CHAPTER 3
Unwanted Guests and Troubling Fights

"Hey," I greeted, giving Cole and Terra a tight-lipped smile, "come in."

A glare shined across my eyes as she stepped in, looking around my house. Cole followed behind her, but before he could enter the living room, I grabbed his hand. Terra gave us a puzzled glance, and in response, Cole gestured her to keep walking before he turned to me. 

"Could you remind me when I invited her?" I hissed.

"Addy, she was bored, and I didn't want to leave her alone at home."

"You could've told me." 

"Would you have let her come if I told you?"

"Of course not," I scoffed.

"Exactly. I know you don't like her. But try to get along with her please?"

"And why would I do that?"

"Because you are a nice human being?" he tried with an awkward smile.

"Even I know that's not true, Cole." I deadpanned, making him chuckle. 

"Come here, I missed you," he said, pulling me into a hug.

"You're avoiding the subject," I pointed out.

He sighed, pulling away from the hug. "Let's keep this aside and join the others, shall we?"

"Fine," I mumbled, walking into the living room with him following behind me. 

The moment I entered, my heart stopped, and a gush of heat rushed through my body. I saw red, watching Terra sat in my previous seat with Blake's arm casually slung around her shoulder. He whispered something to her, and she giggled as a blush creeped up her cheeks. 

Cole tensed up beside me, and I realized he wasn't happy with this either. Everyone but Blake and Terra seemed to notice the tension in the room as I huffed, walking over to Kate and sitting down next to her. 

"Are you alright?" she whispered to me, and I nodded a yes.

"So," Asher started, trying to break the tension, "what are we doing tonight?"

I took in a deep breath, plastering a fake smile on my face. "We could watch a movie and have drinks in the pool," I suggested, and everyone approved excitedly. 

"Hazel choose the movie," I ordered, "and I'll get the popcorn."

As Hazel began browsing through the TV, I got up from my seat, walking into the kitchen to pick up the popcorn prepared by my cook. Making my way to the kitchen counter, I halted, hearing footsteps behind me.

"Why the hell is your boyfriend slobbering over Terra?"

I rolled my eyes, turning to Cole. "He's not my boyfriend."

"I don't care if he's your boyfriend or not. My problem is that he is getting all over Terra."

My blood boil as he mentioned it, but I held back my rage, diverting my thoughts to a question that had been bugging me for a while.

"Why do you care?" I asked. "Do you like her?"

"N-no, I don't like her," he stuttered, and I smirked. He likes her.

"Look, she's my best friend and I don't want a guy like Blake hurting her," he explained.

"Sure, that's it." I laughed sarcastically.

"That's really it, Addy," he asserted.

"Okay, fine. I don't care anyways," I said, turning around to take the bowl of popcorn.

"Tell him to stay away from her." Cole took a step forward, entering my personal space. 

I turned to face him. "That's none of my business," I said even though I might ask Blake to keep some distance.

"Lynne, what's tak—" Cole and I snapped our head to the entrance where Blake stood, his mouth parting open on seeing us together. 

"What are you doing here?" he asked Cole as he gritted his teeth in annoyance.

I looked back at Cole, noticing the proximity between us. Cole stepped closer to me until his torso almost touched mine; his lips curved up in a satisfied smirk. 

"Just catching up," he replied. "Right, Lynne?" He drew out Blake's nickname for me in a suggestive tone. 

"Yeah. Catching up." I bit my lips, placing a hand on Cole's chest before facing Blake who looked like he could kill someone now. 

"Was there anything you wanted Blake?" I asked innocently.

"Just wanted to know what's taking you so long." He gritted his teeth tighter as he walked over to us.

He glared at Cole as he leaned in between us and took the bowl of popcorn from the counter. He then put a possessive arm around my waist and pulled me away to the living room.

I glared at Blake and pulled away from his grip before sitting down next to Kate. This time, Blake took the vacant seat to my other side instead of returning back to his previous one next to Terra.

Cole wore an ecstatic when he came back, noticing the changes. He sat down next to Terra, giving her a wide as she smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. 

"What's up with you and Hamilton?" Blake whispered, referring to Cole by his surname.

"Nothing's up. Why?" I answered.

"That wasn't nothing," he muttered.

"Well, do you have a problem if it isn't nothing?"

"No," Blake mumbled and looked away.

I looked away, turning to the movie that had started, but before I could concentrate, I felt Blake's breath hit the side of my face. 

"Actually, I do have a problem." His lips brushed against my ear. "Tonight, you're mine. So, ask him to back off," he whispered, sending chills down my spine.

"Blake, it'll be too lat—"

"Shh, we're watching a movie." He smirked, and I breathed in, trying to calm my beating heart. He kissed my cheek, pulling my head to his chest as he watched the movie.

By the time the movie was over, Jack was asleep on Kate's shoulder. That's so typical of him. And as usual Blake made sure to draw a dick on his forehead.

Kate gently shook him awake but he wouldn't budge. Luke grinned and smacked his head really hard causing everyone to cringe.

Jack quickly opened his eyes and looked around.

"Morning dickhead" Asher smirked

"Sorry, I fell......" He trailed off before his eyes widened, "Oh shit, I fell asleep."

His eyes scanned all of our amused faces before he turned to Blake with a glare.

"BLAKE!! AGAIN?!?" he shouted causing Blake to laugh. This most definitely wasn't the first time Blake brought out his artistic side on Jack's forehead.

Hazel quickly took out her phone and snapped a picture of Jack.

"This is going on my story." She grinned as she showed the picture to Asher.

"You guys are the worst." Jack grumbled, "I'm going to wash this off"

He stood up and walked towards the bathroom.

The rest of us stepped inside each room to change into our swim suits. I asked everyone to get one in case we get in the pool. Everyone, except Terra.

I smirked realizing how she'd be left out.

We all stepped out enjoying the cool breeze. The guys had already changed by the time I got there and soon enough Hazel and Kate were also by my side. Hazel and I were the first ones to step in while Blake and Asher had gone to get the drinks.

Jack picked up Kate and she let out a squeal. He carried her bridal style as she begged him to put her down. Without any warning he jumped into the pool with her still screaming profanities at him.

"I hate you." Kate shouted as she resurfaced.

"I love you too baby", Jack cooed and swam towards her. They started making out until Asher jumped in making a splash.

"Guys please do not have sex in my pool. I don't want your juices floating around", I told them and Kate blushed but quickly hid her face in Jack's chest. He chuckled hugging her closer towards him.

They were so cute together and I wanted that someday. With Blake, to be specific.

"I'm just going to wait out here with Terra." Cole announced and we all protested against it. But he insisted he wanted to stay out.

"Yeah, I'm not getting in either. I'm just not in the mood." Blake informed and everyone groaned in response whereas I glared at him.

Since when is Blake not in the mood to swim?

Blake looked worried seeing that I was pissed but looked away when Terra walked over to him. She said something making him smile and they both made their way towards the lounge chairs.

If he thinks he's getting some from me tonight, he can suck it.

"Addy" I heard my name being called and I turned around to face Luke.

"Hey Luke, what's up?"

"When did that happen?" he asked pointing at Hazel and Asher splashing water at each other.

"Summer vacation. Aren't they cute?" I grinned.

"Yeah, cute", he said spitting out the words like it was poison.

My smile fell, "Luke, is there something wrong?"

"Nope. It's all good", he said and swam away without another word.

Okay, that was weird.

Everyone splashed around for the next hour while I was busy glaring at Blake and Terra. They looked like they were having the time of their lives whereas Cole looked like he wanted to murder someone. Preferably Blake, I'm guessing.

Soon enough, everyone was out of the pool and in different rooms changing back to their clothes.

I was in my room when in heard someone open the door. I turned around and saw Blake with a smile on his face.

"Do you have any idea how sexy you look in that bikini?" he asked closing the door behind him.

"Of course, I do. That's why I bought it", I grumbled taking a fresh towel from the cupboard.

"Why do you sound like you're in a bad mood?"

"Maybe because I am in a bad mood"

"Is this about me hanging out with Terra?" he asked.

"Oh, so you know that it makes me upset. Then why do you do it?"

"I don't hang out with her to make you upset, Lynne. I'm just being friendly."

"Too friendly." I mumbled walking towards the bathroom.

"Look, there's nothing going on between Terra and me."

"Lies", I said narrowing my eyes at him.

He clenched his jaws. "Why do you care anyways, Lynne? You were seconds away from sucking off Hamilton's face in the kitchen. So, you have no rights to care about which girl I hang out with."

Although I wasn't doing anything with Cole, I'm not going to give Blake the satisfaction of knowing that.

"You know what? Go fuck her for all I care", I said and slammed the bathroom door shut in his face.

Addy is slowly starting to crack. Wait until she goes full on mean girl.
