Chapter 38
Late Disclosures and Wistful Yearning

Nothing was better than waking up, feeling Blake warm body against mine and hearing the soft sound of his heartbeat as my head rested on his chest. I looked up at his face, and a small smile lit my lips, seeing him sleep peacefully.

I hugged him tighter, wishing that I could wake up like this every morning. But I knew this was the last time this ever happened.

I heard a familiar ring tone, and I groaned at the sound ruining my peaceful morning.

"Blake, your phone is ringing," I said but got no response from him.

After a few seconds, the ringing stopped, but I groaned again when my phone rang.

I looked at the caller ID to see Claire's name on the screen, and I grimaced at the idea of talking to her while I lied naked on top of her son. Anyways, I answered the phone and placed it against my ear.

"Addelyn, hey." She breathed out, almost as if she had been crying.

"Hey, Claire. Is everything alright?"

"No. Blake isn't picking up my calls."

"Don't worry. He's just asleep."

"No, he hasn't been responding to my calls for the past two weeks. I've been trying to give him some space, but the test results come out tomorrow, and I need to talk to him before that."

"What test results?" I asked, scrunching my face up in confusion.

"For the paternity test," she said, and I raised an eyebrow.

"Paternity test? What paternity test?" I asked with a frown, before glancing at Blake who was still asleep, unaware of this conversation.

"Didn't he tell you?" she asked. "Oh my god! I-I shouldn't have called you."

"No, no, no. Sorry. He told me, but we hadn't talked about it in a while. I just got confused for a second." I lied.

"Oh, great. That's it." She sighed a breath of relief. "Could you please ask him to talk to me? He'll listen to you."

"Yeah, of course."

"Thank y–"

"Wait, Claire! He was uncomfortable talking about it, so he didn't explain much," I said before taking a deep breath, preparing myself. "Did he get a girl pregnant?"

"What? No. That's impossible."

"Impossible?" I asked. "Is he infertile? Has he checked? Can he check at this age? Can it be treated?"

I mentally slapped myself for the anxiety developing in my head. It wasn't like I'd marry him and have his children... or even date of him... or sleep with him again.

"No, it's impossible because he's still a virgin." Clair interrupted my mental ramble.

"He's a what?" I asked before glancing at the naked boy lying next to me.

"He's a virg– Wait, do you know something that I don't know?" She asked and my mind went back to everything we did last night, making my body heat up.

"Of course not. He barely even looks at girls in that way," I said, trying to hold back my laughter. "Or boys or any other gender," I added.

"Good. It better stay that way until he's twenty."

"I'll make sure of that." I promised. "And about the paternity test, if he didn't get a girl pregnant, is this about his dad?"

She kept silent for a while before answering, "Yes. Blake's really angry about it."

"I'll talk to him. Don't worry." I assured.

"Thank you, Addelyn. I'm so glad that he has a friend like you," she said, and I smiled.

"I'm really glad to have a friend like him." I turned to face him, wrapping my arms around him.

We said our goodbyes before hanging up, and I sat up on my bed before taking my pillow and hitting him hardly on his head.

"Wake up!" I shouted and he grumbled in response before going back to sleep.

"Wake up!" I shouted again before hitting on his head with pillow. After a few hits, he brought his hand up to hold the pillow before opening his eyes slowly to look at me.

"What time is it?" he asked.

"I don't know, but I want your virgin ass up right now."

"Virg– Did you talk to my mom?"

"Yes."

"What did she tell you?" he asked.

"Things that I wish you had told me," I said, and his eyes filled with guilt before he sat up straight on the bed.

"Lynne, I'm sorry," he said. "I was going to tell you, but you were with Cole that night." He gulped, and my eyes widened, thinking about the way I behaved with him that night. "The next day, you were ignoring me, and after that, with everything that happened, I never found the right time."

"I'm sorry," I whispered.

"It's alright. You didn't know," he said, and I climbed on his lap before holding his face in my hands.

"But I should've asked you." I lowered my head. I was so afraid that Terra would be the reason he was upset that I never dared to ask him.

"Lynne," he called, lifting my head with his finger. "It's not your fault," he said, placing a lingering kiss on my forehead.

He detached his lips from mine before resting his forehead on his.

"You know you can tell me anything, right?" I asked, and he smiled before nodding his head.

He slowly leaned his head upwards, letting his lips almost touch mine.

"Blake, just friends, remember?"

"Right. And friends totally sit naked on top of each other." He responded sarcastically.

"Well, if you have a problem with it, I'll just get off," I said before lifting myself from his lap.

"Nope, no problems." He putt his hand on my thighs, pushing me down to his lap again, making me laugh before placing a kiss on his cheek.

"So, who's the guy your mom was with?" I asked.

"I might've stalked him online," He said, leaning towards the side table before picking up his phone.

He scrolled through it and handed me it.

"This guy?" I asked, observing the photo and he nodded.

"This guy is ugly," I said and he laughed. "I thought your mom had good taste in guys."

Blake's face scrunched up in disgust as he looked at me, "Are you talking about my dad?"

"Yes. He's fucking hot." I smirked and Blake grimaced.

"I'm just going to pretend that you did not say that."

"But he is hot. He looks just like you which is why you don't need a paternity test to prove that he's your dad."

"Really?" he asked with a chuckle.

"Yes, really. You should've just come to me in the first place. Instead of wasting all that money on a paternity test, you could've bought me a lot of shoes."

"I'll buy you three pairs of shoes if the test comes out positive." He smiled.

"Well, now that you're offering... four."

He laughed. "Fine. I'll get you four pairs of shoes."

I grinned, wrapping my arms around his head and pulling it to my chest for a hug. "You're the best!"

"Your boobs are on my face. It's getting really hard to control myself," he warned, and I chuckled, kissing his cheek.

"I'm going to shower. And no, you cannot join me," I said as he opened his mouth to speak, making him pout.

After showering, I dressed up before walking downstairs.

"Blake!" I called out to him before rolling my eyes as I smelled smoke fill up the place.

I walked into the kitchen and smiled when I saw Blake standing there with his apron. I walked up to him, wrapping my arms around him, making him jump in surprise.

"Woah! You almost burned me along with the food!" he exclaimed.

"So, you admit your food is burned?" I asked, resting my head on his back.

"I'm not in denial anymore," he said, turning around to face me. He wrapped his hands around my waist, and as I rested my head on his chest.

"Can we please ask Helena to make something? I really don't want to eat anything you cooked."

"Rude! But okay. Even I don't want to eat anything I cooked," he said, making me laugh.

"I wish we could go back to last night," I whispered as he leaned his head on mine.

"Last night was amazing." He sighed.

"You fell off the bed in the second round. That was hilarious." I laughed at the memory.

"It wasn't," he mumbled.

"Why don't we extend the time a little?" He asked, "One night and one morning."

"I like that," I said, playing with his shirt.

He grinned at me before placing his hand under my thighs and lifting me up, making me squeal as he placed me on the kitchen counter.

"I can already feel it getting hot in here." He smirked dipping his head to my neck.

"Blake, that's because your food is on fire," I said, and he quickly pulled away from me before looking at the stove.

"Holy shit!" He cursed, staring the flames.

I rolled my eyes, getting off the counter and walking towards the fire blanket hung on the wall.

"Uhh... what are you doing, Lynne?" He asked.

"I'm going to put it out." I replied.

"No! Don't go near it!" He exclaimed as I walked towards the stove and I gave him a weird look before putting the blanket on top of the fire, extinguishing it.

"Who knew you were so scared of fire?" I asked, laughing.

"It's PTSD. Remember last year when a match stick fell out of my hand during chemistry lab? Yeah, I'm still traumatized," he said, and I gave him a disappointed look.

"You're so dramatic sometimes." I laughed.

"Now back to the fun part," he said, leaning in to kiss me but I placed a hand on his chest, stopping.

"One morning means that we'll be done by twelve, okay?" I asked and he glanced at the clock.

"But that's twenty minutes from now." He pouted. "Okay, fine. Let's make this quick."

He picked me up bridal style and walked into the living room, throwing me on the couch before hovering over me. He took off shirt, attaching his lips to mine. My hand wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer as his tongue played around with mine, sending chills down my entire body.

I was about to take my clothes off when I heard the door open.

"Kids! What are you doing?" Hazel shouted as she stood in front of the door, staring at us in shock.

"What are you doing here?" I asked but instead of replying she casually walked in a took a couch.

"Wear a shirt, Blake," She ordered, making him glare at her.

"Go away!" He said.

"How busy were you last night to not lock the door?" We heard another voice from the door and I saw Asher coming in.

"Really busy. And we're still busy. So, get out!" Blake shouted.

"When Jack told me about this, I was hoping that he lied." Hazel shook her head in disappointment.

"Please get out and come back after twenty minutes!" Blake begged as he got off me.

"We're not leaving," Asher said, sitting down next to Hazel, and I rolled my eyes, sitting up straight as Blake pulled on his shirt.

"I was practically responsible for your hot passionate hate sex last night and this is how you thank me." I huffed, dramatically.

"What hate sex?" Asher asked, "We talked and we realized that you were playing both us. And now all the hate is on you." He said.

"Oops," I said in a low voice before hiding my face behind Blake.

"The evil cupid has failed." Blake chuckled before wrapping his arms around me, pulling me to his chest.

"Anyways, you two dumbheads can do whatever you want," Hazel told Blake and Asher, "Addy and I are going shopping for the masquerade ball."

"I already have a dress," I said, and Blake smiled at me before placing a kiss on top of my head.

"I picked it out. So, it's amazing." He smirked.

"I bet it sucks," Hazel said blankly before turning to me. "Do you have a mask?"

"Nope."

"Great! We're going shopping then!" Hazel squeaked before grabbing my hands.

I chuckled at her before walking upstairs to get dressed. When I came back downstairs, Hazel was already in the car and Asher was in the kitchen, stuffing his face with leftovers.

Blake walked up to me before holding my waist.

"So, our twenty minutes is over," he said sadly, placing his forehead on mine. "Do we really have to end this? I don't want to."

"We have to. But one last kiss won't hurt," I whispered, leaning up and touching his lips with mine. He smiled against my lips before responding, and I grabbed his face in my hands, pressing his face closer to mine, wishing that I didn't have to let go, but I had to if I didn't want to lose him forever.

Before it got too deep, and we lose control, I pulled away from him and he gave me a sad look.

"I'll see you when I get back home." I said and he nodded.

"Oh, get me a mask too." He said.

"Okay. Bye, Blake." I whispered and placed a kiss on his cheek before walking away.
