CHAPTER 16
Accidental Entanglement and Nomi

"So, the rumors were true?" Terra asked Cole with disbelief written all over her face, "You actually made out with her?" She asked, spitting out 'her' like it was venom.

"I can explain." He said, "We were drun–"

"Yes, he did. What's your problem?" I asked, interrupting Cole.

She ignored me and turned back to Cole, "How could you stoop so low?"

"Low?" I asked, letting out a low chuckle, "I am the best that it gets whereas you're just the maid's dau–"

"Addy!" Cole scolded, "Don't do that." He said, making me roll my eyes at him.

"You see that?" She asked Cole as she pointed her finger at me, "All she ever does is hurt me. How could you make out with someone who does that to me?"

"I'm sorry. I didn't think about it." He whispered guiltily.

"Seriously, Cole?" I asked, "You're going to apologize to her like that?"

I turned towards Terra, "Why do you always pretend to be a saint, Terra? How could you try and make him feel guilty when you're the one spending too much time with the guy who gave that ugly make-over to his face?"

Terra's expressions hinted realization before she looked at the ground with guilt.

"Did you know that this is all your fault?" I asked her, "If you hadn't fought with him and left with Blake, the fight would've never happened and your best friend would still have a pretty face."

"I'm sorry." She whispered as she kept her eyes on the ground, "I didn't mean to cause any problems."

Cole still remained silent, being lost for words.

"Well, you did cause a lot of problems." I told her, "What were you even thinking calling Blake last night? Was that some sort of excuse to grab his attention? Do you really think that he'll ever like you back?" I asked even though I knew that Blake actually liked her.

When she didn't answer, I spoke again, "Your little crush on him is pathetic. You can fantasize about him all you want, but don't try to make it a reality."

"Addy, can we not do this?" Cole asked calmy.

"Shut up!" I snapped at him.

I turned back to Terra, "Remember who you are; a nobody. Guys like Blake don't go for that."

"Terra, let's leave." Cole said as he grabbed her hand and dragged her away. I smirked before getting in my car and driving home.

"Should I go for cute or sexy?" Hazel asked pursing her lips together in thought.

"Sexy" I said when at the same time Kate said, "Cute"

"What do you think, Jack?" I asked.

"Why am I here?" He groaned as he fell back on Hazel's bed, "This is so boring."

"We need a guy's opinion." Kate replied, making him mutter under his breath before sitting up straight.

"Sexy." He replied and Kate pouted at him. "But you look sexy in everything." He said, making her grin.

"Skip the flirting, jackass." I said.

"Fine", he mumbled, "I would go for sexy, but I don't know what Luke likes."

"I'll find something that's both cute and sexy then." Hazel replied before walking back into her closet.

Jack's phone rang and he groaned as he read the caller ID.

"Blake's been calling me non-stop ever since he found out that I'm hanging out with you." He told me.

"Just ignore it. I'm not talking to him." I said.

Hazel came back holding two dresses in her hands, "Which one should I go for?"

"The pink one." Kate replied and I nodded in agreement.

"What do you think about this, Jack?" Hazel asked.

He scooted close to me, "I would love to rip that off a girl's body." He whispered so that I would be the only one who hears it.

"That's a yes from him." I told Hazel and she grinned before walking into her closet.

"Why don't I ever get to hear your expert guy's opinions?" Kate whined.

"Because I love being your boyfriend and I don't want that to change." He replied.

"I don't get it." Kate gave us a puzzled look.

"His opinions can get pretty erotic." I explained bluntly.

"Addy, what the fuck?" Jack shouted, giving me a cold glare.

"Oh my god!" Kate gasped, "Are you having erotic thoughts about Hazel?" She asked, making Jack's eyes widen in fear.

"Of course not, baby. Why would I think about any other girl when I have you?" He asked leaning closer to her. She smiled at him before kissing him.

"You guys are so cringe." I said as I grimaced at them, but deep down inside, I couldn't help but think about Blake.

As I sat there watching the happy couple in misery while thinking about all the things I could've had if Blake actually loved me back, the doorbell rang.

Hazel's head popped out from the closet with her eyes bulging out of their sockets. "Oh my god! I haven't even started with my hair yet."

The next thing I know, she is running around, screaming "hair straightener" while carrying a curler in her hand.

"Hazel, stop!" I shouted, "I'll get the door and stall Luke. I need to get away from these two before they start having sex in front of me." I said, looking at Jack who grinned at me while Kate hid her face in a pillow.

Hazel calmed down and nodded. I walked downstairs and as soon as I opened the door, I was pushed aside and in entered Asher.

"Asher, what the fuck are you doing here?" I asked.

"Can't I visit my girlfriend?" He asked casually, "Speaking of my beautiful girlfriend, where is she?"

"You can't see her now. She's going on a date with Luke tonight."

"Oh, that was today?" He asked with a faux spirit of inquiry, "I completely forgot about that."

"I know you didn't, Asher. If you're here to talk her out of it, you can't. She's really excited for this."

His face fell upon hearing that, but he quickly regained his composure.

"I'm still not leaving." He grumbled.

"Fine, you can stay. But no funny business." I said and he nodded before taking a seat on the couch.

"So, can I see her now?" He asked.

"Nope, she's still getting ready."

"Why is she even dressing up so much? She does not have to impress another guy when she already has a boyfriend."

"Asher, she's going on a date with Luke. She would want to impress him and you should accept that, whether you like it or not."

"I don't like it." He said blankly.

"This open relationship was your idea." I reminded him, making him grumble "whatever".

A few minutes later, Hazel walked down the stairs wearing a huge smile on her face, followed by Jack and Kate.

"You look gorgeous!" I squealed as she twirled around in her salmon pink backless dress that lingered a few inches above her knees.

"Thank you!" She grinned at me before turning her attention to Asher who stared at her with his mouth wide open.

"Where is Luke and what is he doing here?" She asked with a frown.

"Luke's not here yet and Asher's just here to be a cockblock." I replied.

Asher closed his agape mouth and cleared his throat, "That's very accurate actually." He agreed honestly. "And as your personal cockblock, I'm going to have to disapprove with that dress."

"And why would I want your approval?" She asked.

"Because I'm your boyfriend." He answered.

"Well, you don't ask me approval of all the girls you sleep with." She retorted.

"Do you really want to stay here for this fight?" Kate whispered to me as Asher and Hazel continued with their bickering.

"Nope, let's go to the kitchen." I suggested and we quietly left the room with Jack following behind us.

"So, Cole?" Kate asked leaning on a counter.

"What about Cole?"

"Don't play dumb, Addy. I need details." She grinned.

"Sometimes you two forget that there's a guy in the room." Jack said wry look on his face, "I really don't want to hear about Addy having sex with Cole."

"Oh god no!" I exclaimed, "I did not have sex with Cole. You might have also heard that Blake interrupted us."

"Oh yeah, we heard those rumors." Kate said with a sympathetic look on her face. "Those bitches have nothing better than to spread lies."

"You know, maybe it's a good thing that people think Blake and I broke up. We've been treated as a couple since the beginning of high school and that's really weird."

"Actually, there are new rumors now." Jack said, "People say that you seduced Blake into forgiving you at the back of the class. So according to them, you guys are back together."

I groaned and buried my head in my hands as it rested on the kitchen counter.

I brought my head back up as I noticed the silence in the room.

"Why is it so quiet?" I asked, "Didn't we leave to blockheads to shout at each other?"

"Maybe Hazel finally taped his mouth up." Kate said.

"Or Asher shoved his dick up her throat." Jack grinned, making Kate and I give him pointed looks.

"Let's go check." I said and walked out of the kitchen only to see Hazel and Asher making out in the middle of the living room.

"Hazel!" Kate shrieked making Hazel jump away from Asher.

"Now who's the cockblock?" Asher asked, giving Kate a scowl.

She glared at him before turning to Hazel, "My cousin has a whole date planned for you. And you do this?" She shouted, pointing between Hazel and Asher.

"I'm sorry." Hazel spoke with a low voice.

"Go to your room now." Kate ordered, "You'll only be coming down once Luke's here."

Hazel nodded and went upstairs, making Asher pout.

"You're so mean!" He grumbled to Kate who just rolled her eyes at him.

I spent the next few minutes with a grumpy Asher and a mushy Jack and Kate until the doorbell rang.

Asher rushed to the door making the rest of our eyes widen.

Hazel came running down the stairs and all of us dashed towards the door before Asher could mess anything up.

"I want her home by eight." I heard Asher speak.

"But that's fifteen minutes from now." Luke pointed out.

"So?" Asher asked.

Hazel pushed Asher out of the way and stepped next to Luke.

"I'll have her home by eleven." Luke suggested.

Asher gasped, "Eleven? What the hell are you planning to do till eleven?"

"Asher, it's a date." I told him.

"I'll come home whenever I want." Hazel said, "You're not my father to decide anything."

"No, but I'm your boyfriend." He reasoned.

"You don't have to keep reminding me that." Hazel said.

"Sometimes you forget." He fought.

"Sometimes you forget that this is an open relationship." She retorted.

"Maybe we should take you back inside." Jack suggested as he pulled Asher by the arm.

"Luke, remember; she has a boyfriend who won't think twice before kneeing you in your balls." Asher warned before leaving the door with Jack.

I chuckled and shook my head, "You guys have fun." I told Luke and Hazel.

"But not too much fun." Asher shouted from inside the house, making us roll our eyes.

After Hazel and Luke left, I closed the door and walked into the living room.

"Now what?" Kate asked.

"We need to wait till her parents get home so that we could give them the keys." I replied.

"No, we have to wait till she gets back." Asher said.

"Dude, we don't know if she's coming back home tonight." Jack said, making Asher's eyes widen.

Kate did a face palm, "I really need to teach you how to shut up."

Asher's phone rang and he grumbled something under his breath before taking the phone out of his pocket and answering.

After a few second of listening to it, he stretched his hand towards me. "It's for you."

I frowned and took it before placing it to my ear.

"Lynne, talk to m–"

I hung up and returned Asher's phone back. 

He will not be enjoying my company after ditching me for that bitch.
