A transmitter that (Y/N) held beeped loudly. "Finally! Rocket?" 

"Keep that transmitter nearby, so I can find you. We're in an old piece of constuction equipment Yondu once used to slice open the Bank of A'askavaria." Rocket explained. 

"Ego's unhinged." (Y/N) said as she and the group walked out of the room. 

"I know. Get ready."

Drax, Gamora, (Y/N), Mantis and Nebula bust through the front doors of the building Ego was in. They saw Quill in the air being held up by white and blue beams of celestial magic. The massive window on top of the ceiling suddenly smashed and a small yellow ship flew through. 

"Hey there, jackass!" Yondu yelled. The ship crashed right on top of Ego and Peter was dropped as the magic dispersed. The team ran into the room and over to the ship. The door slid open to reveal Baby Groot. 

"Out of the way, dumber, smaller Groot!" Drax yelled as he, (Y/N), Nebula and Mantis ran over to the ship. They climbed in as Groot started punching Drax's arm as he got into the ship. Gamora had ran over to Quill and helped him off the ground. 

"I told you something didn't feel right." Gamora said to the man. 

"'I told you so.' Just what I need to hear right now." 

"Well, I came back didn't I?" 

"Because there's an unspoken thing."

"There is no unspoken thing!" Gamora helped Quill walk over to the ship.

"What are you doing? You could've killed us all!" Drax exclaimed to Rocket as the talking racoon spun around in his chair to face Drax, Nebula and (Y/N) as Mantis paced back and forth. 

"Uh... 'thank you, Rocket'?" Rocket said sarcastically. 

"We had it under control." Drax explained. 

"We did not." Mantis said with fear. "That is only an extension of his true self. He will be back soon." She explained as Gamora and Peter got on the ship. 

"What's Smurfette doing here?" Quill asked, gesturing to Nebula. 

"Whatever I need to do to get a damn ride home." Nebula said with no emotion. 

"She tried to murder me!" Rocket exclaimed. 

"I saved you, you stupid fox." (Y/N) raised her wings in anger and took a step towards Nebula but Gamora stopped her. 

"He's not a fox." Gamora defended both Rocket and (Y/N). 

"I am Groot!" Groot argued. 

"I'm not a raboon, either."

"I am Groot." 

"'Racoon'. Whatever." Long bluish-white tentacles made of light and magic grew from the ground and raised above the ship.

"How do we kill a celestial?" Drax asked. 

"There's a centre to him. His brain, his soul, whatever it is. Some sort of protective shell." Quill said as he walked through the ship. 

"It's in the caverns below the surface." Mantis directed. The beams of magic began to wrap themselves around the ship. Quill climbed up to the top area of the ship with a certain blue someone sitting in the captain seat. 

"Yondu?!" Peter exclaimed. But Yondu was to busy trying to get the ship out of there. The ship was lifted off the ground before it flew back down frontwards. The entire building shook and everyone inside the ship almost stumbled before they all held onto something. 

"Thrusters are out." Yondu noted. 

"Guess I should be glad I was a skinny kid. Otherwise, you'd have delivered me to this maniac." Peter thought out loud. 

"You still reckon that's the reason I kept you around, you idiot?" 

"That's what you told me, you old doofus."

"Once I figured out what happened to them other kids, I wasn't just gonna hand you over." 

"You said you were gonna eat me." 

"That was being funny!"

"Not to me!"

"You people have issues." Rocket said from below deck. 

"Well, of course I have issues." A bright blue and white body that consisted of veins and bones rised from the ground in front of the ship. It growled and roared like a zombie. Peter pointed to the figure. "That's my freakin' father!.. Thrusters are back up!" The ship started up stronger than before and flew through the glowing figure, causing it to burst. They smashed through the front window and began to fall over a cliff. They continued falling as Gamora and Mantis held onto a bar in the middle of the ship, Nebula and Drax held onto the walls and (Y/N) held onto Rocket's chair with Groot in one arm. 

"We should be going up!" Yondu yelled. 

"We can't!" Peter yelled back. "Ego wants to eradicate the universe as we know it. We have to kill him. Rocket!" 

"Got it!" Rocket flipped a switch and multiple spheres traveled around the ship and over to the front. They released bright red laser beams and cut straight through the surface. The ship hit the walls but continued nonetheless. "So, we're saving the galaxy again?!" Rocket called out. 

"I guess!" Peter replied. 

"Awesome! We're really gonna be able to jack up our prices if we're two-time galaxy savers."

"I seriously can't believe that's where your mind goes."

"It was just a random thought, man. I thought we were friends. Of course, I care about the planets, and the buildings, and all the animals on the planets." 

"And the people."

"Meh. Only a few." He said, mentally pointing to (Y/N), Groot and the team. 

"The crabby puppy is so cute. He makes me wanna die!" Mantis exclaimed. 

"Tell me why Ego wants you here?" Yondu asked Quill. 

"He needs my genetic connection to the light to help destroy the universe. He tried to teach me how to control the power."

"So, could you?" 

"A little. I made a ball." 

"A ball?" Yondu asked, unamused.

"I thought as hard as I could. It was all that I could come up with."

"You 'thought'? You think when I make this arrow fly I use my head?" The ship jolted suddenly then continued flying steadily. Everyone looked around the centre of Ego's planet. Well, the inside of Ego himself, basically. Blue, white and more colours glew all around. Mantis walked to the other side of the ship and pointed threw the window. 

"There. That's Ego's core." She explained. 

"That ore is thick, Rocket." Gamora pointed out. 

"I got it covered." Rocket replied a he aimed the lasers at Ego's core. 

"We must hurry. It will not take Ego long to find us." Mantis warned. 

"Keep it steady." Rocket ordered before he began blasting the lasers at the massive core. 

"We drill into the centre, we kill him!" Peter yelled. 

"Captain?" Kraglin's voice was heard over the speakers.

"What is it, Kraglin?" Yondu replied. 

"Hey, remember that Ayesha chick?" 

"Yeah, why?" 

"Uh..." 

"Oh, hell!"
