The little girl has big almond shaped hazel eyes, and beautiful brown skin, but it was hard to notice her beauty because of her tear stained cheeks, and bloodshot eyes. I wipe sweat off my brow, it is noon and I really would love to be somewhere it isn't as hot. Lindon takes a deep breath, "Please get on the monorail, buckle up and wait for further instructions." Ryker whispers in my ear as we walk up the stairs to the monorail, "That little girl looks a lot like you." I look at him, "You think I didn't notice?" Syd on the other side of me, stares at the little girl trailing behind us. I look behind me, noticing her all white jumpsuit and the name tag: X. 113025

   We sit down on the monorail, buckling up. Axe questions, "Anyone else concerned that we didn't notice a MONORAIL in our hunting territory?" Lindon sits down, with "X" next to her. Nova looks down, quiet, which is definitely not something she would usually do. The eerie silence paired with the haunting flickering of the lights, doesn't help the situation, either. We just stare at each other. I decide to shift my gaze from Axe to my surroundings.  The whole place is white. White seats, white seat buckles, white floor, it is almost blinding. I look out the window, trying to occupy myself, only to see a blur of green, brown, and blue.  I sigh resting my head back  on Ryker's shoulder, and closing my eyes.

    I wake up, being shaken, and groan, "Five more forevers" I mutter. Ryker's hearty chuckle causes me to open my eyes, as he stands in front of me. I rub my eyes, unbuckling myself from the seat, slowly nut surely standing up and following the group. Weirdly the monorail's route was to this huge white room, the ceilings taller than I have ever seen and the only furniture a small stool that was positioned exactly in the middle of the room, which is also white. Of course. Lindon smiles, "Welcome to R.E.M Trials. On the wall behind you all, is eleven white jumpsuits, put them on. Your trials will begin, shortly." We all furrow our eyebrows, I thought we were supposed to be going to war. Lindon smiles creepily before walking to a seemingly invisible door as the only thing that shows that it is a door is a metal knob and its white exterior, opening it, and walking into a room, closing the door again. We all look at each other, Zeus saying, "I think we shouldn't do it! Something about this is sketchy!" Axe chuckles putting on the jumpsuit, "Last time you said that was when we were out hunting!" Zeus rolls his eyes, before hesitantly putting on a suit. Nova already in her suit, says, "Uh...it is a little bag-" It takes only a split second before the suit somehow looses air and is a perfect fit. Nova nods, "Okay." Once all in our suits, black numbers project on the wall, counting down.

  A bright light rushes toward me, as I bring my hands up trying to shield my eyes from the blinding light. I close them, using the rest of my strength to keep myself in place. It isn't long before I crack my eyes open, seeing the sun. I look around, "Hello?" I hear a scream and start running toward it. Somehow I am in the forest, running. Weird. I catch a small glimpse of black curly hair, making me run faster. I start breathing heavy, as the sun blares down on me. Suddenly, I spot a woman, who is laughing as she runs after the little girl. I spot another little girl identical to the other, black curly locks, except darker brown eyes and dark brown skin. I follow them, half curious, and also half scared to see how this will end. It isn't long before I loose sight of them, so I just walk in the direction I saw them go. I furrow my eyebrows, smelling smoke. I am in the forest, yet I smell smoke. Clouds cover the sun, and I look up at the sky, steppling over a branch. The forest stops abruptly, and what I see next shocks me. Ruins. Everywhere. Ashes. I hear a sniffle and look to my left, where I see the woman from before, standing in front of three graves. I, confused, say, "Excuse me?" The woman looks at me, but doesn't say a word.
