I don't know.
Just random thoughts that came to my head. This is sorta like a poem, but not really. Not one of those rhyming ones, but oh well.

Rejection.
What other word to describe my life?
Heartbroken.
What other word to describe my soul?

When one loves someone,
They tend to be scared.
Scared that feelings won't be returned.
Scared of that frightening word:

Rejection.

Why does this fear holds us back?
It's uncertain.
But there are things, many things,
That make rejection scarier.

If one loves someone,
And don't have a close friendship,
With this person,
They tend to be less afraid of:

Rejection.

Sure, if rejected, they're heartbroken,
But normally only for a short time.
They didn't have a close relationship,
Not to even begin with.

They soon get over it.
They move on.
Of course, this isn't always the case.
As rejection can get deeper.

Rejection.

Rejection of love hurts.
It really does.
But what makes it hurt more.
Is when it's from someone...

That you're close friends with.

Fear of rejection,
It fills one so much,
That they can't bear to tell them,
Everything they feel about them.

They're scared of losing,
Losing what they already have.
Their friendship they've grown,
Could possibly be ruined.

It makes things awkward,
So they tend to pretend,
To not love them that way,
No matter how painful it is.

They don't want to lose them,
They'd rather be friends,
Than not have them at all.
So they hold back, scared of:

Rejection.

They don't tell anyone,
Not even other close friends,
Perhaps because of memories,
Of previous rejections.

They don't want anything,
To happen to their love,
So they keep it hidden,
Though it hurts so much.

Sometimes they'll say,
'I'll do it today!'
But before they can,
Fear holds them back.

The fear of rejection.

They later regret it.
Regret not confessing.
They wish they could go back.
But it's too late...

Why must fear hold us back?
I wish that it didn't,
Because for all we know,
The one you love...

Loves you back...

But they're also scared...

Of...

Rejection.

So, my friend,
Take a chance.
Don't let fear step in the way.
That fear of rejection.

For all it is,
It's just a word.
But it tries to make itself,
Seem like so much more.

The world needs more love,
It's needs less hate.
The world needs more bravery,
And it needs less cowardliness.

But can we say,
That fear entirely our fault?
No, it is human nature.
Fear is a naturally part of us.

Without fear, we'd risk our lives.
Fear keeps us from danger,
That is, if we choose to listen.
But sometimes, we must face fear.

Bravery is not being fearless.
Bravery is being scared,
But willing to face it.
Fear never leaves us.

When you love someone,
It can be difficult to confess. 
But I say, try to sometime.
You never know...

They may just love you too.

I can't promise anything.
Rejection does happen.
But even if it does,
Don't let it get you down.

It's a temporary feeling.
If someone doesn't love you,
For who you are,
They're not worth it.

You'll find someone.
Someone who loves you,
For who you truly are.
And you'll be glad...

That you didn't waste time,
Grieving over someone,
Who didn't want your heart.
Never let rejection get the best of you.

Instead, be thankful for those,
Those people you have.
Your family, your friends,
They'll always be there.

So...  Yeah. I don't know how this came into my head, but I'm proud of it, ha. I don't know if this was inspiring or not, but at least I could put down these random thoughts into writing.
