Chapter Eight
Ciel's POV
Juliette falls limp after receiving the kick to the face. I growl.
"Sebastian, this is an order. Get this bloody bastard out of my house." Sebastian bows.
"Yes my Lord." In a flash, Sebastian is off and all I see is a blur of bodies. I crawl over to Juliette and drag her away from the fight. I examine her state. She is bruised and bloodied. Her right leg is facing the wrong way. Her brown hair is matted from the gash on her forehead.
"Juliette, my poor Juliette," I whisper and stroke the hair out of her face.
Juliette' s POV
I feel a rag press against my head. I open my eyes slowly. I sit up very fast, but I am pushed down by a gentle hand.
"No, No let me go. Please, father!" I scream. I hold my hands in front of my face.
"Calm down, it is me." I look up at Ciel. He has a worried look on his face.
"Ciel..." I fall into him and sob. He holds me close and strokes my hair. I pull away and look up at him. Even sitting he is a head taller than me. He has a bruise on his cheek and a gash on his neck. "I am so so sorry Ciel!" I gently touch his not bruised cheek.
"Oh Juliette, it isn't your fault at all." He holds me close. "I thought you had died. It looked like you were taking a bath in blood. I was scared to lose you."
"I need to fight him, Ciel. That can't happen again," I say.
"First, you need to heal." Ciel moves to leave.
"Ciel, don't leave me." I hold his hand. "Don't leave me alone." He chuckles and plants a kiss on my head. I blush bright red.
"I am just grabbing more pillows for you to sit up." He walks across the room and grabs three pillows, and places them behind my head.
"Thank you," I say. I grab his hand and kiss his palm. He leans down and kisses my lips softly. I kiss him back.
"M'Lord, is Juliette," Sebastian walked in."Oh am I interrupting something?" I feel my face go as red as a tomato. Ciel, on the other hand, looked indifferent.
"No, Sebastian, come in." He walks in gracefully, smirking.
"Lady Juliette seems to be better."
"Just Juliette Sebastian." I sit up and stretch my arms. "Can I stand?"
"You have a broken leg," Ciel says. "It will take a while to heal."
"Which leg did I break?"
"The good one." I sigh. Now I can't walk.
"I have brought ointment and I shall wrap your leg again." Sebastian crouches beside the sofa. I am in the living room almost completely covered in bandages. Sebastian takes off the tissue. Ciel holds my hand as Sebastian applies the ointment. I squeeze his hand and try not to scream. I feel my leg being wrapped and my body sags in relief. Ciel brushes tears away I had not realized had fallen. I sigh.
"Ciel, how long have I been out?" A look of pain flashes through his eyes but quickly disappears.
"One week," he says. I gasp. That long?
"Oh Ciel," I whisper and pull him close. I didn't realize the toll it took on him. "I am so selfish for hurting you." He chuckles and puts his hand on my cheek.
"Silly girl I..." Something crashes through the window and I scream.
