Soyoung's POV

It was evening and I sat at the lake pavilion watching the calm lake. I still remember how my father used to take me to the riverside to enjoy the cool breeze. I sighed and wiped the tears.

"Crying alone again?"

I turned around and saw Yunki. "You always seem to find me when I am crying..." I smiled as he came and sat beside me.

He took a deep breath and looked at the lake, "It is so calm..."

I got up ready to leave, "We shouldn't meet in private-"

He grabbed my hand and pulled me on his lap, "Sit back down!" He said.

I gasped and looked around, "Yunki, someone might see us..."

"If you keep moving like that then someone will definitely see us!" He said and tucked my locks behind my ear before continuing, "We are not in private, my love...there are so many trees and plants here..."

I narrowed my eyes at him, "What do you want?"

"You!"

I blushed, "Yunki!!!"

Yunki gently grabbed my chin and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him back.

"Your Majesty...where are you?" Suddenly I heard the maids. As I was about the get up, he tightened his grip around me.

"Yunki...let me go please?" I pleaded.

"Not a chance!" He pulled me even closer to him and covered me with his cape, "No one can see you..."

I looked into his eyes and smiled, "You have changed so much since we met..."

He raised his brow at me, "Like how?"

"Like you were rude to me when we met but now you're really affectionate...I like this version of you..." I hugged him and rested my head on his chest.

"Is that an insult or a compliment?" He asked while brushing his hand through my hair.

"That's a compliment, silly," I giggled and broke the hug.

Yunki grabbed my chin again and pulled my face up to meet his eyes, he brushed his thumb on my lips gently and asked, "I was thinking...what if we use the spiritual stone to bring back Lord Seo to life"

My eyes twinkled as I grabbed his hand, "YES, YUNKI! LET'S DO THAT!"

"Let's sneak out..." He winked.

3rd person POV

"Where are we going?" Eunsang asked.

"To meet my kitty..." Sian said.

Eunsang gasped, "I don't want to meet your tiger..."

"Is my puppy scared?" Sian smirked.

"Yes...I don't want to meet that tiger..." Eunsang grabbed a pillar and refused to go.

Sian grabbed his waist and tried to pull him, "Stop behaving like a baby...you know how well-behaved kitty she is. Besides, I'll be there with you...why are you afraid?"

"NO, NO NO...NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY...I AM NOT GOING TO MEET THAT SCARY TIGER!" Eunsang cried.

"Fine! Then I will go alone!" Sian released him and walked forward, but then suddenly tripped and fell, "Ahh~~"

Eunsang gasped and ran to Sian, "My king, are you alright?"

Sian grabbed his arm and smirked, "Got you!" He picked him up in bridal style and said, "Now you're coming with me!"

Eunsang struggled to set himself free, "N-NO THIS IS CHEATING....."

Sian laughed and carried him to the tiger's cave. As soon as they reached the tiger's cave, Eunsang wrapped his arms tightly around Sian and buried his face in his chest. Sian carried him towards the tiger and put him down on the tiger's back. Taking the tiger's leash in his hand, he said, "Let's go for a walk, kitty!"

"I-I...I am scared..." Eunsang said.

Sian held his free hand out for Eunsang, "Hold my hand if you're scared..."

Eunsang quickly grabbed his hand and shut his eyes. Sian giggled and guided the tiger out into the arena with the leash. The arena was absolutely empty...there were no guards due to Sian's orders.

"Eun, you can open your eyes and look around, you know?" Sian said. Eunsang slowly opened his eyes and saw the arena filled with beautiful torches and flowers. It looked like heaven...as if thousands of stars were twinkling as the smell of beautiful flowers filled the arena. No one would believe that this is the place where Sian's tiger had eaten up thousands of women during the queen selection process.

"How do you like it?" Sian asked.

"I-it's a very weird way to take someone out on a date..." Eunsang said.

"Ahem!" Sian cleared his throat, getting a bit flustered.

"But I like it..." Eunsang giggled and looked around in awe, "So beautiful....it feels like heaven...I never thought someone would ever do it for me..."

Sian looked at his smiling face and smiled as well, "Just for you..."

As Eunsang bent down to kiss him, Sian pulled out his dagger and threw it towards their left making Eunsang flinch.

"Too many people are spying on us these days..." Sian said and walked towards the way where he threw his dagger.

At Mount Ether, Soyoung and Yunki sat near Lord Seo's grave and tried to figure out how to activate the spiritual stone.

"It needs equal Yin and Yang energy to active it..." Soyoung said.

"Let us both hold this necklace together and focus our minds on our motive..." Yunki suggested.

"Good idea!" Soyoung nodded and they both held the necklace and focused their mind on bringing back Lord Seo to life.

On the other hand, Master Lee was returning with Donghyung...

"Do you like the berries, my child?" Master Lee asked Donghyung.

"I like..." He said while eating the blueberries Master Lee gave him.

That's when a sudden thunder fell on Mount Ether and Master Lee noticed that the mountain was surrounded by dark clouds.

Donghyung grabbed Master Lee's leg in fear. Master Lee picked up the child in his arms and started levitating.

Donghyung gasped, "We flying..."

Back in the palace, Sian noticed that too and smirked, "Looks like someone is trying to activate the spiritual stone..." He looked at the person in the shadows who he caught spying and said, "I am giving you a chance to make it up to me...go and bring me the spiritual stone!"

The figure bowed and jumped up out of the arena with an inhuman speed.

On the other hand, the other knights, who were working inside the imperial hall, heard the sudden sound of thunder too and came out to check.

"Is it going to rain in this season?" Hosung raised a brow.

"I don't see any clouds..." Jimin looked up.

"All the clouds are surrounding Mount Ether..." Namjun pointed towards Mount Ether.

That's when Master Lee jumped in front of them with Donghyung.

"Woah...where did you come from, master?" Jeongguk asked

"Take this boy...I have work to do..." Master Lee gave Donghyung to Jin and then jumped up on the terrace of the imperial hall.

"That old man still has so much stamina..." Taehyun admired

Master Lee went straight to Mount Ether and snatched the necklace from Yunki and Soyoung.

Both of them snapped open their eyes and were surprised to see Master Lee. Before they could say anything, Master Lee grabbed both of them and ran away from there as soon as he could.

"Why are we running?" Yunki asked.

"Why did you stop us, Master?" Soyoung asked.

They ran deep inside the mountain where everything was so dark that they couldn't even see each other's faces. The master cast a spell and a light blue smoke surrounded them and then vanished.

"This will block our scent and aura for a good amount of time!" Master Lee finally opened his mouth.

"Why though?" Yunki asked.

Master Lee glared at both of them, "Have you both gone mad? The spiritual stone should only be activated if you have equal yin and yang energies otherwise it will destroy you..."

"But I am not human!" Soyoung said.

Master Lee hit both Soyoung and Yunki's forehead

"Ahh..." They both rubbed their foreheads as Master Lee continued.

"Unless and until you are God Himself or the demon king, everyone needs equal yin and yang energies to activate that stone. God and the devil king are the ultimate sources of energies...be they positive or negative...that's why they can probably snap their fingers and this little thing will be activated. Have you seen how dark energy has surrounded the mountain? What were you both even trying to do?" Master Lee frowned.

"We...uh...we were trying to bring father back to life!" Soyoung said.

Master Lee gasped and proceeded to hit her forehead again but Yunki stopped him and said, "It is all my fault, master...I gave her the idea-OUCH!" Master Lee hit him on the forehead.

"BRINGING THE DEAD BACK TO LIFE?! DO YOU KNOW HOW SERIOUS THAT IS??!!!! DON'T EVER TRY THAT AGAIN...." He scolded them, "YOU BOTH WOULD HAVE PROBABLY ENDED UP SUMMONING THE DARK LORD!!!!!!"

Soyoung looked at the dark smoke surrounding the mountain and recalled that she saw similar smoke around Sian when they were agreeing upon the pact. "Master, can you put a curse on something or someone?" She asked.

"Cursing is part of dark energy...I don't cultivate that!" Master Lee said and Soyoung's eyes widened.

"How long are we going to stay here?" Yunki asked.

"Till that creature goes away," Master Lee pointed at a distance. Both of them squinted their eyes and saw a lean figure at a distance looking at something. After some time, the creature jumped out of their view at an inhuman speed.

"What is that?" Yunki asked.

"Don't know...but a supernatural being," Master Lee said.

"I thought mother would come out now at this moment..." Soyoung sighed.

"I don't think the guardian of this mountain is dwelling here anymore..." Master Lee said, "Anyway, we have to hide this stone in a better place...Sian must have noticed tonight's events as well and he would do anything to get it...you all need to be more careful!" Master Lee said.
