Cole's POV

I guess I judged Kai too quickly.

I kinda feel bad. I had no idea how he felt, and I let my own emotions take over.

See, this is what happens when I go this long without cake.

"Sorry for being so insensitive." I apologized.

"Nah, it's okay." Kai said. "I mean, I am a hothead after all, I know what's it's like." He smirked.

Ah, his signature smirk. The one that got all the ladies.

I had rock hard abs and all I get are pastries. 😭 But I mean, I'm not complaining.

"Look, we'll figure this out later. No matter what, we don't fight. Brothers to the end, okay?"

Wow, that was unexpected. I was expecting more of a first one who gets her to kiss him gets her kinda thing, but this works too.

I smiled. "Yeah, okay."

Kai stood up from the rock we were sitting in, brushing the dirt off of his red gi. "Wanna head back now?"

"Nah, you go on. I need some time too calm down." I responded.

Nodding, he left. "Meet in my room on the island."

"Got it."

After I felt truly alone, I closed my eyes and tilted my chin up, exposing my neck to the cool evening breeze. I let out a breath of warm air.

"The breeze sure feels good, doesn't it?"

"AHH! WHAT TH- Vivi?" I asked, my eyes snapping open.

Oh my god. How long had she been here? She scared me so bad!

"The one and only." she replied, winking.

God, she was adorable. I felt my heart beat start to race. Taking in a shaky deep Breath, I attempted to slow it down. It somewhat worked.

I craned my neck to the left so I could face her. Her gorgeous eyes, staring up at the now starry night sky.

Her eyes were just so... different. Majestic. They were mysterious, they drew you in. Made me want to figure her out. Like a blue-purple fog, I got lost in them. A place where I could escape. Somewhere beautiful.

Suddenly, I found her eyes staring back at me. We both smiled, and laughed. I love it here. Being with her, I forget all my worries. I can let go. Be happy, free. I've only known her for a few hours, but I felt so alive with her.

"So, about what happened earlier..." I started, but was interrupted by Vivi casually shaking her head.

"It's okay, you don't have to explain. I've felt it too, that way you feel. All I ever wanted back then was someone I could trust and talk to. Someone who would accept me for who I am and wouldn't pressure me into anything. I want to be that someone for you, Cole. Just know you're never alone, okay?

I felt my eyes swell up with tears once again. "W-why are you so eager to help me?" I asked, stuttering like an idiot. "We just met a few hours ago."

"Because nobody else deserves to feel that pain. Especially not you." Looking straight into my jet black eyes, she continued. "Even though you think that you aren't cared about, you are, Cole. You don't have to talk about it now, or ever. Everyone has their own way of dealing with this kind of stuff, so you do you. Just know that if you ever feel alone, come to me. I'll always be there, okay?"

I couldn't help it anymore. I squeezed my eyes shut as a single tear trailed down my cheek. "I don't deserve how kind you've been" I whimpered. This girl, had the kindest and purest soul I had ever encountered before. Slowly but surely, she was cracking that rocky heart of mine, and filling it with something I had never felt before. Love.

"You deserve more than this." She whispered, pulling me into a hug. I laughed at how hard it was for her to wrap her arms around my bulky figure. I put my own strong arms around her to help. She felt so small, but so warm.

"You feel like a giant rock." She giggled.

"Well, I am the master of earth." I chuckled. I let her go from the hug, but kept her close.

She looked up as her face met mine. We were only a few inches away from each other. My face started heating up as my eyes traveled to her facial features. My arms were on the ground in fists behind her back, trapping her in the middle of a circle. A very handsome circle might I add.

I grinned and she grinned back as I leaned away, freeing her.

"Ready to head back?" She asked.

I beamed down at her. It's amazing how my life has changed so much in such a short time. She was finally getting me to open up. It was almost like I was the moon, and she was the stars themselves. She shone her light all around me, reminding my rocky self that I wasn't alone. She filled me with light, in a world of darkness.

"Ready."

Kai's POV.

It's been three hours now, and i'm getting worried. Everyone was.

I tried to make Cole feel better, I really did. I'm not the best with feelings and that mushy stuff, but I tried. I care about my friends, my brothers, and I wanna make them feel better. Everyone thinks of me as an ignorant, self centered player. But I'm more than that. At least, I wanna be.

Finally, I heard a knock on my door. I rushed over to open it, finding Cole staring at the ground scratching the back if his head. Jay had Vivi went after him awhile ago, but she wasn't anywhere insight.

I seriously can't get even one measly second with her.

"Uhhh, hey guys." He said, waving awkwardly.

Very un-Cole-like, but ok.

"Hey, Cole! Sorry I made you upset! I mean, I still have no idea what I did and all, but are you better now? Also I-"

"Yes, Jay I'm fine, and it's okay." He grinned.

Wow, not not only was he feeling better, he was happy.

Was there cake in the forest?

"Well someone's seems to be rather joyful" Zane added.

Cole walked in the room, and there stood Vivi behind him. Wow, this dude was so buff he could hide an entire homo sapien behind him.

I instantly turned my charm-face on.hey, don't judge me it's instinct.

"Well that's all because of her" Cole declared, slinging his arm around her, while she held up a peace sign.

I flinched at his sudden movement.

Well, I guess I got competition.

But I guess I wasn't the only one who flinched. Jay did too, his eyes narrowing in on The master of earth. Instantly he let go of her while she walked over to Jay and leaned her head on his shoulder. Guess bolder boy isn't so tough after all.

It was amazing how alike they looked. The only difference was hair color, eyes color, and that Jay had freckles.

"I'm sleepyyy" Vivi complained.

I softened at how delicate she looked, and my anger immediately washed away. This girl could get a smile out of me any day.

Laughing, Jay picked her up bridal style. "Let's go sleep then. Bye guys!"

Hopping down from Jays hold, Vivi waved at us while we said our goodbyes, before disappearing out of my room with her twin.

I wonder how she tolerated him.

"Well, my dad and I better go too." Lloyd announced. "I'll be leaving as well" Zane added, and they left too.

It was just me and him now.

"So..." Hey started.

"WAIT!" We got so distracted we forgot about Nya!

"NYA! We can't leave her Out there the whole night!"

Coles eyes widened in realization. "Oh my god your right!"

The two of us rushed out of my door, quiet like the ninjas we were. I didn't want to wake everyone up, but if Cole was up for it he could tag along. He was kinda the reason our search was interrupted.

We were going to find Nya.

Alone.
