🥀 1. The last room of floor 4
It was the 31st of July, 1984. The sun cast its golden light on the spread out red bricked structure of the Rayne Orphanage. The warm, friendly and forever cheerful voice of Madame Maverick echoed through the 4th floor of the building.
"Rise and shine children of Rayne! It's 7 o'clock dears, time to awake to another new day!"
In the last room of the 4th floor that was decorated with parchment pieces upon which long spells and texts were written in messy cursive. The headboard held a wand holder and little enchanted trinkets that floated in the air.
Right next to the black oak bed was a tiny cupboard which was painted black too. This piece of furniture bore neatly folded clothes and books. A lots of books about magic and spells. Right next to the little door was a table and a matching chair.
The black flowered wallpaper peeled at certain places revealing the white wall behind. A certain larger piece of parchment on the wall held important information regarding the inhabitant of the said room.
NAME: Artemis Silvanus Severa Zhavia Rayne
AGE: 8
MOTHER: -
FATHER: -
BLOOD-STATUS: Half-blood
LEVEL OF RAYNE MAGICAL EDUCATION: 4/7
HOUSE: Flamos
Elowen
Islotte
✔ Silvanus
The above information was on the parchment and it was magically inputted and changed automatically every time anything were to be edited.
Young Artemis was told my Madame Maverick that certain important facts shall be revealed to her by the age of 16. The person who left her there requested Madame Maverick to do so.
"The day you turn 16 my dear, the name of your mother shall appear on the parchment in your room."
These words rang in Artemis' ears every year she turned older. Wanting to turn 16 as soon as she could.
The door of this cozy room had the name 'Artemis Silvanus Severa Zhavia Rayne' inscribed on an emerald green metal plate. All the residents of floor 4 were the age of 7 and belonged to the Silvanus house.
Madame Maverick's voice made Artemis wake up with a smile plastered across her delicate face. Every morning, she was the happiest person of the orphanage, being immensely grateful for every little detail.
Curious little being Artemis was. She possessed traits of all the houses of Rayne. Kindness, wit, cunningness, and a humble nature. Being alive for another day was something she'd thank god for every morning. Followed by lots more such acts of gratefulness.
She sat up in her bed and after a few minutes walked to the attached bath of the room to start off the last day of July, feeling jumpy and excited as always.
