DO NOTT (get it? Theodore Nott? No?)
If you are, indeed, writing something, here are some actually useful DON'Ts:
DON'TS
A character who has an obsession (a major one) with a particular item
That just doesn't happen in real life. Unless you're mentally disabled.
The 'crazy' sibling
Not everyone is crazy.
A best friend that pays for everything
Seriously. What even.
More than one person who loves the main character to death
Nope. Have you seen the amount of people who suicide because no one loves them? That just doesn't happen.
Traumatised main character
To make your character special, you don't need to traumatise them, bruh.
Every character has a sob story
Not everyone is depressed, suicidal and bi-polar. Stop romanticising these things.
Weirdly happy person
C'mon, just because everyone doesn't have a sob story don't mean that they are ALWAYS happy. Just have them blank sometimes.
Loving a bully
Read the sub-heading. Read it again. think back to bullies: are they lovable people? Nope. If you just said yes, then the mental asylum is that way -->
Detached mother
have you looked at your mom? She sure as hell cares about you. If she doesn't, it means you're blind and you looked at the neighbour.

There ya go!
See, they were actually helpful!

Yolo singing Solo (find it)
---
Also, in the previous, I think you all misunderstood what sappy means.
Sappy means emotional, sentimental.
Sad and sappy aren't the same things.

Kamera Out!
