"Midoriya Izuku?" Toshinori Yagi questioned, "He's a timid one."
"You know him?" Nedzu asked.
"I ran into him in the hallway," Toshinori replied.
"He's a very interesting specimen," All For One said.
"He isn't your specimen, he is a child," Aizawa Shouta joined the conversation. "Nonetheless, is it really safe to have him here?" Aizawa sent a pointed look in the direction of Toshinori Yagi. "Who is he?"
"I'm Yagi Toshinori," Toshinori said.
Aizawa's eyes narrowed. Nedzu sipped his tea, "You might as well start explaining, All For One. What is your plan with this child?"
"I want this child to become my successor," All For One said.
Toshinori Yagi looked shocked.
"That's insane," Aizawa said, "You're the Symbol of Peace."
Toshinori Yagi looked at All For One skeptically. All For One sighed before explaining the situation, "I'm sure you all recall the strange arrival of Yagi."
Nedzu smiled, "Hard not to. The whole 'I'm All Might, a hero, in a different universe' thing is hard to forget."
"Midoriya Izuku, I don't think he's from here," All For One stated.
That caught Nedzu's attention. Nedzu's eyes sparkled with interest, "Oh? What made you come to that conclusion?"
"He has a copy of One for All," All For One said. He glanced at Toshinori Yagi, "Do you recall giving One For All to a child?"
"You mean that Izuku Midoriya is here?"

Izuku was having a rather normal day until he had to fetch eggs at 8 PM for some strange reason. Why did his dad ask him to do this again? Nonetheless, Izuku didn't complain, he went with no complaints.
"Ah, Dark Shadow, please, don't."
Izuku paused. What happened to Tokoyami? "Hey, are you okay?"
"Huh? Y-yeah," Tokoyami muttered something that sounded suspiciously like 'Dark Shadow, go away'. "Who are you?"
"Oh, I'm Midoriya Izuku. What are you doing at the park at this hour? It's really late."
"O-oh, I just had trouble with something."
"Do you need help with it?" Izuku asked, "I'm happy to help."
"N-no, no, it's fine," Tokoyami said. Then, his stomach grumbled.
"Are you hungry? You should go back home." At seeing Tokoyami's crestfallen expression Izuku immediately retracted his statement. "I mean, you can also come to my house to eat! I'm sure my dad wouldn't mind."
Tokoyami tilted his head, clearly confused, "Isn't taking random strangers to your house dangerous?"
"Don't worry!" Midoriya chirped, "I can protect myself and my dad. So what's your name?"
"I'm Tokoyami Fumikage," Tokoyami said.
"So would you like to come to my house?"
"Uh, sure..."
"But first we need to buy eggs," Midoriya said, "Come with me. I don't want to leave you alone when it's so dark. Don't you know it's dangerous out here?"
Tokoyami was amused. But then he frowned (Or Midoriya thought it was a frown. How do you read a bird's expressions?) "Do you think they'd let me in the store?"
"They better. I mean yeah! They will," Midoriya smiled lightly, "Come on, it's just eggs, Tokoyami."
"Okay, let's go."
The walk to the store was quiet. The cashier really didn't care about Tokoyami's strange appearance. Just when Midoriya and Tokoyami were checking out the eggs-
"Put your hands up!"
"Nobody move!"
Tokoyami froze solid, putting his hands up. He was surprised when he saw Midoriya not do the same. Midoriya stared at the attackers, "Hey, can't we j-just, talk this out?"
Tokoyami couldn't believe Midoriya was that naïve. The robber and his buddy laughed. "And if we don't want to talk? What'cha gonna do, little boy?"
Tokoyami probably won't tell because he has his own quirk. All For One already knows, and so does this world's, All Might. The people here wouldn't remember me if I do it too fast for them to see— "You're talking now, anyway," In a burst of green lightning, the robbers were quickly taken out. Midoriya appeared next to Tokoyami once again.
"Wait- huh? What???" Tokoyami glanced at Midoriya, "That was-"
Midoriya held up an index finger to his lips, signaling Tokoyami not to tell. He turned to the cashier, "We paid for the eggs already, right?"
The cashier didn't notice that anything even happened. He had his earbuds on the whole time. He took off one of his earbuds, "Huh? Yeah."
"Okay, thank you!" Izuku chirped as he carefully grabbed the egg carton. "Let's go, Tokoyami."
Tokoyami kept staring at Midoriya in amazement for the rest of the way. "Do you have a-"
"I'll answer all your questions if you answer one of mine."
"Okay."
"Why don't you want to go home?" Midoriya asked.
"There's nothing to return to... They kicked me out."
"Ah, that's concerning," Midoriya said. "So you had a question-"
"What's your quirk?" Tokoyami was intrigued.
"It's a simple strength enhancer, but it's strong," Midoriya replied. "Any more questions?"
"Why were you hiding the fact that you had a quirk?"
"I wasn't hiding it, you just never asked. Plus, with everyone and what we get taught in school, people don't react well to quirks," Izuku said, "But quirks are cool, I like them."
Midoriya stopped walking, startling Tokoyami a bit. "We're here." Knocking on the door, Tokoyami hid behind Midoriya. The door opened. "Hey, Dad. I brought a friend."
"At this hour, Izuku? Is it someone you met in the park again?" His dad let both of them walk in.
"Yep. Dad, this is Tokoyami Fumikage. Tokoyami, this is Midoriya Hisashi."
"Nice to meet you, Midoriya-san," Tokoyami respectfully bowed, "Sorry for imposing."
"Oh, it's no problem. Any friend of my son is a friend of the family," Hisashi replied. "What is your quirk, Tokoyami-kun?"
"D-Dark Shadow," Tokoyami muttered.
"I can't hear you," Izuku said. "Tokoyami, come sit next to me! I have so many questions about your quirk."
~~~
"Tokoyami doesn't have a home, can he stay here for the night?" Izuku boldly asked.
"Izuku, how do you find these people?" Hisashi asked. His dad smiled before saying, "Yes, of course. Tokoyami-kun, do you go to school?"
"Y-yeah," Tokoyami replied, "I go to UA."
"What a coincidence, Izuku does too."
"Tokoyami, do you want to take a shower?" Izuku asked, "It's open. I'll be in my room."
Izuku went to his room, and Tokoyami followed him. Izuku said, "Sorry, it's not very spacious in here. We never needed much room in the house, it was only Dad and me." Izuku got a sleeping bag from the closet, "Do you want to sleep on the bed or the sleeping bag?"
"The bag, please. I cannot possibly take the bed from you after you've helped me so much," Tokoyami replied.
"It's no biggie. I just like helping. Are you sure?"
"Y-yeah, it's fine."
"If you say so," Izuku said. "So, Dark Shadow doesn't react well in the nighttime, right? I'll leave a nightlight on."
"You have nightlights?" Tokoyami glanced around the room, "where?"
"I've always had nightlights, the night is scary, you know?" Izuku went rummaging through his cabinets until he found two nightlights. "Here they are." He plugged them in and activated them. "Sleep well, Tokoyami."
Tokoyami did.
~~~
You can't blame Izuku for not sleeping well that night. Being in a room with Dark Shadow, something Izuku knew could break out and wreak havoc, he didn't exactly sleep much. Izuku woke up very early. "Good morning, Dad."
"Izuku, we need to have a talk."
Izuku was nervous as he replied, "Okay."
"Where do you keep finding these people?" Hisashi asked, "Is it actually at the park? And why, why do you insist on helping? You know that Tokoyami can't stay here for long. I can barely pay for the both of us."
"Sorry for putting the strain on you," Izuku said, "And yes, at the park. I just like the nature there... But then when I see someone in whatever trouble, I can't just not help. Sorry, Dad. I'll try to tone it down a bit."
Hisashi managed a tired smile, "Yes, please Izuku, that's all I ask."
Izuku then got ready for school, and so did Tokoyami. Izuku dragged Tokoyami out the door, and they were both walking towards the train station.
"Thank you, Midoriya," Tokoyami said.
Izuku replied, "It's no problem. Where are you going to sleep tomorrow? You were kicked out, right? I think we should talk to the teachers about this."
"But... Would they even care?"
I'm not one to usually trust All For One but... "I know one or three who definitely will." Izuku smiled at Tokoyami, "Don't worry about it. We'll get this mess resolved."
Tokoyami didn't know why that smile made him feel so safe.

Midoriya Izuku was nervous. Like always, but this time, it was different. He was called to the Principal's office during Present Mic's class, and he was pretty skeptical as to why. He hadn't done anything out of the ordinary. Due to rotating schedules, he had the hero course last today, and if he was called to the Principal's office this early, he dreaded it.
Is Nedzu even the Principal here? Midoriya knocked on the door. His question was soon answered as a familiar voice replied, "come in."
Walking into the room, Midoriya Izuku was unnerved. His nervousness twisted into some sense of alarm after seeing Toshinori Yagi, and All For One. "Um, hello."
"Hello, Midoriya Izuku!" Nedzu smiled, "Am I a mouse, a bear, a dog? No, I am the Principal of UA. I am Nedzu."
"I-it's a pleasure t-to meet you," Izuku stuttered out. "May I ask w-why I am h-here?"
"Oh well, All For One can explain."
Izuku glanced at All For One. All For One asked, "Do you know anything about the name 'Deku'?"
Midoriya froze solid.
That was his hero name.
