"I am Mantis." The woman who walked out of the ship with Ego said to Drax and (Y/N). She gave an awkward smile. 

"What are you doing?" Drax asked.

"Smiling. I hear it is the thing to do to make people like you."

"Not if you do it like that." Drax mumbled as he took another spoonful of his soup. (Y/N), who was sitting next to him, hit him in the back with her right wing.

"Oh. I was raised alone on Ego's planet. I do not understand the intricacies of social interaction." Mantis explained. "May I ask, what are your names?" She asked.

"I'm (Y/N). This idiot here is Drax, that's Nebula and other there is-" "Can I pet your puppy? It is adorable." Mantis interrupted her. (Y/N) was about to say it was a back idea since Rocket doesn't let anyone touch him except Groot and herself. But Drax stopped her. "Yes." He nodded with a smile. (Y/N) just rolled her eyes and sat back. Mantis turned to face Rocket who was facing the other way, licking his paws to clean his face. The way a puppy would. Mantis reached to pet Rocket's head but as soon as she made contact, Rocket spun around and tried to bite her hand. Luckily, he missed. Mantis screamed as she pulled her hand away. Drax laughed loudly as Mantis looked at him in fear. "That is called a practical joke!" Drax said while he laughed. Mantis joined his laughter. "I liked it very much!" She exclaimed.

"I just made it up!" Drax said as they both continued laughing. Nebula shook her head, showing clearly how she did not want to be there.

Groot was sitting next to Rocket. He jumped off the log and walked over behind (Y/N). He climbed up her wing and stood on top. (Y/N) smiled and saw Rocket smiling at her. Mantis admired Groot. "He's so tiny." She said in awe. "I like your wings! They're very pretty." "Oh, uh thanks." (Y/N) replied with a semi-awkward grin before she heard Groot yawn right next to her ear. She stood up as she said, "Groot's getting tired. I'll go to bed too." She waved goodnight to them then walked into the ship. And after Gamora and Peter returned, so did everyone else.

"You're leaving me here with that fox?!" Nebula exclaimed angrily as Gamora and (Y/N) walked out of the ship with one bag each. 

"He's not a fox." Gamora said blankly. She walked past Groot who sat on a box near the door of the ship. "Shoot her if she does anything suspicious." She told Rocket before she joined Drax outside. Rocket grumbled a 'mhmm'. "Or if you feel like it." She finished. 

"Okay." He said blankly. 

(Y/N) walked over to Groot and kneeled in front of the box he was sitting on. (I thought this part would match better if (Y/N) said it) "It'll be just a couple of days." She said as she gave Groot a gentle stroke on the cheek. "We'll be back before Rocket's finished fixing the ship." She smiled as she stood up. (Y/N) gently tapped Rocket's shoulder with her wing as she continued to walk out of the ship. Rocket gave a small smile and wave as she exited. 

"What if the Sovereign come?" Drax asked Peter. 

"There's no way for them to know we're here. Let's go." Peter replied. 

"I'm uncertain about parting ways." 

"God, you're like an old woman." 

"Because I'm wise?" Quill looked at him annoyed. 

"Why do you have so much luggage?" Gamora asked the tall and muscular, yet not very bright man. 

"I don't want Groot playing with my things." Drax complained to the green assassin. 

Peter stood and faced Rocket. Rocket stopped what he was doing and faced him. "I hope Daddy isn't as big of a dick as you, orphan boy." 

Peter scoffed, "What is your goal here? To get everybody to hate you? Because it's working." He said before he walked off with the others towards Ego's ship. With Rocket, Groot and Nebula staying on the ship and Peter, Gamora, (Y/N) and Drax going with Ego and Mantis, they flew into space and headed towards Ego's planet.
