chapter 4
17 Years old
"Hold it!" My gymnast teacher said as I held my body up on the silk roped with my legs straight, "and let go" she said and I dropped and landed on my feet and put one hand on my hip and one in the air.
I smiled and panted slightly and then dropped the pose and wiped the sweat away from my face "well done May you've improved" she said and walked over to the younger kids.
"Well done May" Jake said as he handed me my towel, him and Andy had decided to tag along watch my gymnastic performance "thanks" I replied taking a massive gulp out off my water.
I sprayed on some deodorant and packed my bag as we all headed out to Jake's truck, it had been 5 years since I met Jake and we all had changed quite a lot.
My hair was straight at the top but was naturally curly at the bottom, my hair was black with purple dip dye that was gradient, my hair was currently tied up in a bun.
I pulled on my black leather jacket as we got into Jake's truck, we all headed out to the town and went straight to Starbucks.
We went inside and ordered our coffee and sat down drinking our beverages "I think you have a lover May" Jake said wiggling his eyebrows and motion to one of the guys that was behind the counter with his eyes.
"Oh shut up Jake" I said laughing and glanced at the boy as he served the next customer, he had black hair with a fringe that covered his eye and he kept flicking it out of the way.
"He looks a bit like a sheepdog" Andy mumbled and I almost spat my drink out "Andy! That's shocking, besides you both have a similar haircut" I said laughing.
"Well mine is better" he mumbled taking a sip of his coffee, "come on let's go it's starting to freak me out how he keeps staring" Jake mumbled as we got up.
We headed out of Starbucks and threw our drinks in the bin once we had finished, Andy had turned 18 a few weeks ago and he didn't know what he was going to do.
"Well I'm gonna head home, I need to take a shower" I said and they nodded "I'll drive you back" Jake offered but I refused "it's only 10 minutes, I'll be fine but thanks anyways Jake" I said.
"No problem May" he replied as I ran home my hair flying around my face, Andy had seemed quiet for a while and I was kinda worried but i guess he must of been thinking about well whatever he was thinking about.
I got home and everything was silent that must of meant my parents were out and I had the house too myself, I grabbed clothes and a towel before jumping in the shower, not literally.
After my shower I got ready and I heard the door slam and the sound of a drunken voice, "no I will not!" My father shouted his words slurred slightly.
He must of been out drinking and then I heard the soft murmur of my mothers voice as he walked into what I assumed was the furniture, I sighed as I ran a hand through my now dry hair.
My birthday was in 6 days and I couldn't wait to leave and go to my gymnastic contest when I'm 18, I opened my window and jumped out like I normally did when I wanted to go out.
I hated walking past my parents when my father was in that state, I ran over to Andy's house and knocked on the door and was greeted with the sight of Amy.
"Hey Mrs Biersack is Andy here?" I asked "you can just call me Amy, I've known you since you were young May" she said and I smiled "he's not here I'm afraid he left for Los Angeles about 30 minutes ago with Jake" she said.
My face went pale as she put a hand on my shoulder "I'm sorry May, he didn't say anything but he's 18 now so he's allowed to leave" she said and I nodded.
"Thank you anyways Amy" I said heading down the steps "no problem May" she said and I heard the door close behind her.
I headed to the park and no one was there and I headed to the swings and sat down, this park held so many memories of Andy,Jake and me.
From falling off the swings too climbing the trees those were the best memories from my childhood, I pulled out my phone and sent Andy a text.
May
Hey Andy Pandy, your mom told me you left for Los Angeles, how are you?
I didn't know what else to say so I waited for a reply and felt my phone buzz with a notification.
I'm sorry but the person you are trying to contact isn't available anymore.
He either must of changed his phone number or lost his phone, I didn't have Jakes new number his phone broke a few weeks ago and he only got his new number today.
I say there and stared at the ground as I felt the rain hit my head and darken the ground, it started to get heavier as I felt a rain drop fall down the back of my neck and cool my skin.
"I thought you promised you would never leave me Andy" I whispered as I heard the sky rumble and the rain started pelting down.
"You broke your promise"
