Villain
"I don't speak to villains."
Midoriya Izuku froze solid. He looked at Eri questioningly, "Villains?"
"You," The girl replied before walking away.
"Me? Wait, what—"
Eri was already gone. Izuku stared at where she was, wondering where she could have gone. He frowned, in this world, who is she? But most importantly, who is he? Who is the Midoriya Izuku of this world? And what has he done?
Izuku dreaded the answer. He didn't want to be this world's Izuku, he didn't want to be
A villain.
"The exams will be held tomorrow!" Nedzu announced, "Midoriya, All For One, Toshinori and I will be proctoring as you guys will be getting tagged."
"I have no idea why I agreed to this," Aizawa groaned.
Maybe because it's your job? Izuku looked nervously around the room. He knew who all of them were. There was Snipe, Eraserhead, Present Mic, Midnight, and even Vlad King. However, none of them knew who he was (Perhaps Present Mic) other than 'that kid from the hero course/the kid that happens to be a hero with the quirk that matches a villain's from an alternate dimension'.
"I can't wait to have new heroes!" Midnight exclaimed.
Then something dawned on Izuku, "How will they get their license?" He asked. It was a genuine question. "Didn't the government completely erase heroes from society? Technically," Izuku looked over at All For One, "Doesn't All for One operate as a cop?"
Nedzu merely grinned, "A very good question. We're working towards a new era of heroes. These heroes will have cop training as a side to heroing. Therefore, they will technically have cop license."
"So they will have the license to operate as a cop but won't?" Is that even legal? Hell, are using quirks here legal? They were legal back in my world as long as it was proven for self-defense...
"Precisely. Like vigilantes, but not really."
That just made Izuku even more confused, but he didn't question. "What if they get injured?" He took a quick glance around the room, Recovery Girl isn't here.
Nedzu replied, "Then they can take all the time needed to recover."
"The support classes?"
"Taken care of."
Izuku found himself unable to ask any more questions. Nedzu really had taken care of everything. The exam, the support items, the license... What else could he ask for? "Are there therapists on campus? Just in case something happens-" Izuku was quite sure another USJ wouldn't happen since he doesn't think there is a USJ, but he doesn't want to take any chances.
Nedzu hummed and sipped tea. "We can get that arranged."
"Any more questions, anyone?" Nedzu said.
When everyone replied negatively Nedzu continued, "Well then, I hope to see you all here tomorrow. Then, a few days after that, the hero course will begin."

'The hero course will begin.' Izuku walked to lunch alongside Kacchan, I have to find a way to hide it from Hisashi. It's possible that I can disguise it as a first-aid course, and make up some excellent excuse of being a field medic.
"Izuku," Kacchan spoke, "What's been going on with you lately? You're jumpy, you're distracted. Is the hero course that hard?"
Izuku waited a few moments to gather his thoughts before replying, "It isn't just the hero course." A prickling sensation made the hair on his neck rise. Someone's watching me again. Is it Mineta? "School, in general, has been pretty busy."
Kacchan seemed to take that answer, "About the hero course, when are they adding new students?"
"There's going to be an entrance exam of sorts," Izuku replied, "I can't tell you when though. Just be prepared."
Kacchan merely sighed, "How do they think we're going to do this without quirks?"
"I mean, you don't need a quirk to be a hero," Izuku said, "There are regular heroes every day, it's just that no one notices. Of course, no one is a big hero anymore since there's too much risk, but anyone can be a hero. Quirk or not."
"I guess so," Kacchan said, "It's just that, every hero had a quirk before the Reformation."
"And?" Izuku asked, "This is after the Reformation. Things have changed. A hero takes a lot of work but most of all, it's just helping. If you want to be a hero, you have to be willing to take the risks. Quirk or not, I still believe everyone can be a hero."
Kacchan stayed silent at that.
Izuku merely looked away, "If you want to be a hero, go ahead. Quirk or not, you can be a hero."

Izuku found himself in the park again. He wasn't being stalked this time, which was a good thing. This time, he met Tokoyami again. "Hi, Tokoyami," Izuku greeted him, "How have you been?"
"I've been fine," Tokoyami replied, "You?"
Izuku shrugged, "As best as I can be. So, what have you been up to lately? I haven't really been paying attention at lunch, sorry."
Tokoyami said, "We've noticed. We concluded you were very busy, and it turns out we were right. I've been settling in... You know..."
"Oh yeah," Izuku said, "Did they correctly guess who it was?"
Tokoyami shook his head, "I don't think anyone noticed. Dare to take a guess?"
Izuku hummed as he thought for a few seconds, "How many tries do I have?"
"Three."
"Hints?"
"No one noticed them yet. But they're in a faculty."
"Luckily for you, I happen to know many faculty members," Izuku said, "It's not Yamada-sensei... And by extension, Aizawa..."
"Who's Aizawa?" Tokoyami asked.
Izuku smiled at that, In my world, everyone knows who Aizawa is now... "Since you asked me that question, I'm assuming he's not your guardian. Is your guardian a former hero?"
Tokoyami tilted his head in thought, "I don't think so."
"Okay... How many hints or questions do I have left?"
"One."
Izuku was pretty confident about this question, "What's the color of their hair?"
"Blonde."
Is it... Yagi Toshinori?? Izuku asked, "Is it Yagi-san?"
Tokoyami looked taken aback, "How did you guess?"
Izuku shrugged, "Lucky one, I guess."
Tokoyami somehow didn't believe that. "But you narrowed it down so easily!"
"I happen to know the faculty well," It was both a lie and a truth. Izuku —even though he was keeping a calm composure— was still coming to terms with the fact that this wasn't his world, nor his people. He knows the faculty well from his universe, but from this one? He barely knows a spec. "Or so I think."
"Why do you know the faculty?"
Izuku shrugged, putting his hands in his pockets nonchalantly. It was a habit that his Kacchan had developed after reigning in his quirk. Due to the main focus of it being in his hands, he would put his hands in his pockets as a sort of way of saying that he felt safe with them. Izuku had found it endearing. "My family had some business to clear up with the school." That also wasn't a lie, considering the fact that Hisashi has major beef with the fact that they had placed him in a hero class.
Something Izuku wasn't willing to leave behind. (Something Deku wasn't willing to leave behind—)
Tokoyami seemed to have accepted the answer, "Did you get the problems resolved?"
Izuku gave a half-hearted smile, "It's a work in progress."
"I see," Tokoyami stayed silent after that. They went into an awkward, yet welcome silence. The silence felt familiar to Izuku, it felt like home, but he knew this wasn't home.
So he broke it, "How are you adapting to the new change in routine?"
"Didn't you already ask this question?"
"Well technically, I implied it, which isn't the same as asking."
"Isn't that the same thing?"
"Plus I asked how you were doing, not how you were changing."
"And that differs how?"
~~~
Izuku sighed as he once again walked into school. Going home yesterday had been stressful and he was dying to get out of the house again. He didn't exactly appreciate getting hounded by Hisashi every time he breaths for not dropping out of the hero course.
None of Izuku's excuses were working anymore, and Hisashi was already taking absurd measures. It made Izuku wonder about his safety in this world, and for good reason.
Simply put, Hisashi had connections. And of course, Izuku has them too, but not as strong as Hisashi's. From all the research Izuku acquired, he's next in line to inherit One For All and become a mastermind villain that will break society like this All Might did.
Izuku didn't want that. Not for this world, not for him. Izuku, however, was exhausted in this situation. He groaned, "God, I just want to go home."
And he really did. Izuku felt a heart-wrenching homesickness that made him such a variety of emotions in a short time that it made him sick. On Monday, he would wake up feeling guilty and by the end of the afternoon, he'd be jumpy and paranoid. On Tuesday, he'd wake up happy and then be crushed by the end of the day.
The cycle kept continuing too, there was no end in sight for Izuku.
"Didn't you just come from home?" Kacchan asked.
Izuku replied, "No. No, I didn't." As cheesy as it may sound, home is where the heart is. Izuku's heart was definitely nowhere near Hisashi. It was torn between his actual home and the new web of friends here.
Izuku just really, really, really misses how simple his life was. Nothing is ever simple now if you're dealing with duplicates of your almost-family.
"Not home for you then?" Kacchan then muttered, "Well, I wonder when that changed."
That had Izuku wondering when it did. When did Hisashi become so tired of his behavior? Was Izuku missing all the signs this whole time?
"Yo," Kaminari greeted. "So how are you guys?"
"I'm fine," Izuku yawned, "Just tired." He had been up late at night researching, and when he finally tried to sleep, he got woken up by his night terrors. So it wasn't a very sleep-productive night.
"We can see that."
And yes, they can. Izuku hasn't really been taking care of himself, which is ironic considering the upmost care his quirk requires. He's been spreading himself to thin on barely any hours of sleep. There are bags under his eyes that could probably speak that he needed a life sentence of just sleeping. If any of his actual friends knew of this, they'd probably let him sleep for days.
(But they're not here, Izuku.) That particular fact only made things worse.
Izuku just sighed yet again and mentally prepared himself for the school day.
"You're a villain." Eri accused Izuku.
Izuku merely yawned, "I thought you didn't speak to villains."
Eri seemingly forgot her stubbornness for a moment and pouted, "Well there's nothing else to do."
"Where are your parents? What is your name?"
"I'm Eri. My parents are like me."
"Like you?" Izuku questioned.
"You don't remember?"
Izuku had a very bad feeling in his gut, "Don't remember what?"
"You murdered us."
