Bomb Threats

MUMBAI For the past seven days or so, The Mumbai Police Service has been kept busy by a steady barrage of calls, e-mails, notes and various other methods of notification, all notifying them about bombs placed in different parts of the city.

While the mainstream media chooses to ignore this information, our staff have run a thorough investigation of the matter and we are forced to conclude that there may be some truth to this.

It began on the seventeenth, with an anonymous tip-off claiming that bomb had been placed around St. Xavier's College reaching the desks of Mumbai Police. A couple of constables were sent to investigate and came back carrying a small package of RDX with a detonator. We are told by an anonymous source that several other bombs had been planted, with warning notes sent to the police a few hours before detonation.

The constant traffic blocks, detours and tightened security you found today was all because of the search for these explosives.

Our contact, an anonymous member of the police force has told us that this information was withheld for the safety and comfort of the public.

But we warn you, careful reader. Stay vigilant.It might even be best to stay away from public areas till further notice.
