people Elsa had seen Gilan take orders from: The Crown Princess, Sir Horace, and his father. Gilan never took anyone else seriously, except the king, who Elsa didn't know yet.
"What can we do to aid you, your majesty?" Gilan's father asked.
"We just need to get this done so I can find out if my sister and brother in law are alright." Elsa said in response.
She went to Gilan's office and sat in a chair near the desk.
"Was there something you needed, Elsa?" he questioned, not looking up from his work.
"Just... Some company. I'm worried.... About my sister."
"It'll be alright. We'll defeat Hans and his army, and I'll kill the bastard myself for hurting you this way."
Two weeks later, Arulen's entire army, calvery, Ranger's, archers, all of it, were assembeld at the cave.
"Will, Maddie, go through the cave and see if their army is still there." Gilan ordered.
The two rangers disappeared, and came back ten minutes later reporting there was no one in the area.
Once the army was through the portal, Elsa stopped Horace when he said to set up camp.
"There is a town near by that Hans would've bypassed. It is big enough to shelter us all, and the villagers are more than willing to serve me." she said.
"Alright. We make for a village to the...." Horace glanced to Elsa for a direction.
"East." she said softly.
"East!"
When they arrived, Elsa said she was going for a walk.
"Can I come?" Gilan asked.
"Queen Elsa, Princess Anna and Kristoff have been taken prisoner!" one of the villagers informed her.
"Thank you, and I'm sorry Gilan, but I would prefer if you would let me be alone right now."
"Of course. Anything for you."
She blushed, and left the room.
She then realized she forgot her gloves and headed back to get them, but stopped just outside the doorway. There was a conversation going on.
"Smooth Gilan. Anything for you, seriously Gilan? Real smooth."
"Oh, shut up Will. She's a higher rank. From a different world than us nonetheless. I have no chance. Plus she probably already has someone."
Who is he talking about? Elsa wondered to herself. She must be pretty special to him.
"Well, you said that Jenny rejected you again. Are you really over her that quickly?"
"This one is different, but I don't think she even pays much attention to me."
"What is her name again?"
"Elsa."
She was a little surprised, especially with the way his voice changed from distressed to calm when he said her name.
She shifted positions and only made the slightest sound.
"Did you hear that?" Gilan asked from the other room.
"I'm sure it was nothing." Will said. He knew Elsa had been listening outside the door the entire time, but said nothing.
Gilan walked out and Elsa made it seem like she had just gotten there.
"Back already?" he asked, surprised at how quick she was.
"No, I forgot my gloves." she said.
"It's the middle of summer."
"My hands are cold though."
"All of you is cold; your skin is like ice."
"Yes, now I need my gloves."
"Oh alright."
He was just messing with her and she knew that.
She slipped past him to the room where Will still was.
"Sooo." she heard the ranger say from behind her.
"Yes?"
"I assume you heard the whole conversation since you were outside the door for a while?"
"Yes."
"And what are you going to say to him?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well he plans on proposing once we bear Hans. He wants to kill Hans himself.
