Sakura grinned at Naoki's shocked expression. He had opened the door only to find his younger brother, whom he hadn't seen in nearly twenty years, standing on his porch with a blonde woman beside him, two blue eyed children, and Sakura. Tears glistened in his eyes.
"Hey." Rui nodded.
"H-hey." Naoki replied, still shocked. His wife, Momoi appeared in the door way behind him. Her shiny black hair fell in curls down her shoulders and bangs framed her soft brown eyes, she was, to say the least, stunning. Katos seemed to have very good luck with woman, considering Lihn and Momoi.
Momoi gasped, her hands flying to her mouth. "Rui?!"
"Hey Momoi. How've you been?" Rui was being super calm about this whole meeting the family after twenty years thing.
"S-Sakura." Naoki turned to the pink haired kunoichi. "T-thank you s-so mu-much." His voice dissolved on sobs. Tears leaking down his face.
"You're just as lame as ever." Rui cracked a smile, his eyes filled with tears too, as he pulled his older brother into a hug. Momoi joined the hug, also crying.
Sakura stepped between Wylie and Celia, and wrapped her arms around their mid sections, pulling them into her. They grinned at each other and watched the scene unfold.
"Ma? Pa? What happened?" A voice came from behind the ajar door. A young girl, looking to be around fifteen, stepped through. She looked exactly like Naoki, except for the curly hair, which she obviously got from her mom. "Who's that?" Her eyebrows pulled down in a confused frown.
"Mina, take your cousins to get all of your uncles and their families." Momoi instructed, pulling away from the two brothers and swiping a hand across her eyes. "We're throwing a party tonight. Oh, and invite grandpa too."
Rui didn't seem to notice the last part as he pulled away from his brother once Naoki had calmed down. "Naoki, Momoi, this is Lihn, my wife, and these are Wylie and Celia, our kids."
"This is our daughter, Mina." Naoki gestured toward the shell shocked teen. "Run along Mina, get to know your cousins while we invite Lihn, Rui, and Sakura in for some tea."
That night, Naoki and Momoi's house was filled with teary eyed Kato's and their confused children. Rui cried quite a few times throughout the night, but not without a weary smile on his face as he hugged his siblings. He had three older brothers, all of which had wives that Rui had been close friends with even before he had left, and children whom Rui was ecstatic to meet.
Rui was the youngest of the four brothers, and Naoki was the third child, the one closest to Rui in age and heart. Then there was Shin, the second child, and Kaizo, the eldest.
They were a good ways through the delicious dinner that Lihn and Momoi had prepared for them when Sakura noticed a chakra signature standing in front of the door, not moving. They seemed to be mentally preparing themselves because about a minute afterward, a knock sounded throughout the house.
Mina excused herself to get the door and Sakura followed her, silently drifting through the hallway after teen. Mina opened the door to reveal a old man with a shock of white hair on his head. He was tall and his back was perfectly straight despite his age, but he put a lot of his weight on the cane in his right hand, Sakura noticed. His icy blue eyes were wise but one of the sharpest pair she had ever seen.
He stepped though the door frame, "Hello Mina," he hung up his jacket in the coat rack before extending his hand in Sakura's direction. "Raiakan Kato."
Sakura accepted the hand shake and returned it firmly. "Sakura Haruno."
His eyes widened by a fraction, "So you're the one who claims to be my son's 'sister', and the one who brought him back."
Sakura nodded, "And you're his father."
"So. My son? Where is he?" He turned back to Mina.
She gestured down the hall and began to walk in that direction, "Uncle Rui's in the dining room, grandfather."
Sakura drifted soundlessly behind the two and watched as Raiakan froze at the sight of the back of Rui's head.
"Rui."
Sakura's brother whipped around, dropping his fork. "Dad."
