Dan lay there.
His eyes shot open.
Unable to close them.
Unable to shut his brain off.
Yes Dan couldn't sleep.
He wanted to do something that will make the hours pass quicker.
Play a game?
No because that won't make him sleepy at all!
The only thing it will do is wake his brain up even more.
Talk to somebody?
Who would there be to talk to though?
Suddenly someone popped into dan's mind.
Somebody that made Dan wonder why he thought of him.
Dan thought he hated this person.
This person was annoying.
Well used to be.
But now he's the only person that Dan thought would keep him company.
Phil.

Dan: hey

Dan was about to turn his phone off and give up when he got a text.

Phil: hi!

Dan: wait your awake? I didn't wake you up did I?

Phil: no

Dan: then why are you awake?

Phil: I can't sleep

Dan: me either

Phil: oh... So when are we going to do that project again?

Dan: you can come to my house tomorrow if you want?

Phil: yeah sure that would be great! I had a really great last time

Dan: me too

Phil: :)

Dan: thanks

Phil: for what?

Dan: what you did in art

Phil: you have already said thanks and I have told you before it's fine

Dan: Ik but I am really thankful so...

Phil. So?..

Dan: I know this may sound really weird but...

Phil: Dan I will never judge you please tell me!

Dan: :)

Phil: Dan tell me!

Dan: are you my friend?

Phil: 😂

Dan: you said you wouldn't laugh!

Phil: I didn't I said I wouldn't judge

Dan: 😠

Phil: yes I am

Dan: good

Phil: so am I your friend?

Dan: well yeah I guess you are..

Phil: this is new for you isn't it?

Dan: yeah...

Phil: do you have decided to fully let me into your life now as a friend?

Dan: what do you mean?

Phil: ever since I first talked to you I wanted to be your friend I bugged you and bugged you but you just pushed me away

Dan: oh yeah... Well I guess that is just what I'm like

Phil: well I'm glad I'm officially your friend now

Dan: yeah

(2000 messages later)
Phil: are you sleepy it's 2am?

Dan: not really are you?

Phil: a bit

Dan: well go to sleep then!

Phil: I won't until I know your asleep too I don't want you to be alone

Dan: okay... But how do I get sleepy?

Phil: close your eyes

Dan: well obviously

Phil: no 😂just close your eyes and relax

Dan: well then I can't talk to you

Phil: what's so good about talking to me?

Dan couldn't help but blush but he didn't even realise.

Dan: well your keeping me company! And your my friend

Phil: Dan just try and sleep and if you can't text me again

Dan: I will try

Phil: goodnight Dan

Dan: goodnight Phil

Dan's felt a feeling grow inside of him.
A feeling he had never felt before.
He couldn't even explain what it was.
But he knew there was a feeling.
A feeling that only appeared when he talked to Phil.
