Chapter two
Still Dave's pov
..sportsy..orange baby..he was here! Keyword: 'was'. There were boxes and crates scattered around, and then in the corner behind some of the boxes and crates and stuff, was a blanket as well as some empty beer bottles, pictures, broken bottles, and a pillow. Sports had to have been hiding back here before. Now I have to find where he is at the moment.
I walked out of room, shutting the door behind me so it didn't look like anyone had been there, didn't want him to know someone found his place. I decided to look around the entrance first, he wasn't there. Then I looked in the kitchen, he wasn't there. ThEn I looked in the backroom one last time, he wasn't there. Where could he be? "The ball pit!" He'd of course be there. Right..?
Only one way to find out. I made my way to where the ball pit was, that ball pit was like a void. I mean, we through countless things in there and they never came out! As soon as I entered the room in which held the ball pit, I saw him. He was there. Sportsy! He did seem off, he was holding his knees up to his chest looking down into the ball pit. He didn't seem all joyful anymore, maybe he was missing me!
I approached sportsy quietly and studied how he looked for a good minute before speaking up. "Hello there, Sportsy!" The orange man jumped slightly at the sound of my voice. He quickly stood up, not making full eye contact with me. "Dave- what are you doing here?" He didn't seem to be happy that I was there. "I work here, Sportsy" I mean, why wouldn't he be happy that I was here?
"I mean- why are you here" I was still confused. "Sportsy, I work here. I was birthed by a strange lady." What else was I meant to say? "No! I mean- were you looking for me?" He seemed to be struggling with finding words. Strange. "Of course not, sportsy! I just wondered by the ball pit after looking around for nobody!" He sighed and shook his head. "Goodbye, Dave." He began to walk away. That was it, something snapped in me.
I grabbed his wrist as he walked away and it caused him to stop walking and tug his hand away. "Dave, I said goodbye. What else do you want for me?" He was sweating. "I want to know why you have been avoiding me, sportsy!" He gave another sigh. "D-dave..I-" he paused for a moment, taking in a deep breath before continuing "goodbye, Dave." And just like that, he was gone. I'll just camp out in his hiding spot and jump up at him when he walks in. It's the perfect plan.
