"Showtime a-holes." The infamous and famous Peter Quill (AKA Starlord) said to his fellow guardians. "It will be here any minute."

"Which will be it's loss." Gamora said as she cocked her gun.

"I thought your thing was a sword?" Peter questioned.

"We've been hired to stop an interdimensional beast from feeding on those batteries and I'm gonna stop it with a sword?" Gamora asked as she looked at him confused.

"It's just swords were your thing and guns were mine. But I guess we're both doing guns now. I just didn't know that."

"Drax." Gamora turned her attention on the muscular, yet not very bright man. "Why aren't you wearing one of Rocket's aero-rigs?"

"It hurts." Drax answered.

"It hurts?"

"...I have sensitive nipples."

Rocket burst out laughing which interrupted their conversation. "My nipples hurt, oh goodness me!" He mocked.

"What about him?! What's he doing?" Drax asked angrily.

"I'm finishing this so we can listen to tunes while we work." Rocket explained.

"How is that a priority?"

"Blame Quill! He's the one who loves music so much."

"I actually agree with Drax on this one, that's hardly important right now." Quill said.

"Oh, okay. Sure Quill." Rocket 'agreed' as he winked.

"No, seriously. I side with Drax."

"No, I understand that. You're being very serious right now." Rocket said as he continued to wink.

"I can clearly see you winking!" Drax exclaimed.

"Damn it. I'm using my left eye?"

(Y/N) landed in between them, which caused a small breeze from the movement of her wings. "Yep, you were. And by the way, all the citizens have been cleared away."

"Thanks (Y/N)." Peter noted.

Groot, not as big as before (more like a baby), then shouted as he chased and punched two rat-like aliens. He stopped and stood next to Rocket. "I am Groot!" 

"They were not looking at you funny!" Rocket said. Then an explosion ripped through the air and all the guardians looked up to see a large alien that looked like an octopus. "Well, that's intense." Rocket said. The beast landed in the centre of them all. Drax screamed and ran towards it while Quill, Gamora and Rocket used their aero-rigs to fly and (Y/N) used her wings. Drax used his knifes and tried to stab the monster while the others released bullets as they rapidly blasted their guns.

Groot stood by the speakers Rocket had previously been working on. He held two cords and tried to connect them together. He had some trouble but eventually got them together and dropped them when he heard the music start to play.

Groot danced as the music played. The others continued fighting the monster while Groot was completely oblivious. Peter was thrown over him and landed on his stomach. He stood up and stared at the tiny tree. "Groot-" he said before he was knocked off his feet by the creature. Groot kept dancing and didn't even notice Drax as he was smacked on the ground by one of the beast's tentacles. He walked as he danced and saw Gamora. 

"Groot, get out of the way! You're gonna get hurt!" She said. Groot just waved. "Hi." Gamora replied with a smile before she flew up and continued shooting. Groot ran a little as he danced but stopped just in time when Drax fell next to him and looked at him. He stayed still for a second before Drax got up again. 

He kept running around but not looking where he was going, he fell off the side of the platform they were on. He yelled for a second before he was caught by (Y/N). "Groot! You gotta watch out, okay?" She said as she set him back down where he was. She rubbed his head then flapped her wings and went back into battle. 

Groot danced again then caught sight of a bug. He chased it then got ahold of it. He began to eat it before Rocket landed next to him. "No! No! Spit it out! Come on!" He gave a small hit to the back of Groot's head to make him release the bug. "Disgusting!" He said as he flew back to the monster. Groot saw another small rat-like alien creature. He held onto it's head with his roots and rode it before he was knocked off. He stood up and brushed himself off then immediately continued dancing.

Groot's dancing was stopped by Drax as he was thrown onto the speaker. The music stopped and Groot hit him as he yelled. Drax just stood up and said, "the beast's hide is too thick to be pierced from the outside. I must cut through from the inside."

"Huh?" Gamora asked as Drax laughed like a maniac. "No, no! Drax, wait a minute! Drax!" She yelled. Drax ran towards the creature and jumped into it's mouth. The alien's mouth clamped down shut. Peter took his mask off as he landed next to Gamora. 

"What is he doing?!" He asked.

"He said the skin is too thick to be pierced from the outside, so he-"

"That doesn't make any sense!"

"I tried telling him that!"

"Skin is the same level of thickness from the inside as from the outside!"

"I realise that!"

Meanwhile, Drax was using his knives to try and rip the alien's skin open.

"There's a cut on it's neck." Peter noted. "Rocket! (Y/N)! Get it to look up!" He yelled to the two in the air. He put his mask back on. He went back into the air as he yelled, "hey, you giant Sea-Monkey! Up here!"

The three of them hovered above the alien.  "Watch it, Quill!" Rocket yelled when Quill accidentally bumped into him. Then the alien released a rainbow substance from it's mouth which made Rocket's gun catch fire. He screamed as he pet his gun to try and put the fire out. The monster kept trying to catch them in it's mouth. Gamora aimed her gun at the cut on it's neck while it held Peter and (Y/N) in its tentacles and Rocket just continued yelling while his gun was still on fire as he also tried to shoot. Gamora pulled the trigger but it didn't work. She grunted in frustration and threw away the gun. She pulled out her sword and ran up to the creature. She stuck her sword in the cut and pulled it all the way down as she fell. The cut spread all the way down the being's chest then stomach. Gamora landed on the floor and the monster fell.

They heard grunting and watched as Drax got out of the monster through the cut Gamora had created. He fell out and slid on the floor, covered in slime and mucus. He laughed and said, "yes! I have single handedly vanquished the beast!" His laughing stopped when Groot threw a pebble at his head. "What?"

Sorry I've been taking a long time to update. My dog, Curlie, recently passed away. Not saying that's an excuse but you guys need a reason for me not updating. But I'm glad the chapter's up, sorry for keeping you waiting.
