I watched as the sun slowly set under the horizon. It feels like forever since I stood on the balcony, when suddently I hear a voice from inside the apartement yell at me, breaking my train of thought. " What are you doing out in the balcony all by yourself! " the voice yelled. I recognised it immediately, it was the voice of my roomate and best friend Naomi Fox. " I was just watching the sunset " I replied. " well get back inside it's freezing out there. " she replied. " fine " I mumbled as i opened the glass door to enter the apartement.

As i opened the door, I looked aroud the apartement, it feels like forever since I was here, even though I had only been outside for 10 minutes. " You look cold Ray. " Naomi told me as she got a blanket from my room." I don't really care if i'm cold or not Naomi. " I told her as I made my way to the couch. as I sat on the puffy yellow and green pillows. Naomi came back a few seconds later with a cup of hot coco and a warm, red velvet blanket. I took the blanket and wrapped it around me and I layed back down on the couch.

I put the hot coco on the wooden coffee table beside the couch. As I layed on the couch I watched as Naomi left the living room and went to her room down the hallway. She came back a few minuted later in her pjs, she walked over to the kitchen and poured herself a cup of hot coco. She looked at my cup of hot coco that was still on the table. " you know, you should drink that, you still look cold. " Naomi told me, in a stern voice. She was used to being the boss in charge of everything and everyone.

Naomi sat beside me on a bean bag chair and turned on the tv. she zoomed past the channels looking for a show that suited her. she stopped to an episode of a show I didn't recognise. When I asked Naomi why we were watching a kids show, she acted like she didn't hear me. She kept her brown eyes fixed on the screen, unmoving.

" Naomi? Hello, earth to Naomi? " I asked. She slowly turned in the bean bag chair. she looked at me, she didn't look different, why would i expect her to in the first place? this isn't a movie where the main charcaters get kidnapped by aliens, and whatnot. when I asked her why we were watching a kid's show. she looked like she had no idea what was happening. " what do you mean Ray, we aren't watching a kid's show. " she replied, I looked back at the TV, which had an episode of stranger things on. " I could have sworn it was just on a kid's show, no joke! " I said. she chuckled. " maybe you're even colder then I though. you're probably just hallucinating. " she replied with a voice sweet as honey. something was wrong, as i looked around the room, I saw that the curtains were open and that it was the middle of the day, hadn't it just been sunset, and didn't Naomi just close them? I hadn't fallen asleep, I know I didn't. Something's wrong, and I don't know what.
