Sakura punched though multiple 'tree monster things' (a nickname she had dubbed them with to match the 'giant ten tailed tree thing'), jumping into the air, and punching downward completely destroying them.
She looked up and smirked. "Now, where did you two come from?" She shifted her weight to one side, staring up at the unusually large monsters, before delivering two short but powerful punches to each of their guts.
Sakura glanced over shoulder and tossed a cat-like grin in Naruto and Sasuke's direction.
Sasuke stared at his former teammate, trying to hide his surprise at her strength.
"She's amazing isn't she?" Naruto slashed though a creature coming towards them.
Sasuke nodded mutely.
"And get this, remember that lady that nearly made Kakashi-sensei pee his pants?" Naruto grinned as Sasuke took down a particularly ugly one. "The famed Queen of Masks? Yah, that was Sakura's master."
Sasuke tried to focus on the battle at hand, but Sakura's strength intrigued him more then he would like to admit.
"That Rui guy, Sakura's best friend/brother/closest person to Sakura currently alive," Sasuke detected a hint of jealousy in Naruto's voice, "told me that Sakura started training with her during those chunin exams when Orochimaru attacked, and she didn't tell anyone because the Queen said it would put her and the village in danger if she did!" Naruto babbled on and on. "Thats why she kept missing all those team practices. In fact, I don't think she came to a single one of them."
Sasuke narrowed his eyes, glaring at Sakura's back. Had she been strong this whole time and was faking being weak? It seemed so.
He watched her as she took down ten other creatures with one punch, making them flying into each other. Sakura jumped around the battle field, laughing as if this was an amusement park. The bigger the creature, the better.
He watched her as a grin slid onto her face as she tried to come up with new ways to bash her enemies' heads in. She looked like a small child in a candy store.
"WHOOOOHOOOO!"
Nope, she looked like a child in world made of candy.
Sorry for the short chapter, which only came to 342 words instead of the promised 400 minimum, but my life's been a bit busy lately and I'm sleepy and about to go the bed right now... Truthfully, I am currently not functioning properly. I'm one of those people who if I don't get enough sleep, I look like a zombie the next morning.
....
In other words, I look like a zombie everyday.
However, I've had a particularly stressful week, with a piano exam coming up in two days, and I am defiantly not prepared.
Anyways, this note is not for me to rant on and on about how much I hate exams (piano exams especially), so I'll save that for another day. I just wanted to say that I might not be updating in a while for two reasons:
1. I kinda just want to sit there and do absolutely nothing after I'm finished my exam.
2. Number one will must likely not be happening, because in order to continue this fanfic, I will first have to refresh my memory on what exactly happens during the war, due to the fact that it's been nearly a year since I finished watching Naruto. So, instead of sitting there and doing absolutely nothing, I'll have to sit there and watch anime. Huff. Isn't life so unfair?
Hope you guys have a wonderful day- er- night... (It's currently 10:21 pm)
Peace!
