Chapter Sixty-Four

-18th December-

My stomach felt light, with an array of butterflies floating around, making my heart pitter patter in my chest. Taking small paces left and right, I try to regulate my breathing, making sure I suddenly don't panic. The day I had been waiting for, had finally arrived.

I didn't think I would reach this point, but I was here. It was only a matter of minutes, then I would be a married woman. I would be embarking on a new path in my life.

Taking one final look in the mirror, I was simply amazed at how elegant I looked. A delicate tulle lace, white dress sat on my body effortlessly. It had an A-line silhouette, where the bottom half of dress flowed perfectly, with it being floor length and having a court train. Intricate lace detailing made up the top part of the dress, with an illusion lace long sleeve.

My caramel blonde hair, was loosely tied at the back, creating waterfall of waves, with pieces of strands falling to the side. It was held together by a diamanté hair pin, accompanied with pearls. Opting for a natural makeup look, was the best choice. My eyeshadow had a slight smokey colour, with extravagant lashes detailing the eyes. A touch of pink on my cheeks added colour, with a nude-coloured lip.

Looking down at the bouquet in my hands, I appreciated the beauty beaming from the flowers. I went with a blush and cream coloured set. The bouquet was made up of; a mixture of white, pink and blush, mondial roses, lisianthus, ranunculus and carnations. Finishing with subtle green leaves.

"You ready?" The soft voice of Sarah, captures my attention.

I turn to see my beautiful bridesmaids. Sarah, Lily and Rose, dressed in champagne coloured dress, made up of satin chiffon. Their neckline plunged into a V-neck, the top half fitting perfectly around their body. The bottom half flowing to the floor, with a split.

Taking a quick breath in and exhaling out, I eagerly nod and make my way over the girls. I loop my arm into Sarah and head towards the outside.

We chose the surreal destination of Kingscliff beach for our wedding. Insanely inspired from when, Alexander and I faked being married. It's ironic how back then, we didn't know we would be choosing the same place for our real wedding.

Stepping out on to the beach, the blazing sun casts off yellow hues of rays. The grainy white sand, covers my feet, like a warm blanket. The warmth radiates through my body. The bright, glistening sun sits centre of the clear blue sky. An array of sounds, including; the movement of the sea, the gust of calm winds and the exotic sound of birds, makes me feel like I was in a peaceful haven. It was like there was a new electricity of love in the air.

Lily and Rose lead the way, with the soft melody of violins playing in the back ground. They drop white and pink petals on the ground, making a pathway for me. With Sarah by my side, we closely follow.

I hear hushed murmurs of people, with my eyes fixated on the floor, I could tell I was there. For some reason, nervousness pooled inside my stomach of seeing Alexander.

Slowly, my eyes drift upwards, taking note of the wide range of people sitting in their seats. Their eyes follow me, as I walk down the aisle.

I was filled with joyful energy at the amount of people who were seated. Many close business partners were able to make their way to Australia to witness our wedding.

But the ones that mattered the most, were my friends and family. My three stunning bridesmaids accompanying me. Jason, being Alexander's best man. Calum, who I am at peace with and happy to call a friend. Janice, without her, I would have not looked amazing. Last but not least; Alexander's sister and mother, who I can't wait to call my sister-in-law and mother-in-law.

Getting closer and closer to the alter, bundles of nerves swirl around in my stomach. Gathering the courage, I finally dart my eyes to Alexander. In that moment, it felt like the world around me blacked out, and spotlights were shining on only us.

Every aspect of him was dreamy, it felt like I was falling in love all over again. Alexander opted for a white shirt, perfectly fitted, with the top two buttons opened showcasing his well-defined chest. Off-white, almost cream-coloured suit and trousers completed the whole look.

His soft luscious brown hair, was combed in place, my crazy thoughts just wanted to run my hands in his hair and bring his lips to mine.

When his eyes landed on me, he was star-stuck. His sensuous eyes soften, glistening with water, he was holding back the tears. Seeing him emotional, sparked a warm contentment within me. I too was holding back the tears; I couldn't let Janice's hard work go to waste.

When we reached the end, Lily and Rose took their seats. Sarah embraced me in hug, giving her my bouquet, she goes to take her place next to Calum.

After, what felt like forever, my hands mould into Alexander's. The softness of his hands, relaxes my nerves. I feel myself glow inside.

"You are... you... you look beautiful." Alexander stuttered, not being able to find the words.

"You're not so bad yourself." I jokingly whisper.

The officiator clears her throat, and begins the ceremony.

"Dear all, we are gathered here to witness the marriage of Louisa Watts and Alexander Pierce." She begins. Quietness filled the open air, the only sounds we could hear, were the sounds of a peaceful nature.

"Now before we start on the vows, I understand that you both have a few words, so if you'd like to take over, please declare your love for each other." The officiator extends her hands, motioning for us to speak.

Alexander nods his head, insinuating for me to go first. I chew the bottom of my lip. This moment I had practiced many times in my head, and it was finally time to deliver.

"You are my love." I start. "You are my inspiration and my person. I can't believe that today is the day, where I start my new life with you, and I can't wait to spend a lifetime of loving you. You are my forever. I can't imagine life without you, I don't want to imagine life without you. My heart is yours; you and I are one. Till the very end. I love you so so much."

My words soon fade, as I was lost for words. Emotions got the best of me, and a pink colour rises in my skin, showcasing a blush in my checks. Even to this day, when Alexanders tantalising eyes capture me, I can't help but feel slightly shy. I motion for Alexander to take over and to say his little speech.

"I didn't know I was missing something, till I met you." Alexander melodious voice dances its way to my ears, gazing deeply into the whirls of his eyes. Just the mere sound of his voice, makes me weak in the knees. Everything around us was faded out and it felt like it was just us on the beach.

"I knew it was you from the moment I set eyes on you. The way we found each other, it's like our souls are meant to be. I promise to love you, hug you and kiss you every day. Our love is what keeps me strong. I'll always stand by you; I'll be here forever. I could go on, but we'll be here till midnight. But I will say, today, you will be my wife, but you are my soulmate forever."

Hearing Alexander say those words, my heart bursts into a million pieces of our love and admiration. In that very moment, I felt close and connected with him. I was in love, deeply and madly in love with this guy. Happiness overflowed like a waterfall and I felt like I was floating in pure bliss.

"That was beautiful." The officiator admired. "Now it's time to say your vows. Alexander if you'd like to repeat after me."

Alexander quickly ushered Jason over, he handed over the ring and placed it at the tip of my finger, and began repeating the words.

"I, Alexander Pierce, take you, Louisa Watts, to be my beloved wife. To have and to hold you, to be at your side in sorrow and in joy. To be there in the good times and in the bad times. I vow to love and cherish you always from my heart."

The ring slides down onto my finger, and I feel half of our souls has emerged and connected. I just had to do my bit and then we would become one.

I take the wedding band from Sarah, and do the same. Placing it on the tip of his finger, I repeat the words of the officiator.

I, Louisa Watts, take you, Alexander Pierce, to be my beloved husband. To have and to hold you, to be at your side in sorrow and in joy. To be there in the good times and in the bad times. I vow to love and cherish you always form my heart."

The second half of our souls felt like it had been connected like a jigsaw piece, as I slide the ring down his finger. Love and happiness radiated through me, the inside of me was sparkling with joy.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." The officiator, with a smile, nods her head to Alexander.

Without a second of deliberation, his hands capture my checks, and I'm softly pulled close to meet his lips. Our lips were in unison, dancing against each other, feeling the rhythm of the love. With my eyes closed, I take in every movement and every feeling ejected from him.

His lips were delicate, like butterfly wings. Caressing my lips. We're suddenly brought to a stop, when happy screams rupture. We snap out and see the ecstatic array of people cheering for us.

The magical day proceeded with the reception, which was held at the resort we were all staying at. The wedding hall was decorated beautifully, with white linen sheets dressing the tables. White, pink and blush arrangement of flowers in the middle. Fairy light hanging from wall to wall.

Our loved ones started with their speeches, where a mixture of emotions ran through me. At times I was laughing to the point where I had a stitch in my stomach. Other times tears were steaming down my cheeks, at how happy I felt in that very moment.

When the music ruptured from the speaker, the whole room was turned in to a crazy nightclub. Everyone was dancing and having the time of their life.

When it was time for our first dance, everyone cleared the middle and we were put in the spotlight. We decided to dance to Ed Sheeran; Thinking Out Loud. This again, was from when we faked being married. We both decided the song had a deep meaning and was perfect for our first dance song, at our real wedding.

As we danced, I flowed like I was on clouds. Each step I took, I felt myself melting within Alexander touch. I was buzzing with electricity, which surged through me like a racing car. Throughout the whole dance, I gazed deeply into Alexander's captivating, brown liquid eyes. I felt the connection so strong, it overwhelmed me to the point where my eyes brimmed with tears.

After our first dance, everyone joined the dance floor. We continued at a slow pace. With Ed Sheeran's song, Perfect, playing in the background. I could finally take in the beautiful sight, that is my husband.

"So, Mrs Pierce, how are you feeling?" Alexander asks as we sway from side to side, with my head nestled into his chest. My heart leaped at him saying, 'Mrs Pierce.'

"Words can't describe how I'm feeling." I reply, moving my head to connect my eyes with his. "Ask me again tomorrow, when everything has sunk in. Just know that I love you so, so much."

Alexander bows his head, for his forehead to meet with mine. "I truly am a lucky guy, for such a stunning, beautiful, strong and bold woman to be my wife. I count my lucky stars that I finally got you in the end. I love you too."

Our lips magnetised towards each other. Soft and delicate kisses are melted into my lips. We kept it short and sweet, we had the rest of our life to give as many kisses as we want.

I place my head back into his chest. His warm embrace, welcomes me, and it felt like I was at home.

I closed my eyes, and there was the combination of, Perfect playing in the back ground, the warmth radiating from Alexander, and his strong hold around me; where I felt safe.

All I envisioned, was our future. I couldn't wait for this new path to open with Alexander. I knew we could take on anything, as long as we had each other.
