Prologue
The Prince slumped in his chair as the Queen droned on and on about his responsibilities. He wasn't ready to take the Kingdom in his Father's absence. He hadn't even gotten married yet.
"After your coronation, I implore you to take up the old tradition of the Queen Election," The Queen said. "It's the only thing we can do to save the kingdom."
The Prince looked up at his mother, "If you had let me out of the castle more, I could have met someone." He retorted.
The Queen shot a stern look at the Prince, and continued her lesson. The Prince looked out the window to see his crumbling kingdom.
I need to find someone who loves this kingdom just like I do... before it's too late. I'll do anything.
