4. Caught Lies and Unpleasant Dinners
CHAPTER 4
Caught Lies and Unpleasant Dinners
It was just the end of first period and I was already tired. I walked towards my locker when I saw Blake leaning against it.
"Hey Lynne"
"What do you want, Blake?" I grumbled as I opened my locker.
"You could be a little nicer you know", he suggested.
"I'm not in the mood to be nice."
He let out a defeated sigh. "Lynne, I don't want to fight."
"Neither do I. Which is why, I suggest we don't talk now."
"Lynne, I don't like this. We never fight", he said ignoring what I said.
"I know. And it's all because of that bitch"
"No. It's because of your unnecessary hatred for her", he said calmly.
I didn't say anything. I don't really have a huge reason to hate Terra, do I?
"Look, I was pissed when I found you with Cole and you were pissed when you saw me with Terra. Can we just forgive each other and move on?" he asked.
"Cole and I were just talking." I pointed out.
"Same with Terra and me", he said.
I remained silent. They were just talking, but something felt wrong to me.
"Lynne, we're fighting for absolutely no reason. Can't we please just forget about this?" he pleaded.
"I guess", I said finally giving in. I didn't really have a valid reason to argue anyways.
"So, we're good again?"
"Yeah" I smiled at him.
"Great. I hate the thought of you being mad at me."
He put his palm on my cheek and leaned down to place a kiss on my lip. "I really am sorry for last night" he said.
"I'm sorry too." I said and he grinned.
"So, I wanted to ask you something." he said.
"What is it?"
"You know the annual charity event thrown by the Hamiltons every year?"
"Yeah. I heard that my parents are going." I replied.
"I was wondering if you wanted to be my date", he said sheepishly.
"But—"
"I know you don't want to face your parents. But I'll stay by your side the whole night. I'll make sure they'll come nowhere near you", he said.
"I don't know......" I trailed off as he made cute puppy dog eyes at me, "Fine, I'll go"
"Great. I'm going to make sure it's fun for you. You won't regret it." He said before pecking my lips softly.
"Okay. What do you have last period?" I asked.
"Algebra. Why?"
"Want to skip?" I asked as I trailed a finger down his chest.
"Uh, I can't. I-I have a test"
"A test? It's the second day of school"
"Yeah, umm...... it's a pre-requisite test", he said and I frowned.
"A pre-requisite test?" I asked to which he nodded
"Okay" I said not fully convinced.
"Alright. Bye." He placed a kiss on my cheek before walking towards his class.
I took out my phone and dialed Kate's number.
"Hey, you're in Blake's Algebra class, right?" I asked and she replied in affirmative.
"Do you happen to have a pre-requisite test today?"
"Nothing that I've heard of", she replied.
"Alright. I need you to keep an eye on him"

The last period was finally over. I took out my phone and called Kate. She might be out of her algebra class now.
"Hey Kate. What do you have for me?"
"You're not going to like this, but all he did in class was bug that scholarship kid. I made sure that I sat right behind him and eavesdropped on all their conversations"
"Good. What were the talking about?"
"He wanted to take Terra on a date after school"
"A date?" I choked. Sure, Blake has slept with a lot of girls. But a date?
"She rejected him though. He tried again, and again. Did that about five times and she still rejected him"
I sighed, "Thank you Kate"
"Welcome. Bye"
"Bye"
I stopped at my locker before going home.
"Lynne" I heard a voice behind me.
I felt a pair of arms wrapping around my waist pulling me to a rock-hard chest.
"What do you want?" I asked Blake.
"I was hoping we could hang out. Your place?" he asked.
I removed his arms from my waist and turned around.
"Why? Got reject by Miss. Goody-two-shoes?"
"How did yo- Dammit, Kate", he cursed as realization dawned upon him.
"You thought I wouldn't find out?"
"Lynne, I'm sorry. I lied to you because I was scared that you'd be mad at me again."
"Well, that worked out well." I commented sarcastically.
"Please try to understand Lynne. She's my friend too and I wanted to spend some time with her"
"So, spending time with her is more important to you than being with me?"
"Of course not, Lynne. Algebra is the only time I get with her, whereas, I'm always with you, aren't I?"
"Well, you're not getting me tonight. I made plans with Alec", I lied. I'm probably just going to go home and watch Netflix.
"Alec?" he practically shouted, "That guy is a jerk. Why are you hanging out with him?"
I shrugged, "He's good in bed"
"He can't be that good", he grumbled.
"He is." I replied and pushed him away before walking out of the school.

"Stop touching me"
Hazel said we should all go out for dinner tonight. Blake was going to be there and he thinks that I'm spending the day with Alec, so I had to invite him along too.
But this idiot won't stop feeling up my legs as I drove.
"Hey, do me a favor please." I told Alec, keeping my eyes on the road.
"Anything for you, baby", he replied placing his hands back on my thighs.
I think I just barfed in my mouth.
"Take out my phone and text Cole."
"Okay, what do I type?"
"If you bring your side chick with you, I'm going to cut your balls off and play ping pong with it", I dictated for him.
Alec looked at me with widened eyes.
"Same goes for you if you don't keep your hands off my legs", I warned and he quickly tore his hands away from my thighs before sending the text to Cole.
We arrived and entered the restaurant. Hazel waved from a table and I walked towards her pulling Alec with me.
I looked at Kate sitting alone and frowned.
"Where's Jack?" I asked.
"He's not coming. We broke up", she replied.
"What happened?"
"He got into a fight with a guy who was apparently staring at me. I told him not to talk to me until he learns how to control himself", she explained.
"Kate, he was just being protective of you. Poor guy."
"But he knows I hate violence."
"Yes, but still, forgive him. He's probably feeling horrible now."
"Yeah, I'll get back together with him. But let him suffer for a while so he'll know not to repeat that again"
"Okay. That'll do I guess."
I watched the door and smiled when I saw Cole entered alone.
"So, my balls are safe?" he asked jokingly as he sat down opposite me.
"Yeah. For now." I replied and he laughed.
For the next few minutes, I talked to my friends as I tried to put some distance between Alec and I. This guy is too clingy.
"Hi"
I froze when I heard the soft sound.
I looked up at the new comer before turning my attention to Cole.
"What the fuck, Cole?" I shouted not caring about all the attention I grabbed.
"No, he didn't bring me here", Terra butted in, "I came here with Blake"
I looked up and saw Blake entering the restaurant. He walked over to us with a smile but frowned when he saw Alec sitting beside me. I averted my eyes back to Terra with a glare.
"Hazel, washroom. Now!" I said and stood up never tearing my gaze away from Terra.
Hazel stood up too and I walked away with her hot behind my trails.
"I don't want her around me anymore." I said as soon as we entered the washroom.
"She's Cole's friend. We can't just get rid of her"
"Yes, we can. We just have to be smart about it", I said with an evil smile on my face.
"This should be interesting." She smirked, "Do you have a plan?"
"Not yet. But I will soon enough"
