Have you ever had your body wake up but your eyes stayed glued together.

Well that pretty much what happened today.

The sun was filtering through the balcony and I could tell it was morning but all I wanted to do in burrow more into my blankets and stay there.

"Good morning miss" I hear a cheerful Lily chirp.

Apparently she didn't appreciate the groan I gave her so she ripped my soft wonderful blanket off my body.

"Gods Lily what was that for, it's freezing." I shout jumping out of bed.

"Well we don't want you to be late for breakfast" Bella says smoothing a dress over her arm.

Michelle has drawn me a bath with lavender sent.

I take my nice sweet time lathering my hair in lemon shampoo.

Once out the girls go through a routine of getting me ready.

Reaching the dinning hall I take my seat next to Piper and start eating my food listening in on conversations going on around me.

"My maids are the best in the whole world they made me a dress of champagne pink for the ball tonight." Selina says with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Lucky you" Catherine sneers "my maids made me a dress that goes totally against my complexion."

I roll my eyes and continue to eat blocking out the useless chatter until Queen Sally stands.

"I would like to make an announcement. The winners of the festival booth will receive a golden laurel that they must wear for tonight's ball."

The girls around me pick up in excited whispers.

With a raise of her hand everyone quiets down.

"The winners are Lady Annabeth Chase from Athens and Lady Piper McLean from Skopelos."

Piper and I look at each other shocked and happy.

"Come up girls" Sally says giving us a sweet and tender smile.

Once we approach and are crowned I see all the evil and jealous glares the girls cast our way.

We sit back down and return to eating until breakfast is over.

"I can't believe we won" Piper squeals as we head back to our rooms.

"I knew you would, you booths where the best in the whole festival." Selina says smiling and walking with us.

"I'm just excited for the ball." Piper continues once we reach our rooms.

"I agree. It will be interesting since it is custom for there to be a huge feast and then the ball." I saw leaning against the wall reciting what I knew.

"I'll see you guys later." Selina says flashing a smile before turning around and heading back down the hall.

"Same here. I have letters to write to my dad." Piper says before entering her room.

Quiet as a mouse I sneak into my room not wanting to disturb the girls and grab my book.

I head down to the library and exchange pleasantries with Chiron before heading to the corner and reading.

A few hours pass and I decide to grab a quick snack.

I enter the kitchen and immediately am filled with the most wonderful sents in the world.

I see the kitchen staff are working on the dinner and baking the desserts.

I grab an apple and rush out in hopes of not getting in their way before deciding to explore the palace some more.

I walk down the familiar hallways that hold a good portion of my childhood memories.

Munching on my apple I remember the time Bianca, Crystal, and Thalia wanted to go sledding but since there was no snow they had the guards drag a ton of mattresses to the grand staircase and lined them up.

For the rest of the afternoon all the royals and I took turns going down the "hill" until our parents found us.

It was a big surprise they didn't scold us on the dangers but and even bigger surprise when King Poseidon and Queens Sally went down it together riding it like a surfboard.

Breaking out of my daze I smile and continue to roam around the palace until it was almost 4 o'clock.

I head back to my room and almost got knocked to the floor by my maids who then corralled me into the room.

I was put into a dress and heel before being sat down at the vanity and worked on.

For what felt like hours my haired was curled and twisted and rugged until finally they pinned the last bobby pin in and squealed at their good work.

I stared in aw at the person looking back at me.

The dress was absolutely gorgeous and my style.

I turned and gave each of the girls a hug, their talents never stopping to amaze me.

"Now you better go miss the dinner starts very soon."

I playfully glare at her choice of words and leave with a grateful smile.

I reach the dinning hall a few minutes early and luckily find two empty seats next to Selina.

I place a napping on the one next to mine saving it for Piper and turn to the conversation going on at my table.

"I'm nervous about the elimination tomorrow" Nyssa says.

"Agreed we have no idea who the prince's are going to chose and." Kayla says leaning forward.

Piper lifts the napkin off her seat shooting me a grateful look before oh so gracefully plopping down on the seat.

"How about we forget the elimination tomorrow and enjoy tonight." Selina says in a happy way.

"Ya let's discuss how evil these heels are and how I would trade anything for a pair of flats right now." Piper groans.

We all laugh but stop once we hear the clinking of a cup.

"Thank you all for attending our Feasts of Giving celebration." King Paul says to everyone "I hope you all have an excellent evening and enjoy the food."

With that the doors open and servers come pouring out carrying trays and platters of food leaving it on the buffet table.

They had everything from turkeys and hams to mashed yams and cranberry sauce.

It was all to wonderful and delicious. The sent was heavenly and made the food taste so much better.

Once everyone was content and full from there second or third plate the dishes where cleared and all the guests headed to the ball room.

The musicians started up the music and everyone found a partner.

The night progressed with music and laughter.

I danced with Jason, Frank, Leo, the Stolls and some guards.

Piper, Selina and I did a three way dance in the middle of the ballroom stumbling and laughing as Piper cursed her heels.

Towards the end of the night a slow song came on and I felt a tap on the shoulder.

Turning around I came face to face with the one and only Percy Jackson.

"May I have this dance Lady Wise girl." He said with a cheeky smile.

"Why of course Prince Seaweed Brain."

We danced to the song with him tripping and steeping on my feet.

"Ow Percy are you trying to break my toes so I can't walk."

His face was red with embarrassment and gave me a cool glare.

"If your feet are broken then I guess I'll have to carry you everywhere my dear Bethy."

This made my face heat up which I quickly covered with a laugh.

"Very funny." I tell him pursing my lips in an unexpressed manner.

"Who said I was joking" he said winking at me.

I slapped him lightly in a playful manner as the song died down.

Percy flashed me one more smile before heading over to his family.

The rest of the night progressed and I ate a slice of apple and pumpkin pie with a small bowl of ice cream. Hey dessert is amazing don't judge.

By the end of the night the most of the guest had left.

I went to my room with followed by most of the other girls.

I quickly changed out of my dress into a soft night gown and undid my hair brushing it out leaving it in a wave mess.

I groaned and headed to the bed laying down.

Snuggling into the warmth of my blanket I let the darkness consume me and headed for a land of dreams.
