"Juliet, I'm more in shock than you because I thought he'd remember me, guess he didn't cause he's explanation sounded genuine", I said trying to comprehend what really just happened.

"Okay, but if you say you'll were best friends how can't he remember you now?", she asked confused.

"Well I guess it really was a long time being separated from each other", I said saddened.

My first day at high school was really nice, better than expected.

I made a new friend Juliet, we exchanged numbers and spent the whole day when we could together.

We went to class, wrote down notes and got out first research assignment for History. Sigh!

We didn't even see Andre for the day which was kinda a relief and disappointment.

I just didn't want to see him and the thought of him forgetting me, come running through my mind.

That's really heartbreaking to think that someone completely forgot about you after you being so close to them, even your best friend....that's just foul.

But like I said before I'll just let my memory of him fade so I can act the same way he's acting as well.

With all classes done and the hour for school to be over was near, our teacher made us leave early since we didn't really have much doing that day.

Since Juliet and I both didn't have a vehicle we both went to the school's bus stop shelter looking building to get on a bus.

We both went to different sides of the building as we lived further away from each other.

We said our goodbyes without even remembering to exchange numbers.

Waiting for the next bus to arrive since a filled up bus left before I could even reach the bus stop, a shiny silver 2017 Lexus RX350 came halting right in front of me.

Thinking that it was for someone else as I couldn't recall having any friends who were this rich to afford this vehicle.

Not knowing who was there since it had tinted windows all around I started to feel a little uncomfortable I started to walk slowly trying not to show any sudden movement - to the other side near the seating area.

I took a seat waiting for the bus patiently with my knowledge a vehicle literally near me, cautiously keeping an eye on it as it was still the same spot with no one going in or out.

For a few seconds, it was just me and the sound of the vehicle until the bus came to my rescue.

Phew!..that was close.

I got on the bus as fast as I could without being too sketchy and sat close to the door near a window.

I watched as the bus slowly got off of the bus stop and onto the main road with the vehicle speeding right past us.

I guess the driver didn't stop for me after all.

With that thought, I closed my eyes and enjoyed the peaceful ride home.

"Mom, I'm home!!" I called out when I walked in.

"Hey honey, how was school today?" Mom replied from the kitchen.

"It was okay...better than expected I guess" I responded trying not to show any sign of emotion based on what happened earlier.

"Well, my day was awesome!!" Screamed Jermy while he came rushing down the stairs.

"That's great sweety," said mom while she was cooking one of my favorite dinner meals, the Macaroni and Cheese Dinner in the box.

This is our family's traditional dinner as far as I could remember.

My father was the one who introduced it to us who learned it from his mom, but after he died mom took over this tradition and would make it with dad in her thoughts I hope because it tasted like it was made from pure love. 

Before I got ready for my meal I ran up to my room to get ready and to also share my experience with Jada and Bailey.

I messaged in the group saying that I have something to tell them but took them forever to reply.

So while I waited for their response, I freshened up for dinner.

After 15 minutes of waiting Bailey finally replied then so did Jada.
