Chapter Five
Jack's POV
For what seemed like forever, though being in reality it was only an hour, I had no luck finding the red headed monster. Adding on to all my luck, my car started slowing down.
"Fuck, not now! Come on!" I didn't scream, but good god I wanted to. If I have to go on foot, the chances of me finding him are so low. I pressed on the gas peddle, slamming my foot on it, no result. Soon enough, the car had come to a complete halt. God dammit! Why now? Out of all the days, and times why now? I sighed loudly, I know what I have to do now. I opened the door, looked at my surroundings before getting out. I got my bag of weapons, throwing them on my back and begun walking.
What happened while I was walking? Someone might ask? Truthfully I don't know. It seemed like it was this huge time skip, where it skipped over an amount of time, and now I'm covered in blood. It wasn't my own, I didn't feel any pain or anything so I wasn't wounded, which was awesome, but where on earth did all this blood come from. There was blood on my hands, blood on my clothes, I felt some liquid on my face so I'll assume that's blood too.
I looked around, and as far as I know, at the moment I was alone. I stopped walking, double checked my surroundings, and ran towards a house that presentably was abandoned. I couldn't tell if this was a good, or a bad idea. Going in a house that was abandoned where anyone could be hiding. Though going in here would take the time I could use to find the redhead, but yet it's also gives me the time to rethink everything. Rethink what happened. Try to gather up exactly what happened that caused me to be covered in someone else's blood. This was just all so strange to me. How could something happen so recently, be forgotten so easily?
I put down my bag, but making sure to keep a weapon in hand. I paced back and forth, thinking. I needed to figure this out. What is going on? I put my hands through my hair. I was so frustrated with this.
I started feeling weird. Like I had barely any control on my body. It felt dark. I ignored it though, continuing on trying to figure out what I had forgotten. Something distracted me though. A noise. I heard a noise.
Someone was in here. Quietly, I walked to where I presumed the noise had come from. I saw glowing eyes in the darkness.
It's him.
