Kai's POV

"We have to go on, whether we like it or not."

Three dumbfounded faces looked back at me while I made my statement.

"...You're joking right?" Cole awkwardly laughed, questioning my sudden boldness.

Jay sighed, nervously biting his bottom lip. "No Kai, we need to go check on her. Please, I have a really bad feeling about this, and I-"

"Look we can't go back okay!" I angrily gritted, "I..."

My anger ceased as Vivi's words rang in my head again.

"This whole thing is basically my fault in the first place"

"Don't  let Lloyd suffer"

"Please Kai, just go for now"

"Please Kai, Just go." I mumbled the last part, visibly grimacing at the urgency in her voice.

Jay's eyebrows rose, "W-wait did she-"

"Yeah" I nodded, looking down.

The silence of the museum enveloped us, the gentle murmurs of everyday citizens being the only reminder that we weren't alone in here.

I softly groaned, ruffling the very hair I spent so long styling this morning

Like any of that even matters now.

"Let's just go okay?"

I muted myself, expecting an answer, a whisper, anything.

Cole being first to respond nodded, gently patting my back as he took the lead in front of me.

"So uh, where to next Zane?" He asked, slightly turning he head back to face the titanium ninja.

Carefully, Zane slid the scroll out of my tense fist and into his. Flinching at the sudden cold touch, I quickly turned away.

I don't know why, but suddenly I feel so...

jumpy.

"Well, I suggest we find a secluded area to learn the art of-"

"AIRJITZU!"

A green streak flashed through my peripheral vision, and within seconds the scroll wasn't in Zanes icy clutch anymore.

I gritted my teeth, my eyes darting toward the same ghostly green that started this mess.

Morro.

Cole's POV

Can the world just give me a break!

I mean, I was surprised enough when Kai actually RUINED his own hair, and now this, this green monstrosity has to swoop in and mess everything up AGAIN.

Man, what a fine life I'm living.

"Well, hello again Morro" I muttered under my breath, slightly bending my knees into a stance. I was starting to sweat now, which was expected.

 "You didn't forget about me already did you?" The ghost possessing Lloyds body sneered, stopping to hover only a few feet in front of us.

Scarily close.

 Zane stepped forward, surprising us with his bluntness, "Actually, we did. It was quite pleasant" 

Morro gritted his teeth, obviously annoyed with our reaction.

I other the other hand, was struggling to hold back a laugh. I mean, go Zane.

"Enough with the games Morro," Kai screamed, shocking all of us with his volume. 

Though, his voice turned sickly within seconds.

"just hand over the scroll."

A clean silence washed over the scenario, as bystanders gathered around the slightly tucked away area to watch.

Gradually, a smirk painted itself onto Morro's face. 

"Oh, is pretty boy angry?" Morro teased, floating dangerously close to Kai.

Kai's muscles tensed up, meaning he was trying his hardest to not kill the dud- but wait he's already dead...how-

Ah never mind.

"Aaand what if I don't?" He taunted further, now mere inches away from Kai's steaming face.

Right when I thought Kai was about to burst, Jay comes in.

And very abruptly might I add.

The blue ninja shoved Kai out of Morro's possessive glare, now taking the role of the teaser.

"Listen" he began, his voice shockingly cold, "what did you do to my sister?"

The two seemed to endlessly glare at each other, Jays gaze deathly cold whist Morrows eyes just remained fixated on Jay.

Finally, a small smile let itself on Morrows face, a chuckle escaping his cold lips.

"Aren't you supposed to be the scaredy cat ninja?"

The master of lightnings expression shifted, though he didn't budge.

Gasps sounded from the observing crowd, Morrows uncomfortable energy choking us ninja.

Its crazy how just his presence can make you gulp in fear.

"All bark and no bite" Kai gritted, staring furiously at Morrow, craving a fight.

My eyes remained on Jay, a bead of sweat running down the side of his face.

"Aww, what's wrong?" The ghostly figure cooed, slowly dancing his way around Jays tense body. "Not so bold anymore?"

Our unwanted audience went quiet, the fear meant for Jay rippling through them as well. 

Kai, Zane and I stood feet behind Jay, our muscles tense. 

"Actually" I silently clicked my tongue, grabbing the other ninjas attention.

 "I think his bark is his bite"

Jays POV

Why cant I move?

...Why is everything this scumbag's saying absolutely true?

"See, you're kind of stuck aren't you?" 

I gritted my teeth. Ha, why is it like he can read my mind?

"Well, let me clear things up a little" Morrow simply said, "you either save you precious green ninja or your sister."

I gulped, letting out a shaky breath.

 I'm a prisoner to his motives. I mean, if you think about it he has a point. If Vivi really isn't okay, there's nothing we can do about it if we plan on saving Lloyd at all- which isn't really in our hands to decide in the first place.

The ghostly figure slithered around me, flicking vicious words at my tethered heart by the second.

We cant save them both.

A sudden chill rode up my spine, while his next set of words stung the worst 

"Either way blue ninja" He snickered, "you've failed."

I gasped, my heart rate quickening. 

Clenching my teeth, I tried to do anything, say anything at all.

But for once, I had nothing to say.

Slowly letting my guard down, I sunk into the worn out floor beneath me.

I was defeated.
