I walked out to my truck and pulled out my phone. I dialed my mom's number and told her that I was fine. I ended the call and started the engine. I drove out of the parking lot and went home.

I pulled into the garage and shut off the truck. Walking in I looked towards Dakota's cage. She was still asleep so I walked back upstairs. I plopped down onto my bed and immediately fell asleep.

TIME SKIP!!

"AROOOOOOOOO!!!!"

I was woken up by Dakota howling. "KOTA! Hush up!" I stood up and trudged down the stairs and walked over to her cage. I unhooked the locks and she pounced out.

"Come on girl." I walked over to my back door and let her out. I closed the door behind her and walked towards the kitchen. I pulled out her puppy food and poured it into her bowl.

*Scritch Scratch*

Dakota was scratching at the door. I walked over and let her back in. "Your food is over there Kota." She ran over and dug in. I checked the time. 8 am. I am DEFINITELY going back to sleep.

I poured some cereal into a bowl and started eating. When I was done I put it in the sink and walked up the stairs. Kota trailed right at my tail and followed me up. I hit the bed once again and fell asleep. Dakota snuggled into my side and we both slept.

I woke up once again this time at 2:30 pm. Dakota was licking my face. "Bleck! Thank you for da kisses Kota but ew! Thas gross." I stood up and walked towards the bathroom. I turned on the shower and pulled out my phone. I opened up YouTube and picked out a song. I picked "Only You" by Selena Gomez.

When I got out I noticed I had gotten a text message from my boss. I wrapped a towel around myself and walked over to it picking it up.

Boss: Hey y/n! I'm sorry I wasn't there when your shift finished. Anyway, today or should I say tonight, would you be willing to come in at about 8? You would still leave at 6 in the morning. Our day shift guy is threatening to quit unless he gets shorter work days. Thank you!

Y/n: Um yeah. Sure. No problem.

I walked to my closet to pick out my clothes. Dakota came bouncing in. I threw on a baggy long sleeve pale red shirt with some ripped black jeans. I put on some mascara and eyeliner before I put my hair up into a messy bun. I walked downstairs and grabbed Dakota's leash.

I was about to yell for her when I turned almost tripped over her. "Woah! Hey!" I picked her up. "You almost got yourself hurt there!" I hooked her leash onto her collar and set her down.

"Y'know for as big as you are, you would think that you would be much louder." I walked her over to the door and opened it. We walked out and started down the street. We walked at a slow pace because Kota wanted to smell everything. And I. Mean. EVERYTHING.

I continued walking until Dakota started barking. "What is it girl?" I looked in the direction she was pointing and saw a woman walking another dog. "Dakota! Stop it!"

"It's really fine." The blonde haired woman now stood in front of me.

"Yeah, but Kota here doesn't need to be rude," I said laughing a bit.

"Kota?"

"Yeah, it's short for Dakota."

"That's so cute! This is Chica, but my boyfriend calls her Chica-bica." The woman who stood in front of me smiled.

"Oh! I'm y/n by the way,"

"Amy. I know this is really random but what kind of dog is Dakota? I don't think I've ever seen a dog like her before," Amy leaned down to pet Chica.

"Oh! She's a German shepherd Canadian wolf mix." Amy looked up.

"Sounds a bit dangerous don't ya think?" She laughed a bit.

"Yeah, but she needed a home and I was lonely so I decided why not? Only thing I'm worried about is how big she's gonna get." Amy's phone rang and she pulled it out.

"Oh, I'm sorry I have to get this, stay here though, I'm not done talking to you." I laughed a bit. After she talked to her phone for a bit she put it in her pocket.

"Sorry. Mark, uh my boyfriend, was wondering where I was."

"Oh it's no problem." I smiled. We were interrupted by yelling.

"SHUT THE HELL UP!!!" I saw Amy facepalm and look to the ground. Four guys and a girl came walking around the corner with a girl. One of the guys had red hair and was pushing a guy with green hair. The girl looked up from the two. A smile grew on her face and she ran over to Amy.

"Did I really leave you alone with these children?" They both laughed and the boys joined us. That was when I caught full sight of the red haired man's face.

Dark... Was all I could think.

"What do ya mean children! I'm a grown man child!" The younger looking one of the group spoke up. He had bright blue hair. I couldn't help but laugh. I looked down to see Chica examining Dakota.

"There's my girl!" The man who looked like Dark opened his arms up in a hug and walked towards Amy and Chica. Amy opened her arms up but the man just leaned down and hugged Chica.

"You son of a-" He let go of Chica and hugged Amy.

"I was just kidding." He laughed.

"Oh! Everyone, this is y/n. Y/n, this is Mark," She pointed to the man with red hair. "This is Tyler and Ethan, you can remember Ethan because he's dat blue boi." She laughed a bit before continuing. "And this is Jack, or Sean, the Irish potato." Amy pointed to the green haired guy. "And last but definitely not least, Signe, the Irish bean's girlfriend."

"Hello!" All of them practically yelled. Just then Dakota tugged at her leash and it made me tip a little bit.

"Hi!" I said tripping to the side a bit. "Dakota I swear to god," I looked down at her. She just stuck her tongue out and wagged her tail. They all laughed a bit. My phone vibrated a bit and I pulled it out of my pocket. It was my bff f/n.

F/n: Dude! Taylor won't stop texting me asking me to talk to you for him! What the crap do I say? Eff off?

I laughed a bit.

Y/n: Yeah, tell him to eff off, I'm tired of his sh-t.

"I should probably get going. It was amazing meeting you all!" I put my phone away and smiled. Amy fumbled a bit.

"Wait! Before you go put your number into my phone!" She practically threw her phone at me.

"Geez, okay. Calm down." I laughed a bit as I punched my number in and handed it back.

"Bye!" I turned around and began walking the way I was headed before. Hows about some starbucks? I thought to myself. I made it to town with Kota and walked towards Starbucks and ordered f/d. I walked out and checked my phone. It was 4 o'clock. And now it's time to go home. Dakota and I walked around town for a bit while I finished my drink. I threw it in a trashcan and Dakota took off. I ran after her.

She was headed home. "Did you just want to run girl?" She barked and we continued to run. I ran out of breath and pulled on Kota's leash to slow her down. She was panting loudly and was obviously tired. We continued walking home.

I unlocked the door and we both crashed onto the couch, instantly falling asleep.

Holy Crap ANOTHER?!! Time Skip??!?!!

I woke up and it was 7 pm. I bolted up seeing that Dakota had migrated to the floor to sleep. I ran up the stairs and threw on a comfy pink and grey sweatshirt. I fixed my hair and made sure my makeup looked nice before I ran downstairs. I had thirty minutes to drive there AND find something to eat. I grabbed a spoonful of peanut butter and picked up Dakota, gently setting her in her kennel.

"Bye, Kota." She stirred a bit but continued sleeping. I started eating my peanut butter as I pulled out of my driveway.

I made it to my workplace as the clock hit five minutes till 8. I ran in and stood still while the officers searched me. I ran up to the front desk and was greeted by Cody.

"I'm. Sorry.. I'm.. so... slow..." I panted.

"It's quite alright now let's go." We started walking down a different hallway."
