Vivi's POV

"So, do you think they'll like me?" Jay asked.

Currently, we're on our way to the small village I grew up in, and Jay is bombarding me with useless questions.

Y'know, the usual.

"I'm sure they'll love you." I reassured him, shooting him a smile. "Your funny, kinda smart, good at fighting, and you've got a kind heart. Just try not to be annoying."

"Kinda smart? Annoying? Wow, thanks for the support sis," Jay grumbled, earning a laugh from me.

"No problem," I responded, as we landed on my homeland. Ignacia.

"Where is this place? I mean, what's it called?" Jay questioned, as our dragons disappeared.

"Ignacia," I responded, leading him down the path to my home. We used to live on a rice farm, but later turned it into a shelter for lost and injured animals. My dad works for this really big company, and so he's never really home, but I don't mind. I'm just happy having a dad.

Not everyone gets that luxury, be it an adoptive parent or biological.

Suddenly, Jay stopped moving.

I waited a few seconds, before finally deciding to confront him.

I turned around to face him. "What's wrong? My parents aren't that scary. In fact, they aren't the least bit scary." I said, lifting an eyebrow.

"No, I recognize this place!" Jay exclaimed, his face flashing with realization. "This is where Kai's parents used to live! They owned a blacksmiths place called Four Weapons!"

"Wait. Were his parents called Ray and Maya?"I asked, my eyes mine in shock.

"I don't remember. Let's ask when we get back." Jay suggested, as we walked the rest of the way to my house.

Soon, we were standing at the foot of my doorstep.

"I can't believe I'm gonna barely get to see them after this." I whispered.

"Don't worry! You can visit them. I visit my parents all the time! Well...I try? Heh," Jay shrugged.

"Yeah. It just feels wrong. I mean, they took me in, even when I wasn't their own child. Now I'm leaving them."

Jay put a comforting hand on my shoulder. "You're not leaving them, you're protecting them. And the rest of Ninjago. We need you."

"Thanks Jay," I smile, looking up at him.

"No problem."

I opened the door, as the familiar scent of dogs and roses greeted me. The smell was comforting, as weird as it sounds.

"Hello? Mom? I'm back!" I called out, walking into my home. Jay followed, closing the door behind him.

"Hello Vivian! Your home? Where have you been?" My mom asked, walking to the front of the house. A tiny white dog was snuggled between her arms, while my mother stroked it.

"I went out to find Jay... and I found him! He's right behind me!" I sang, lightly shoving jay to where he was in front of me.

"H-hi...heh" He stuttered. I mentally facepalmed.

The house looked exactly the same as before. It's small, more of a big hut really. Our former cropland in the back was now fully transformed into a dog shelter. It wasn't fully completed before. The same slightly dusty pictures were hung on the wall, of me when I was just a little kid. I smiled, looking at my wide lopsided grins. Jay has them too, so I guess it runs in the family.

"Who? That twin brother of yours?" My mom thought out loud.

"Yup...that's me!" Jay smiled.

"Oh! He's here! Well hello there, I'm Vivian mom, Janice. Nice to meet you" my mother greeted.

"Nice to meet you too," Jay responded.

"So...mom..." I started.

"Yes dear?"

"Uh...so how would you react if I told you I had an elemental power and I'm a Ninja by the way the second most powerful and I have to go live with Jay and his other ninja friends and save people and serve as the sidekick for the green ninja could potentially die?" I asked, tripping over my words. I looked down at my feet, awaiting her answer.

"Oh my," she whispered to the dog.

Okay then, talk it out with the canine, that's fine.

"Well. If it's for the well-being of Ninjago go for it" She smiled sweetly. "Make me and your dad proud."

"Thanks." I managed to squeak before squeezing her and the dog in a hug.

"You too," I said, opening the hug and inviting Jay in. He grinned, and obliged.

"Is dad here?" I asked, pulling out of the hug.

"No," my mom sighed. "Well, when will you be leaving?"

"Right now!" I exclaimed, rushing into my room to pack. Jay was right on my heels, but stopped by the doorframe.

"Whoa, your room is so cool!" He exclaimed.

My room was white, with a purple stripe running across the middle of the walls. I had a microphone in the corner, and a bunch of paper and pencils. My bed was nearly made, which was a bit unusual. The wooden floors and ceiling beams stayed the same, though I don't know how they could've changed. Pictures were hung in the wall, as well as purple butterfly cutouts I had made.

"Thanks," I waved, pondering what to pack.

"Just get your clothes, and anything else you absolutely need. Oh, and some stuff for free time, though we don't have much of that," Jay suggested, noting my confusion.

"Thanks," I said again. "You can hang out on my bed if you want."

My brother nodded, walking over and plopping on the clean lilac sheets. A dog followed, emerging from the entrance. This one was medium sized and black, with a brown and blue eye. It jumped onto the bed as well, tackling Jay in the process.

"Ack! AHHHHHHH SO CUTE!" Jay squealed, hugging the dog.

"Awwww, did Jay find a new best friend?" I chuckled, folding clothes into my unnecessarily large backpack. He shot me a look, but couldn't help chuckling back.

"So, tell me about you and Nya" I urged, wiggling my eyebrows.

"Oh yeah! She's so amazing" Jay sighed dreamily.

Wow, he's really into this girl huh?

"Anyway, we first met when the ninja and I had to save her from these skeletons. After that, we became great friends. " Jay explained. "We're both into building stuff and technology, so we bonded over that. I liked her since the day I laid eyes on her, and my crush was starting to get more and more obvious."

"Knowing you, I'm pretty sure it was obvious from the start." I pointed out.

"Oh come on! I'm not that bad! Plus, I've got killer jokes." He retorted.

"We'll see," I laughed. "Continue?"

"Right. So after the guys figured it out, they helped me. And by that, I mean totally made a fool out of me. I mean, they made me wear perfume! I thought it was cologne! SHE'S ALLERGIC TO PERFUME!!!" Jay yelled, and then cleared his throat. "Anyway, after that she told me she liked me just the way I am." A small smile formed on my brother's face.

"Awwww, that's so sweet," I smiled, still aggressively shoving stuff into my backpack. "Yeah, this isn't going to work. I need a whole suitcase. It's right under the bed, can you pull it out for me?"

"Sure" Jay obliged. He handed me the suitcase, which to his surprise wasn't purple. Instead, it was a pale yellow.

"Yellow?" He asked.

"Mhm" I nodded. "It was my favorite color before purple. Coincidentally, I got into purple after discovering my powers." I chuckled at the memory. "But anyway, keep going! I wanna hear about the date."

"Right! So after she said that, I immediately asked her out on a date. She said yes, and we went to Mega Monster amusement park. We ate there, and it was a blast. Though it would've been more fun if we weren't on a mission." Jay grumbled. "I got bitten by a serpentine and started turning into one. I didn't want Nya to see me like that, so I hid in the bathroom for a bit. After that a bunch of stuff happened-"

"How elaborate," I interrupted.

"Touché" My twin chuckled. "After the 'stuff' Nya and I were trapped on a speeding roller coaster, and we were headed straight for a broken track. She kissed me on the cheek, and cured me. Then I unlocked my true potential and saved us."

"Wow, you go bro," I high-fived him.

"Now" he sighed. "The love triangle."

Love triangle? Oh yes please.

"Ooooo I smell drama. Please, do go on," I urged.

"So after the date and everything, we sorta started dating. It wasn't official, but she kissed me on the lips once." He started.

"Ahhhhh I totally ship you two!" I squealed. "I see it now: Jaya."

Jay chuckled, and continued. "Some kids convinced her to try out this matchmaker machine. It finds your perfect match, supposedly."

Yeah, kinda figured from the name Jay.

"But when she tried it, It said her perfect match was Cole. After that, she started to like him." Jay sighed. "She made a move on him, and Cole started liking her too. After that, it was like war. We totally forgot about our friendship, and focused all our energy on winning Nya. After you got here, he gave her up. Y'know, when he ran off?"

"Oh, yeah I remember," I nodded. "Sweet of him to let you have her."

"Yeah, it was..." Jay trailed off. "Come to think of it, he never gave me a solid reason. He just said she likes me better, but I don't think that's the real reason."

"Hmmm... Maybe he moved on? OH! What if he's a Jaya shipper too?" I exclaimed, shoving the last of my clothes into the suitcase.

Jay laughed, jumping off my bed. "Maybe."

I grabbed a framed picture of my family, and a wad of used paper and carefully added those in too.

"Lets go." I declared, heaving his suitcase up off the floor.

"Uh, can't you just use your mind power thingamakbober?" Jay pointed out.

"I could, but my brain's pretty tired from hauling that hooligan around." I scoffed at the memory of Chen. "Plus, I need to keep my muscles in shape too."

Jay nodded, and we were on our way. We had said goodbye to my mom, and Jay reluctantly let go of the dog. He probably took about a million pictures of it before we left. He actually named it Jaya, after the ship name I came up with.

We just landed by the bounty, hanging off the edge of it.

We released our dragons too soon.

I used my powers to float myself up, and then gave Jay a hand too.

"You know, I have no idea how we survived without your powers before."

"Ha, neither do I " I laughed.

"Here, I'll carry the suitcase for you," Jay offered, grabbing it from me.

"Thanks," I smiled, stretching my arms out.

We walked the rest of the way to the Bounty. The sun was setting, and the sky was painted a beautiful red-orange hue. It looked like pure fire, reminded me of Kai. I softly smiled, and held the door for my brother.

As we walked in, we were greeted by the rest of the gang.

"Yesss your back!" Lloyd cheered, along with the other ninja.

"Well you guys sure seemed to miss us." I joked.

"Sensei has been making us train all day. He promised to allow us stop when you two got back." Zane informed us.

"Ah, okay then" I laughed.

"So, I see you made Jay your personal butler for the day," Nya chuckled, pointing out Jay with my stuff.

"Well, what are siblings for?" I responded laughing again. Jay shot us a glare, but smiled anyway.

At that moment, Sensei Wu walked in.

"Hello Jay and Vivian," he nodded .

"Hey-" I started, but was cut off by my motermouthed brother.

"HEYA SENSEI" he yelled, a goofy smile plastered on his face.

Well, okay then.

We shot him a weird look, and turned back to Sensei.

"Vivian, here is your new Gi." Sensei said, handing me a nicely folded purple ninja Gi. It had a really cool symbol on the front, which resembled my purple dragon.

"Thanks Sensei." I replied, shooting him a smile. "Can I...?"

"Yes, you may unpack now."

"Okay, thanks! Come on slave, do my bidding" I sang, gesturing towards Jay.

"Really? This is what I get for being nice?" He groaned.

"Nope, it's what you get for being my brother. Now, onward!"

He groaned again, but being the great brother he is, picked up my stuff and came along. I followed Nya who led me to our room.

"Thanks for the help, Jay." I smiled.

"No problem." He smiled back, putting down the suitcase. "But I'm never doing that again."

"Fair enough," I laughed, as he exited the room.

"So this is our room?" I asked, looking around. It was a plain, white room, with a maroon and light blue bed in one corner. In front of it, there was a tool box, and a glove of some sort. On the opposite side stood a lilac bed. Other then that, it was barren.

"Yup." Nya answered. "We moved a bed in here for you when you were at your parents place. Anyway, make yourself at home."

"Thanks. It was really nice of you to let me stay in here with you" I smiled, unloading my stuff.

"No problem. Girls gotta stick together. It was getting pretty rough living in a flying ship full of crazy boys." Nya groaned.

Suddenly, the door bust open, with Kai at the doorstep.

"Vivi, tell me everything you know about my parents."
