CHAPTER 7
After Effects and Unsettled Lovers

"Blake, wake up." I whispered softly into his ears causing him to slightly shudder.

I smiled and let my fingers trail down his jaws and with a light shiver, his eyes fluttered open.

"Come back to bed", he grumbled, still half asleep.

I rolled my eyes as I continued trailing my fingers down his chest and then his abs and—

He caught my hands before it could go any lower. Then the next thing I know, I'm being pinned down on my bed.

I gave him a victory smile, "You're awake."

"Yes, and so is my not so little friend down there."

I chuckled, "Nothing that a cold shower can't fix."

"I actually had other ideas." He smirked and dipped his head towards the nape of my neck, placing a kiss there.

"Blake, I don't have time to do anymore cover ups. So if you leave a hickey, you're not getting laid for the next one month."

He groaned and pulled away from my neck.

"Besides, I'm already dressed for school. You should've woken up earlier." I said as I slightly pushed his shoulder hinting him to get up.

"You're so mean." He pouted and got up, releasing me. He walked into the bathroom while I returned back to doing my hair.

After a while, he came out with a towel secured around his waist.

"Lynne, be nice to Terra if you don't want her to report to you to the authorities", he reminded.

I scoffed, "I'm not scared of her."

"So, you're not scared to go to jail?"

"As I told you yesterday, I can get out of it easily."

"But don't you hate taking help from your parents?" he smirked knowing that he won this little argument.

"Maybe" I mumbled quietly making him chuckle.

"Just be careful", he said placing a kiss on my forehead, "And try not to get into any trouble, please"

"No promises." I said and he rolled his eyes.

"Get dressed or we'll be late." I scolded pushing him towards my closet.

I fiddle with my bracelet as I stood in front of Kate's locker, waiting for her to leave her Algebra class. The uneasiness in the pit of my stomach didn't settle even after seeing her walk towards me.

"Give it to me straight. How bad is it?"

"Really bad." She replied and I closed my eyes, letting out a deep sigh.

I had asked Kate to spy on Blake and Terra today to know the outcome of my failure.

"Addy, saying that your plan failed would be an understatement. Your great plan to keep them apart just drove them closer. Now, she trusts him more than ever since he saved her from you and Jack."

I groaned and leaned my head against her locker.

"I can't believe I messed up this bad."

"Well at least next time, you'll think twice before forcing someone's boyfriend into sexually assaulting a girl", she said with a bitter tone.

I looked up at her. "But I asked your permission before involving him in this", I reasoned.

"I didn't know your plan would be so problematic. I thought you wanted him to charm her or something."

"I'm sorry Kate, I really am."

"It's alright." She sighed.

"And please don't be mad at Jack. He was just trying to help and I assure you, he did not enjoy kissing Terra."

"Yeah, I know that. I'm not mad at him"

"Oh, thank god", I grinned, "If you were actually mad at him, he wouldn't let me live another second."

She chuckled and shook her, "I'm actually planning to get back with him tonight. What do you think I should wear?"

"You should wear something that would give him a hurtful boner", I replied, "The poor guy hasn't had sex in a while."

A small smile appeared on her lip. "A little black dress or a trench coat going commando inside?"

"Definitely commando" I smirked.

"Hey guys"

Kate and I whipped our head towards the voice and smiled at Hazel.

"Asher asked me to be his girlfriend last night", she said looking down at her feet.

I was about to squeal my lungs out but stopped myself when I saw the sour look on her face.

"What's wrong? Isn't that what you wanted?" I asked.

"Yes. But he wants an open relationship", she replied.

"Why the hell would he want that?" Kate asked.

"He wants to fuck other girls and still call me his girlfriend", Hazel replied with an eye roll.

"He's just being an idiot. I'll go talk to him." I offered.

"Oh no, don't", Hazel said, "I don't want to force him into anything"

"Well, this is going to suck", Kate commented.

"Actually, I know what you should do", I said with a smirk as I thought of an idea.

"Oh god, if it involves parties and MDMA, I'm out", Hazel replied.

"No, you idiot. You should take advantage of the open relationship. After a while, he'll get tired of sharing you."

"That's not a bad idea", Kate commented, "This way, you get to make him jealous and hook-up with some cute guys"

"But I don't want other guys", Hazel whined.

"Just remember that he's going to be with a lot of different girls. That'll make it easier for you to be with other guys." I explained.

"I guess I'll give it a try", she said unsurely.

"Well, it's time to get to class", Kate informed, "Addy, you have English, right?" she asked and I nodded.

"Great, let's go." She said grabbing my arms.

We bid farewell to Hazel and walked into our English class only to notice Terra sitting in the front. We glared at her before walking towards our seats at the back.

"What's your problem?"

I looked up and was met with an enraged Terra.

"I have a lot of problems actually. My shoes hurt but they make me look really good, so—"

"I mean, what problem do you have with me?"

"Oh simple, I don't like you", I said giving her a sly smile.

"What did I ever do to you for you to drug me and try to get me raped?"

I laughed, "Don't be flattered. Jack would never want to fuck you."

She frowned at me, "If he wasn't going to rape me, then what was he doing?"

"He was just kissing you. Didn't you enjoy it?" I asked with a faux sincerity.

"No, I did not enjoy being drugged and kissed by a no-good asshole who should just eat shi—"

"Hey, that's my boyfriend you're talking about." Kate defended standing up from her seat.

"And you're proud of that?" Terra shot back making Kate gasp.

"This bitch. I'm going to..." She lunged towards Terra but I quickly got up holding her back.

"Let's take the high road, Kate." I said.

"Oh, last night you were really riding up the high road, weren't you Addelyn?" Terra scowled.

I rolled my eyes, "No I wasn't. But right now, I'm planning to leave you alone because a certain someone asked me to. And trust me; you don't want me to change my mind."

She let out a defeated sigh, "Why are you doing this? What do you want from me?"

"I want you to stay away from me and my friends. Especially Blake." I ordered and she nodded her head.

"Fine", she grumbled, "You're a heart less bitch, you know that?"

An evil smirk appeared on my lips. "Oh honey, I do have a heart. It's just not opened to you"

She glared at me one last time before walking back to her seat.

I smirked and turned towards Kate.

"Our plan might have failed, but we still got what we wanted." I said sitting down.

"I'm glad. I seriously don't like that bitch." She replied taking her seat while still glaring at Terra.

The teacher entered the room and I sat through the class peacefully, knowing that Terra would never bother me again.

Or at least that's what I thought.

Author's Note

Look at me being all evil, making you fall in love with Asher and Hazel just to spring this open relationship on you.

But this does not really change Asher's personality. He's a great brother-figure to Addelyn but clearly not boyfriend material. After all, he is Blake's best friend.

Well, at least I got Kate and Jack back together.

But I also sent Blake and Addelyn crashing back to hell.
