Sakura gasped and her green eyes flew open. Piles of blankets were stacked on her body but regardless of this fact, she was still shivering and her teeth were still chattering. Not as violently as before, but she couldn't feel her fingers–or arms for that fact–she was so cold. Through her shivering, she could vaguely feel the throb of her neck, back, and shoulders. She had obviously broken quite a few things, things that had been neatly healed back together. The ache she was feeling was from an extensive healing session performed to her.
She sat up tenderly, the covers sliding off her chest to her waist, and she looked around the room. She seemed to be in a small cottage, with only one room. The kitchen was near the door, and the bed she was sitting in was in the far corner. On the couch near the middle of the room lay a young man–a little on the scrawny side–with wild brown hair, fast asleep.
She looked to the side and found her mask, along with her pouches, on the bedside table. She sighed. There was no point in putting it on now.
Bandages were wrapped up and down her arms and she lifted her shirt to reveal bandaging on her torso and chest too. A light blush dusted her cheeks. She had never before considered the particular perks of being a male medic, not that there was much to see when treating her.
A groan and yawn, as well as the stirring of chakra, alerted Sakura that the man was awaking. She watched silently as his soft brown eyes blinked up and he reached for a pair of thick rimmed glasses that were sitting on the floor beside the couch. His eyes widened when he noticed her.
"Oh! Uh. Ms. Blossom! You're awake." He stood up quickly, fruitlessly trying to fix up his hair. "I'm sorry, I was walking in the woods when you fell from a tree. And you were shivering so badly, I couldn't just leave you there. I mean, um, I mean no harm!" He pushed out quickly and nervously.
Sakura regarded him silently with a tinge of interest. The poor man was terrified of her.
"You are, um, free to leave if you want. Or stay. Whatever suits you best, Ms. Blossom." He fidgeted with the hem of his worn green shirt. "I know a bit of, um, a bit of medical jutsu, and I tried my best to do what I could and–"
"I'm impressed."
His nervous rant screeched to a halt at her words. "You, you what?"
Sakura tilted her head from side to side, testing the joints. "You did a good job. Patched up my spine real good, and my neck is fully functional. Oh! And you made sure my organs weren't obstructed by any broken ribs or other bones, smart move. You missed my shoulder though, there seems to be a fracture there. A bit patchy, but good nonetheless. I'm impressed." She released a bit of her yin seal, the designs crawling down her cheeks, allowing her chakra to fix up anything he had missed.
The chakra warmed her slightly, but once she closed off her seal a particularly large shiver shuddered through her. She rubbed her hands up and down her arms, lying back down and pulling up the covers. "Now, where can a girl get something hot to eat?"
Double updaaaaate~! :D
