"Thanos spent a long time trying to perfect me. And when he worked, he talked about his 'Great Plan'. Even disassembled, I wanted to please him. I'd ask... where would be go once his plan was complete? His answer was always the same. "To the Garden"." Nebula explained as everyone stood around the table (Y/N) and Rocket were previously talking at. 

"That's cute. Thanos has a retirement plan." Rhodes joked. 

"So, where is he?" Steve asked. Rocket stood on the table and clicked a button on a small remote to bring up a hologram of the Earth. 

"When Thanos snapped his fingers... Earth became ground zero for a power surge of ridiculously cosmic proportions. No one's ever seen anything like it. Until two days ago... on this planet." He explained as the hologram revealed another planet, similar to Earth. 

"Thanos is there." Nebula assured. 

"He used the stones again." Natasha noted as she closely inspected the hologram. 

"Hey, hey, hey. We'd be going in shorthanded, you know." Banner added. 

"Look, he's still got the stones so-" Rhodes began before Carol interrupted him. 

"So, let's get 'em. Use them to bring everyone back." She suggested. 

"Just like that?" Banner asked. 

"Yeah. Just like that." Steve agreed. 

"Even if there's a small chance that we can undo this... I mean, we owe it to everyone who's not in this room to try." Natasha added. 

"if we do this, how do we know it's gonna end any differently than it did before?" Banner asked. 

"Because before you didn't have me." Carol answered. 

"Hey, new girl? Everybody in this room is about that superhero life. And if you don't mind my asking, where the hell have you been all this time?" Rhodes asked with slight aggression. 

"There are a lot of other planets in the universe. And unfortunately, they didn't have you guys." Carol complimented. Rhodes looked to Steve, a little more in favour of the plan. A chair screeched roughly against the floor and Carol turned around the see Thor stand up and walk over to her. His hand was brought up next to her head and his newly made axe attracted itself into his grasp. Carol's hair swung from the wind created. She smirked with her eyes slightly squinted. 

"I like this one." Thor admitted. Steve stared at the planet hologram then to the other Avengers. 

"Let's go get this son of a bitch."

The Milano flew through Earth's atmosphere and into space. The Avengers and Guardians sat in all the seats with Rocket and (Y/N) sat in the two driver-seats. "Okay. Who here hasn't been to space?" Rocket asked. About three or four hands were raised. 

"Why?" Rhodes asked. 

"You better not throw up on my ship." 

"Approaching jump in three, two, one." (Y/N) announced before the Milano sped up rapidly and jumped through a hexagon, AKA a 'jump', and slowed down completely and arrived at the planet Thanos was supposedly on. Captain Marvel flew out of the ship. 

"I'll head down for recon." She said before she flew down to the planet. (Y/N) started a conversation from her seat next to Rocket. 

"We'll find him." She assured. "And the stones." 

Rocket sighed, "hope so... that shithead's gonna pay for what he did to our family." He said as he looked into (Y/N)'s eyes. They both shared the same furious determination. Then Carol spoke from outside the ship. 

"No satellites. No ships. No armies. No ground defences of any kind. It's just him." She explained. 

"And that's enough." Nebula nodded.

Thanos sat by his fire in his newly made cabin. He noticed something was off as he looked up through the wooden roof. Meer seconds passed and a yellow blast shot through the ceiling. Thanos protected himself with his gloved hand. Carol flew through and locked her arm around his neck, choking him, but not enough to kill him. Banner jumped through a wall in his red metal-hulk suit and held down Thanos' hand that held the glove. Rhodes held down his other arm in his War Machine armour. (Y/N) flew through the entrance and cocked her self-made yet deadly rifle and aimed it on Thanos' heart, her wings held up for intimidation out of instinct. Thor ran through and used his axe to chop off Thanos' gloved hand. Steve, Natasha and Rocket walked through the front entrance. Rocket flipped over the chopped off hand to grab the stones. But they weren't there. 

"Oh no..." He gasped as Steve and Natasha noticed the same thing.

"Where are they?" Steve asked. 

"Answer the question." Carol demanded as her grip tightened around Thanos' neck. 

"The universe required correction. After that, the stones served no purpose... beyond temptation." Thanos 'answered'. 

"You murdered trillions!" Banner objected as he pushed Thanos over. 

"You should be grateful." Thanos grunted back but Banner just punched him. 

"Where are the stones?" Natasha asked. 

"Gone. Reduced to atoms."

"You used them two days ago!" Banner added. 

"I used the stones to destroy the stones." Thanos finally gave an actual answer. "It nearly killed me."

"Why didn't it." (Y/N) muttered bitterly, her gun still aimed. 

"But the work is done." He continued. "It always will be. I am... inevitable." 

"We have to tear this place apart. He has to be lying!" Rhodes disagreed. 

"My father is many things." Nebula stopped. "A lair is not one of them."

"Ahh... Thank you, daughter." Thanos smiled slightly as Nebula walked slowly towards him. "Perhaps I treated you to harshly." He admitted before instantly being decapitated by Thor's axe. The thud of his head was sickening as it rolled an extra couple of feet. Nebula placed her fingers on her face, which was covered in small amounts of blood. 

"What-" Banner gasped. 

"What did you do...?" Rocket said in a whisper. 

"...I went for the head." Thor replied before he walked out of the small house. Nebula kneeled down beside her deceased father's head and gently closed his eyes. Everyone looked around, anywhere that wasn't at someone's eyes. Or Thanos' dismembered body. Everyone left the cabin, unsure of exactly what to do next. But what they did know, is that they needed a break from this shit.
