Searching

Izuku woke up with a sigh. Upon waking up he immediately dreaded the day before him, everything had gotten more complicated. There were people that he remembered that would pose trouble, or not, it depends. He's glad that Azuku's getting along with his friends, at least that's one less thing to worry about.

But now there's the constant reminder that he needs to worry about the hero course, the villains, preparing the students, getting more students into the hero course, staying clear of Hisashi and All Might, and finally, somehow trying to find a way to his universe. It was pretty clear that Izuku was stressed, nonetheless, he had to get up and face the day.

So that's what he did.

Izuku walked into the kitchen after brushing his teeth and greeted both of his senseis, "Mornin', Yamada, Aizawa."

Yamada grinned at him, "You don't have to use our last names, little listener. Wake up Azuku, would you?"

Izuku's heart clenched painfully, 'Little listener...' His homesickness had only increased ten fold in the past few days. Izuku sucked it up and smiled tensely, "Okay!" He went to his room again, and by extension, Azuku's. Cautiously, he walked up to Azuku's bed and shook him lightly. Something Izuku learned in the past few days was that Azuku was very jumpy. He was an abnormally light sleeper, much like Izuku himself. But what unnevered Izuku was that it came from constant fighting, a lot like his. There was always a chance that you were going to end up in a villain's hideout, or drugged as a hero.

In this universe there were no heroes, yet so many villains. Izuku knows that Azuku was one of them, that's why he's so offput by Azuku's presence. "Azuku."

As expected, Azuku sprung up immediately, which had Izuku moving towards the door with 1% of OFA. Azuku's ridiculously skilled, Izuku doesn't feel like fighting someone who's half asleep this morning. "Calm down, Azu," Izuku yawned, looking back at his doppelganger, "Yamada said to wake up. We might not have school today, but you can't spend all day lazing in bed." Ironically, that's all Izuku wanted to do today. He wanted to wrap himself in a blanket burrito and forget about everything. Everything. He just wanted one peaceful day, way that too much to ask?

Azuku blinked, seemingly fully awake now. He looked towards Izuku, "Ah, okay. Sorry."

"No need to apologize." Izuku left the room.

~~~
After a 2 hour long debate, Izuku was finally allowed to leave the house. Everyone was tense due to the fact that All Might might just spring up and go hello happy havoc on everyone. That was okay, Izuku understood, but they also needed to relax, and he had stuff to do. He couldn't just stay holed up in his room all day. So with a lot of convincing, he was allowed to leave, but only if he had Katsuki with him.
Thus this situation. "That kid... you never had siblings, Deku."
Izuku sighed. Which ever Katsuki it is, from whatever world, you really can't hide anything from him. "Would it help if I said I'm Azuku and he's Izuku?"
Katsuki just stared at Izuku, "What the f*ck are you going on about?"
Izuku's green eyes clashes with ruby ones, "I'm just tired, Kacchan, okay? I promise I'll tell all of this to you later, but right now, right now we have stuff to do, and people to find." Izuku wanted to be productive today, he had a whole list of people he wanted to have a conversation with. That list included Eri, Chisaki, Shoji, Shinsou, Asui, Mineta, and Kirishima. Which, was clearly a lot. Plus the fact that Izuku had no other way to find them. All he knew was that Asui had a flower shop, and the fact that Eri's in a graveyard, but other than that, nothing.
"You never explained what we were going to do today, Deku," Katsuki replied, "Who the f*ck do you need to find?"
Izuku merely smiled, "I'd call them friends but we aren't quite there yet."
"Your friends better not be f*cking drugdealers or some sh*t."
"Why...?" Izuku just sighed and brushed it off as they arrived at a flower shop. "We're at our first destination."
"A sh*tty flower shop? The f*ck?"
"Kacchan, they're not 'sh*tty,'" Izuku said, "Let's enter. Maybe we can find some flowers you like."
"Flowers?" Katsuki rolled his eyes, "In your f*cking dreams."
"I assure you my dreams aren't about flowers," Izuku walked through the door that had a bell. Ding. Resounded through the area, attracting some unwanted attention. "Kacchan-"
"Fine," The marshmellow marched through the door.
Izuku immediately went to a specific aisle, "Hey Kacchan, you think lilies look nice?"
"Dipsh*t, why are you buying lilies?"
Izuku smiled, "Pretty, aren't they?" He then found a familiar face, "Asui-san?"
"Midoriya-kun!" Asui -aka, Tsuyu- said.
Izuku remembers how weird it was for him to meet this Asui, this Asui was full of life, in a way that Izuku hadn't seen. She had facial expressions, smiled a lot, and it was very new to Izuku. And hard to get used to, in a way. "How are you, Asui-san? And you can call me, Izuku!" Izuku smiled, "This is my best friend, Bakugo Katsuki, or as I call him, Kacchan!"
"You have no permission to call me Kacchan," Katsuki immediately said.
Asui merely smiled, "Noted, Bakugo-san. And you guys can call me Tsuyu, if you want."
"Nice to see you again, Tsuyu," Izuku said, "I was trying to find you to talk to you, but then I realized that I didn't ask for any contact information-"
That had the trio exchanging phone numbers. After that, Tsuyu asked, "What did you want to talk to me about?"
"Ah well," Izuku said, "I was wondering your stance on heroes, quirks and such."
Tsuyu raised a brow, "Well, I think they're okay. Heroes could really help. Especially around here." Tsuyu fixed one of the flowers on the shelf, "All For One is only one person. And even then he only focuses on All Might. People need to remember that the common muggings, kidnappings and stuff exist too. We have a fair share of vigilantes around here just because of that."
That caught Izuku's attention, "Vigilantes?"
Tsuyu stared at him, "You're not from around here? Do you live in nothern Musutafu?"
Izuku sheepishly nodded, "Yeah."
"Well, there's a trio of vigilantes around here, Siren, Vulcan and Bellona," Tsuyu replied, "They help out a lot."
"Woah."
"Do you ever think of helping out too?" Katsuki asked.
Tsuyu looked surprised at the question, "At times, but it's illegal-"
"What if it weren't?" Izuku asked, "Tsuyu, what school do you go to?"
"You're talking about the hero course?" Tsuyu asked. "I'd like to join but, I don't have a quirk."
Katsuki grinned, "You don't need a f*cking quirk to be a bad*ss."
Tsuyu smiled, "I'd like to join then."
~~~

"We're not f*cking done yet? That took like, a f*cking hour, Deku."

"That means we have twenty-three hours left," Izuku gave Katsuki a sh*t-eating grin, "Get ready because this is going to take the whole day." Izuku had bought flowers at the flowershop too, he was in a pretty good mood, all considered.

"It took us two hours just to get to the flower shop."

"Twenty-one hours then."

"You little sh*t," Katsuki growled, "You're paying for the goddamn food."

"I thought that was obvious?" Izuku feigned confusion.

"F*ck your alturism."

"Dang, Kacchan, didn't know you despised me that much," Izuku rolled his eyes, "Anyway, we'll go eat now."

"Micky D's?"

"The hell? No, I have a physique to keep up, thanks."

Katsuki lightly smacked him atop of the head, a gesture similar to his mother's, "Should've told me you were on a diet, f*ckmunch."

Izuku felt his heart swell at that. Here, Mitsuki was dead. It was nearly impossible to tell if she was one of Azuku's victims, but he really hoped not. "I'm not on a diet, I just like eating healthy, unlike a certain Bakugo."

"Say that again, dipsh*t?"

"Newayz," Izuku deflected, "Should we visit that cafe, Opal or...?"

"Why the f*ck is a cafe named after a rock?"

"Did you forget your science? It's a gem, Kacchan."

"Same f*cking thing."

They bickered while they entered the cafe until a waiter came to take their order. Izuku looked up, and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was Shinsou. "Oh, Shinsou!"

"You know this b*tch?" Katsuki stared at Izuku in surprise.

Shinsou tiredly glared at Katsuki while asking, "May I take your order, Midoriya?"

Izuku brightened up, "I've been trying to find you everywhere! Did your scrapes heal?"

Shinsou let out a small smile at that, "yes, they healed perfectly, thanks, Midoriya."

"Deku, order your damn food!" Katsuki scolded in a way similar to Mitsuki.

He really did take a lot of things after her... "Oh right! Sorry," Izuku smiled nervously, "Can I get a strawberry crepe along with a vanilla Frappuccino?"

Shinsou nodded, writing that down, "You?" He pointed the pen at Katsuki.

"Blueberry pancakes and water," Katsuki said.

"On it."

"Also Shinsou! Can I have your phone number? I want to talk to you about something later!"

"Sure," Shinsou said. He quickly scribbled his phone number on a piece of paper and handed it to Izuku. "Your order will be ready in approximately ten minutes."

"Thanks!" Izuku chirped as Shinsou walked away.

Katsuki rested his head on his hand, "Is that all the people you had to meet today?"

"Kacchan, that's only two."

"Please don't tell me there's f*cking more."

"I have 7 people to find today," Izuku smiled innocently, "After all, it was you who wanted to come, right?"

"You f*cking sadist."

"I learn from the best."

~~~
In a certain building, a rat-like person sneezed. Nedzu rubbed his nose and looked out the window, "It better not be Midoriya talking about me again."
~~~

Izuku left the cafe with a smile, Katsuki right behind him. "Wasn't their food so yummy?"

"You're on a f*cking diet but you ate so many sweets?" Katsuki replied, "Choose something."

"I'm allowed a cheat day."

"What do you have against Micky D's?"

"Their french fries are cut horribly," Izuku replied, "Anyway, you met Tsuyu and Shinsou..."

"Why are you searching up cemeteries?"

"You believe in ghosts, Kacchan?"

"What the fuck."

~~~
"Eri, Eri, Eri, Eri..." Izuku muttered as he walked through the cemetery, Katsuki close behind him. "Here you are." Izuku crouched in front of her headstone, placing the lilies down gently. "I know you don't like me, Eri, but I found who you wanted me to. Or I think I did."
Izuku took a deep breath, "I need your help, Eri. This is probably to much to ask, but could you meet me at the park later?"
Katsuki stared on, confused. He didn't get why Izuku was asking all of these things, or saying them either.
Izuku sighed and got up, he then smiled at Katsuki. He handed a yellow flower to his best friend, and took one himself, "Want to take a quick visit to Mitsuki?"
Katsuki's mouth felt dry as he stared at Izuku, "Y-yeah."
Izuku's eyes softened, "Let's go then."
It was actually Mitsuki's birthday, although this wasn't in Izuku's original plans, he couldn't just drag Katsuki around without giving him time to grieve. Izuku just wasn't that type of friend.
Katsuki placed the yellow rose on Mitsuki grave, "Well, uh, surely, you remember Deku, right, hag?"
Izuku took a sharp inhale as Katsuki continued talking.
"Well, even if he isn't a one-man team, he certainly changed a lot by himself..."
~~~

Izuku looked towards the sky, the sun was going to set soon. "Kacchan, we have to go."

It was only now that Katsuki noticed the hour, "Oh, sorry, Deku."

Izuku shrugged, "It's fine, you had a lot to say. We'll visit more often, Aunt Mitsuki."

"Yeah," Katsuki walked towards Izuku. He muttered a small 'bye Mom'.

As they walked out of the cemetery, Izuku asked, "Why don't you visit her more often? You have a lot to say."

Katsuki shrugged as he put his hands in his pockets, similar to Izuku's Katsuki, which made Izuku's heart squeeze in a way that he hadn't intended. Katsuki had a small smile on his face, "There just hasn't been enough time."

"Then we'll make time," Izuku promised, "We can't forget about her."

"Thanks, Deku."

~~~
Izuku dropped Katsuki off at his house and continued to Yamada's place. Today was certainly not what he had expected, but it was productive. He had gotten Tsuyu and Shinsou's phone numbers, and he decided the was enough.
He'll do more tomorrow anyway.
Yeah, tomorrow.
