47. Party Dates and Hypothetical Monogamy

CHAPTER 47
Party Dates and Hypothetical Monogamy

Blake's POV

I pushed her against the door of the janitor's closet before crashing my lips onto hers and she quickly responded by fisting my hair in her hands, making me groan into her mouth. Our tongues tangled with each other, making feeling of excitement erupt through my entire body.

But to my dismay, she pulled away from me but her face remained right in front of mine, giving me the urge to kiss her again

"Blake," She called breathlessly, "We need to stop."

"Why?" I pouted and she chuckled.

"The bell rang five minutes ago." She said.

"Oh, come on, Lynne. We skipped English to make out. Skipping lunch isn't a big deal." I said.

"It's not about skipping." She said, playing with the first button of my shirt, "Our friends would start getting suspicious if we both go missing all the time."

"Who cares?" I asked, leaning in closer to her.

"Blake, just imagine it." She said, grabbing my face, "Asher would either be extremely excited or extremely pissed, or maybe even both. Hazel would probably lecture me on having a bad taste in men, an–"

"Excuse me! You have great taste in men." I smirked, making her roll her eyes.

"Kate would probably start planning our wedding." She continued, "And the worst would be Jack. Imagine all the sexual things he would say about us."

"Jack's might actually be fun." I chuckled.

"No! That's weird. I mean, I really love kissing you, but are we really going to have sex?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"You're right. Having sex with you would be really weird." I agreed with her even though there isn't single day when I don't think about it.

"But kissing you is so much fun." I said and she laughed before placing a soft kiss on my lips.

"Let's get out of here now." She said and I rolled my eyes before following her out of the janitor's closet. I saw Asher and Jack standing next to my locker as I parted ways with Lynne and walked towards them.

"Guess what!" Jack exclaimed and I gave him an uninterested look.

"You know what girl that I've been trying to impress, Rebecca." He said and I nodded, "Well, the reason why she wasn't interested in me is because she's into someone else."

"And also, because you're a moron." Asher said, earning a glare from Jack.

"Guess who's the guy that she likes." Jack smirked and I gave him another bored look.

"It's you, idiot. She has a crush on you." He said.

"I swear to god that I had nothing to do with except my naturally gifted good looks." I said, raising my hands in surrender.

"I'm not saying that you did something. I'm saying that you should ask her out. She's hot."

"What about you? Don't you like her?" I asked with a frown.

"Don't worry about me. There are plenty if other girls. You should cease the opportunity, Blake."

"I don't think I'm looking for a relationship now."

"Who said anything about a relationship?" Asher asked, "Go out with her and have some fun."

"I'm not interested." I said again before turning my attention to Lynne who stood by her locker along with Kate and little miss obnoxious, Hazel.

Her eyes met mine, making a chill run down my spine as she gave me that million-dollar smile of hers. She sexily bit her lips, staring at me before turning back to Hazel to reply to their conversation. A smile forced itself onto my face as I saw her laugh slightly as she spoke, giving a bright glow to her face.

"Blake!" Asher's voice shouted into my ears, ruining the entire mood and I turned to him with a scowl.

"Don't tell me that you're still holding onto that crush on Addy from middle school." He said.

"Of course not. I'm way over it." I said, and it was true. I really did get over it and I really did see her as just a friend, but that was until her birthday.

She had worn a dress that Asher's parents bought her for her birthday, and that was driving me crazy the entire day. Then I finally kissed like how I had dreamt of doing it all through middle school.

But I swear, I don't have a crush on her anymore. I like kissing her and I wish I could have sex with her, but beyond that, there's nothing more. Even she does not want anything more than this, so there's really no point in me making more of it.

"About Rebecca," Jack started again, making me groan, "You should go out with her. She's hot and she likes you."

"Jack, there a lot of hot girls that like me." I shrugged.

"But Rebecca is one of the hottest freshmen in school." He said.

"But not the hottest." I pointed out.

"If you're talking about Addy, forget about it. I told you this before and I'm telling this to you again; she sees you as a brother." Asher said, making me grimace.

"She does not see me as a brother." I said.

"Whatever floats you boat, dude." He shrugged.

"But why don't you want to date Rebecca?" Jack asked and I let out a sigh.

"You are like my brother, Jack. You like her, and me going out with her would just be cruel. I can't do that to you." I lied, trying to sound as genuine as possible.

"Oh, dude, you're the best friend that I could ask for!" Jack exclaimed emotionally before pulling me into a tight hug. I pursed my lips together as I slightly patted on his back. He pulled away from me and grabbed my shoulder.

"But what kind of a brother would I be if I made you miss your opportunity to be with a hot girl?" He asked and I let out a defeated sigh.

I was about to tell him that I wasn't interested again, when Josh, one of the juniors came up to us.

"Asher, looking forward to your party. I hope you have planned something good." Josh smirked.

"I won't disappoint you." Asher said.

"By the way, I wanted to ask you something." He said, wrapping an arm around Asher.

"Is that friend of yours that you're always with seeing someone?" He asked.

"Which friend?" Asher said.

"I'm talking about the blonde standing there." He said pointing at Lynne.

"She is seeing someone." I said.

"Really? Who?" He asked.

"Me," I replied, making Asher and Jack exchange a look.

"Well, that's a good one right there." He smirked, patting on my back and I tried to hold back a grimace.

He walked away from us, and Asher and Jack immediately turned to me with questioning looks.

"What?" I asked innocently.

"I'm going to say anything against this because that guy is a jerk and I don't want Addy around him." Asher said.

"Me neither. That's the only reason why I said anything." I said.

"Blake!" Jack whisper-shouted to me before pointing to someone at a distance, "It's Rebecca."

"Jack, I told you–"

"Let's go talk to her." He said and grabbed my hands before pulling me towards her.

"Hey, Becs!" Jack greeted with a smirk as I slowly moved away from them.

"Hey Jack," She greeted.

"My friend's throwing a party tonight."

"I can't go. I'm busy tonight." She said.

"Oh, that sucks. Blake wanted to know if you would go with him." Jack said and my eyes widened before I quickly rushed to them.

"It's alright if you're busy. I have absolutely no problem." I said.

"Maybe I can clear my schedule." She said, giving me a bright smile.

"That won't be necessary." I said.

"I don't mind. Pick me up at seven." She said before walking away.

"Dude! You have a date with Rebecca!" Jack exclaimed and I sighed before leaning against the nearby locker.

"Congratulations, bro!" Asher said, patting on my shoulder and I gave them both a scowl.

"Let's go eat lunch." Asher said and they both pulled me to the cafeteria.

A minute after we settled down with our food along with Cole and Luke, the girls came with their food.

I felt Lynne wrap her arms around me before resting her chin on my shoulder.

"Hey, Blake." She grinned and I smiled at her before placing a kiss on her cheek.

"Guess who has a hot date." Asher said.

"You?" Lynne asked and Hazel slightly scowled at him.

"Nope, Blake." He smirked.

I felt Lynne's arms around me loosen as she lifted her chin up from my shoulder.

"You have a date?" She asked and I hesitantly nodded as she stood up.

"That sounds great. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun." She said grumpily before sitting down next to me.

"Jack forced me into it." I explained.

"You mean, I did a favor." Jack said and I gave him a glare before turning my attention to my food. Lynne didn't say anything for the rest of the period, giving me an unsettling feeling inside me, thinking about how she would react when we're alone.

The moment she was done eating her food, she walked out of the cafeteria and I immediately followed behind her.

I called her name and she stopped in her tracks before turning to face me.

"I'm sorry. Jack was the one who asked her if sh–"

"Blake, I really don't care." She said, making my heart clench, "Why is it any of my concern if you're going on a date with someone?"

"Well... I just thought that... with... you and me... we're–"

"Friends," She said, "We're friends, Blake. You're nothing more to me than a friend and so I really don't care about who you date. Besides, I already have a date to the party."

"What?! Who?!" I asked, feeling my blood boil just at the thought.

"Josh, he asked me out." She said.

"What the fuck?! He thinks that you and I are together. How could he ask you out?"

"That explains why he kept rambling about my boyfriend. I figured he was talk about you." She said.

"Don't go out with him." I said.

"I want to." She said before turning around.

I clenched my jaw and watched her walk away as the bell rang, immediately filling the place with students.

I found Josh walking towards his locker and I marched towards him with a scowl on his face. He took his books out and closed his locker before turning around. As he spotted me, he gave me a smirk, making my urges to punch him grow stronger.

"Did you ask my girlfriend out?" I asked.

"Nothing to worry about, Blake. I asked her, and she rejected me. It's all cool between us." He said, patting my shoulder.

"She rejected you?" I raised an eyebrow and he nodded.

His phone pinged in his pocket and he fished it out before smirking at the screen.

"Actually, she just said yes." He said, giving me an arrogant smile.

I clenched my jaw before I grabbed his collar, pushing him on to the lockers.

"Woah! It's not my fault if your girlfriend isn't loyal." He said.

"And you're pretty strong for a little kid." He laughed before pushing me off him and he ruffled my hair before walking away from me as my eyes threw daggers at his retrieving figure.

"And finally, I convinced my mom to get my braces off before high school. Having braces would've been social suicide." Rebecca finished with a laugh and I didn't even know why we were talking about braces.

"Yeah," I mumbled, not really caring about the braces story.

"So, enough about me. Tell me something about you." She said.

"I..." I started, not knowing what to say, "I love pizza."

"You're funny," She chuckled but I seriously didn't find anything funny.

I remained quiet and it seemed like she had nothing to say either, and I enjoyed the peace and silence for barely a minute before she started leaning in closer to me. My eyes widened and I slowly pulled my head away from her, but she kept coming closer to me.

"I have a girlfriend." I blurted and she frowned before moving away from me.

"You have a girlfriend?" She asked, raising her eyebrows.

"I-I need to go." I said before quickly turning around and walking away.

I walked around the party, and I don't know why I was searching for Lynne, but when I finally found her in the kitchen, I didn't feel the joy of it.

I found her pressed against a wall as Josh's lips moved over her neck. She pulled his head away from her neck and crashed her lips onto his, bringing a burning feeling inside me. I clench my fist so damn hard, seeing him kiss my Lynne when he had no right to touch her like that.

She is not mine, I reminded myself as I controlled my urges to punch his guts out.

She pulled away from him and her eyes met mine, showing no emotion as she stared at me with her cold eyes.

Josh followed her gaze and turned around to look at me before giving me a smirk. Lynne took his hand in hers and pulled him out of the kitchen, but not before giving me a last cold glare.

She is not mine, I told myself again, trying to calm the rage building up inside me.

I walked back to the living room where I saw Rebecca. The moment her eye caught mine me, she rushed over to me.

"What happened?" She asked, "You said that you had a girlfriend and just walked off."

"Uh... you make me nervous, Rebecca." I lied and a blush appeared on her cheeks.

"Oh... you make me nervous too." She said shy and I gave her a forced smile.

"Why don't we go dance?" I said, lending her hand and she took it before we walking to the middle of the room.

She wrapped her arms around my neck and I smirked before circling my hands around her waist and abruptly pulling her to my chest, making her gasp.

I chuckled and leaned in closer to her, making her breath slightly hitch. From my peripheral view, I saw Lynne enter the room and a satisfied smirk made its way to my lips, seeing that Josh wasn't with her. I crashed my lips against Rebecca's, making her tighten her grip around my neck.

I pulled her closer to me, kissing her with all I had until we were out of breath. I pulled away and my head turned to Lynne who stood still in her position with a glare directed my way before she turned around and walked upstairs.

"Excuse me, I have to go." I told Rebecca.

"But what about the kiss?" She asked.

"I had fun with you, but I don't think this is going to work out." I said and I heard her mumble 'jerk' before I walked away.

I quickly followed her as she climbed up the stairs and saw her entering a room. I walked in and found the closet's door left open before I got in it to see her sitting there.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Staring at Kristine's shoes. Staring at shoes is not as boring as it looks." She said and I let out a chuckle.

"What do you want?" She asked.

"Nothing," I shrugged.

"Then do you mind leaving me alone?" She asked.

"Nope," I said and closed the door to the closet before leaning against it and folding my arms.

"If you came here to gloat that you were with someone else, too bad because I don't care that you were with that girl." Lynne said.

"And I don't care that you don't care." I said.

"What happened with Josh?" I asked.

"I got bored," She said, "What happened with what's her face?"

"I got bored," I said, giving her the same reply.

"And now you're here because you're bored of her." She said, getting up from the seat and walking over to me

"Maybe," I said, "Not like you didn't come searching for me because you were bored of Josh."

"I didn't come searching for you."

"Don't lie to me." I said blankly.

"Fine, I did come searching for you. So?" She asked and I simply shrugged.

"You're very infuriating sometimes." She said and I chuckled.

"But I'm still your best friend." I said.

"See, infuriating." She said.

She moved closer to me, making me smirk as she looked up at me. And the next thing I know, I had her lips locked against mine as put my hand under her thighs and gave her a push, making her jump and wrap her legs around me.

Our lips moved against each other as her tongue slowly slipped inside my mouth and I pushed her against the door of the closet. I decided to step it up a bit and slip my hand under her top, wondering if she would pull away from me, but she didn't. Instead, she kissed me even harder as my hand roamed around her back, feeling her smooth skin under my hand.

Suddenly, the door opened and I lost my balance as the two of us fell on top of whoever opened the door.

"Ouch!" I heard Lynne's voice over a male groan coming from below her.

"What the fuck is going on here?" I heard Asher's voice as he quickly entered the room.

I got up and helped Lynne up to reveal Cole lying on the ground.

"Why did you open the closet?" I asked Cole as he slowly sat up straight the ground.

"I sent him to keep my mom's antiques in her closet before those wild monkeys break them." Asher replied instead of Cole.

"What were you three doing?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Gross! We weren't doing anything with him!" I exclaimed with a grimace as Lynne silently laughed next to me.

"I am innocent!" Cole claimed, getting up from the floor, "I opened the closet to keep you mom's things in and they both fell over me."

"Where are those things now?" Asher asked and Cole confusedly looked around till he found them lying on the floor.

Asher rushed to it before picking the plastic bag up from the floor and opening it.

"They're all broken!" He exclaimed with shock, "I should've just left it downstairs."

"I'm going to get some ice." Cole grumbled before limping out of the room.

"So, what were you two doing inside my mom's closet?" Asher asked.

"Shoe watching, obviously." Lynne replied.

"How did you end up falling on Cole then?" He asked.

Lynne and I exchanged a glance and we both nodded our head in agreement before turning to Asher.

"We were kissing." I said and Lynne nodded.

"What the fuck?!" Asher asked.

"We've been doing it for a while now." Lynne said.

"What the fuck?!" Asher asked again.

I chuckled and wrapped my arms around Lynne before placing a chaste kiss on her lips.

"Gross! Never do that in front of me again." Asher ordered and I gave Lynne an evil look which she returned.

"You mean this?" I asked before crashing my lips against hers and she responded by kissing me back and putting her hand behind my head, pulling me closer. A moan escaped my lips as she tugged on my hair as our tongues massaged each other.

"Please, stop!" Asher said and I pulled away from Lynne before letting out a chuckle.

"Now, get out of my parents' room." He said, walking out of the room and we followed behind him.

"Don't tell anyone." I said and he mumbled an 'okay'.

We followed him downstairs and found Hazel and Kate chatting before we walked up to them.

"Guys, guess what. Blake and Addy are hooking up." Asher told them, making their eyes widen before he turned to us with a smirk.

"I will murder you," Lynne said and he chuckled.

"Addy! Where are your standards?" Hazel asked and I gave her a glare.

"No, I think it's cute. Imagine the cute babies they would make!" Kate grinned, making me roll my eyes.

"Told you they would react like that." She whispered to me and I lightly chuckled before placing a kiss on her temple.

"Now all that's left for is Jack." I said and right on cue, he walked over to us.

"What's going on?" He asked, sitting down in between Kate and Hazel.

"Addy and Eek are hooking up." Hazel said.

"Eek?" I asked.

"I have a lot of colorful words for you. Be happy that I didn't use them." She said.

"I had my suspicions." Jack said casually.

"Really? Then why did you try to hook me up with Rebecca?" I asked.

"I wanted to see if you were going to tell us."

"And for that you forced him to go on a date with an innocent girl?" Kate asked and innocently nodded.

"You're a dick." She said.

"Oh, you'll love my dick, Kate." He smirked, making her grimace.

"Oh hell, no! You're disgusting!" She exclaimed.

"Why don't we get out of here?" Lynne whispered in my ears and I smiled.

I grabbed her hand and we slowly slipped away from them till we were out of the house.

"So, how about we go to your place, watch a movie, make out a little and then go to bed?" I asked.

"I like that idea." She said and I chuckled before wrapping her.

Since then, we never fought over either of is being with other people. I hated seeing her with other guys, but I couldn't say anything against it. Slowly, we fell into the habit and I started hooking up with random girls, and every time I felt the slightest of guilt, I kept reminding myself that she wasn't mine.

Now, she's with Cole fucking Hamilton and that made every drop of my blood boil. She does not even remember the names of most guys she hooks up with, and that gave me the slightest bit of relief. But with him, it felt like a recreation of everything we had and I couldn't help but feel replaced.
