Fugasaku: What I would like you to do is to sit still. You have to harmonise with the flow of nature so you can sense it

Naruto: That seems easy enough to sit still!

Jiraiya: It's not easy at all Naruto....it took me quite some time

Fugasaku understands Naruto's intentions as he looks towards the toad oil

Fugasaku: Stick your hand over there Naruto-boy

Naruto walks towards it as Fugasaku puts the oil onto Naruto

Fugasaku: This will help you get more nature energy. And eventually you will be able to sense it, in no time you won't need the oil

Jiraiya: Don't forget to tell him about the risk...

Naruto sees his hand

Fugasaku: You might start to turn into a frog if you are inexperienced with nature energy

Naruto starts to scream as he doesn't want to turn into a frog so Fugasaku hits him with a bat

Fugasaku: This is all about balance Naruto-boy...too much and you'll stay as a frog and never be a human ever again.

Fugasaku points to the stone statues

Fugasaku: They tried but got turned into frogs. To be honest as well...even Jiraiya-boy hasn't mastered it

Naruto turn to Jiraiya

Naruto: Really Pervy-sage!?

Naruto thinks for a moment as he decides to train in sage jutsu. As he turns into an frog

Fugasaku starts to continue to beat down on Naruto as Gamakichi and Jiraiya sit and watch

Naruto: I never thought it would be this hard...

Jiraiya: You have to keep persevering Naruto! You can't give up! That's what it's like to be a sage

Naruto: Alright!!

Timeskip

Some time passes as Naruto is finally able to sense nature energy

Naruto: I see it!!! I can see it!! I can finally see it!!

Jiraiya starts to smile as Fugasaku smiles also

Fugasaku: Naruto-boy it's time for us to take a little break!

Naruto: Aw..really!?

They eat more food that Shima had made as Naruto ate them

Fugasaku: Now I would like you to try and lift these rocks

Naruto uses his chakra to try and lift it but can't do it at all

Naruto: I can't do it!!

Fugasaku: Now try and add some sage jutsu into it

Naruto: Okay!

Naruto puts his hand in the toad oil as he starts to blend Naruto energy and takes it in.

Fugasaku: Good! Now try and lift the stone frog!

Naruto tries to lift the stone as he is able to lift it up a bit

Jiraiya: That's it Naruto!!

Naruto lifts it all the way up

Naruto: I did it!!!

Jiraiya: He is progressing way quicker then I did...

Jiraiya looks at Naruto

Fugasaku: Now I want you to master it without the oil.

Naruto: Okay!

Jiraiya: Oi Naruto! I would think it's time to give you this...

Jiraiya gives Naruto a book.

Naruto: What is it?

Jiraiya: It's my first ever novel!

Naruto grabs it and starts to read the contents in it

Jiraiya: I see a bit of Y/n in that first novel I ever made...a strong and cocky ninja who sees themselves as powerful...but he cares a lot about people and the world

Naruto cries as he reads the book

Naruto: I'll keep going for you Y/n!

Naruto continues his training as he finds it harder without the oil to gather nature energy

Fugasaku: You keep on becoming a frog Naruto, you are lacking concentration!

Fugasaku: You might ad well follow me!

Fugasaku brings Naruto to a place to practice zen meditation

Jiraiya: I remember this place...Naruto you should concentrate well or else you risk dying

Naruto goes with Fugasaku up to the top of the the thing as he start to try and bring balance while bringing in nature energy

Fugasaku: It's quite hard for you to do this kind of thing Naruto-boy

Jiraiya: I had to come up here often too..it took me a while but I got there

Jiraiya smiles as he looks at Naruto

Jiraiya: You will get it Naruto

Naruto: I have to pick up the pace! I'm going to try my best too

Naruto goes back into the boards with clones as he starts to gather nature energy but still falls off

Fugasaku: Focus!

Days go by as Naruto is slowly able to amass more and more nature energy until eventually...

He shows the proof of sage mode

Fugasaku: Naruto has truly surpassed Jiraiya in terms of sage jutsu...

Jiraiya sees Naruto falling down as he crashes into the rocks

Jiraiya: Naruto!!!

Jiraiya smiles as he sees that Naruto had been able to perfect sage mode

Jiraiya: You did it....

Fugasaku: Now I'm going to help you learn frog kumite!

Naruto: Yeah! What is that...?

Jiraiya: It's a form of martial arts that the toads use

Naruto: Alright then! Let's do this!

Timeskip

It was the next day as Naruto and Jiraiya were both using their sage mode as they were both using frog kumite against each other until they hear a voice

Frog 1: Bad news Lord Fugasaku!

Fugasaku: What's wrong?

Frog 1: Big brother Kosuke has been killed.

Fugasaku: What!? That means something must have happened in the leaf

Jiraiya: I have a bad about this...Naruto! You need to get ready now!

Naruto: Yeah!!

They suddenly get reversed summoned as they all appear

Naruto looks around

Naruto: Where are we anyway?

Jiraiya: This has to be the hidden leaf.

Shima appears

Fugasaku: What happened Ma? How come you didn't summon us to the hidden leaf

Shima: This is the hidden leaf!!

Jiraiya and everyone else was shocked

Jiraiya: This can't be...
