The Next Morning, we all got up and started getting ready for our daily planning.

Me, Mama, and Memaw started on ideas for our Royal Annual Ball.

"Have we decided on our entrees yet?" Memaw asked

"Yes!" I exclaimed

"Did you plan the menu?" Mama asked

"Let's hope she put the stuff we like on there, this time". Memaw said

Yes I did!" I exclaimed again

"So, what exactly is on the menu baby?" Mama said

"Yeah baby, what's on the menu?" Memaw said

"We're going to have baked chicken and rice, salad, garlic baked potato bake, yeast rolls, and Memaw's homemade strawberry cake with pistachio ice cream". I said as Memaw looked at me

"Okay, sounds good to me". Memaw said

"Me too". Mama said

"Okay, what decorations?" Memaw said

"We have the tablecloths being steamed and ironed, the flowers have been ordered, all the plates, cups, and silverware are being took out of the cabinets today, along with the platters and utensils". I said as Memaw looked at me

"Okay". Memaw said

"I have already ordered the banner, the ice sculpture, and got the music for that night as well". Mama said

"We still need to figure out our wardrobes". Memaw said

"I'm wearing a red lace ball gown and Alex is wearing a black tux with a white button down shirt with a red vest and tie". I said

"I am wearing a emerald green lace ball gown and John wearing a black tux with a white button down shirt with a emerald green green vest and tie". Mama said

"Okay, but what color could I wear?" Memaw said

"What do you think about that royal blue colored lacy flower dress you wore to my coronation?" I said as Memaw thought

"We will have to go dress shopping, because I want to find a really pretty dress". Memaw said

"Okay". I said in a hurt tone

"Alright ladies, meeting dismissed". Mama said as I just walked up to my bedroom and laid down, at least I am not stressing when I am asleep

A few hours later, Mama and Memaw are in the kitchen

"Jenny, is Analeigha asleep?" Memaw asked Mama as she was going through mail and sorting it out

"Yeah, I went and checked on her an hour ago". Mama said

"Does she do that a lot during the daytime?" Memaw asked

"Yeah, when she's upset or unhappy, it's all day and all night, when she's plain out exhausted, it's all morning and all evening". Mama said

"I guess I will go lie down, because we have to start getting ready for tomorrow". Memaw said

"Okay". Mama said as Memaw went upstairs and lied down

A few hours later,

I woke up to Alex staring at me with a grin on his face

"What?" I said in a tired tone and turned over

"What's wrong baby?" Alex said

"Where do I begin". I said in a fustrated tone

"How about the beginning?" Alex said

"Memaw, I don't think likes any of my ideas for the ball". I said

"Baby, I think you over think too much". Alex said

"No I don't and another thing is that she does not want to wear her ball gown she wore to my coronation". I said

"Honey, yes you do over think, like that time that girl was talking to me and you told her to get away from me and you called her a wallering sow". Alex said

"I take after Memaw and she chased a girl one time with a stick and called her that, because she was talking to Papaw, or what Memaw said she was "casually" flirting with him". I said

"Well, I was just talking to her and that was it, not flirting". Alex said

"Well whatever she was doing, it will not happen again I tell you that, because I can't stand girls who come onto you". I said

"Baby, I'm just talking to them, not flirting". Alex said

"I don't care what you do, I don't like you talking to them". I said as I was fixing my hair and makeup in the vanity mirror while sitting in my vanity seat

"Analeigha, quit being jealous and unreasonable, please?" Alex said

"No Alex, you're my husband, not those girl's casual flirt". I said back

"I happen to talk business with some of them". Alex said

"Oh really, is it business when those girl's rub their hands up and down your thighs, touch you in a place that's all off limits, or show you their cleavage, no, no it's not, so don't tell me it's business". I said in a fustrated voice

"There you go again being unreasonable, can you just stop being that way?" Alex said as he screamed at me and I started tearing up and crying, making him steam with fustration

"When you quit acting like my Papaw!" I exclaimed and screamed back looking at him through my vanity mirror

"What are you talking about Analeigha?" Alex said

"Papaw cheated on Memaw all the time". I said as I cried harder

"I can promise you that I am not like him, nor will ever be". Alex said

"Well, you are acting like him". I said

"You know what? When your done crying and all that, then I will come back". Alex said as he slammed our door and walked out and got into his vehicle and he drove off

Mama and Memaw heard the commotion and came to see what was going on as they knocked on the door

"Analeigha, what's wrong and why did Alex leave in such a hurry?" Mama said as she knocked the door

"We had a fight, okay". I said

"Why and about what?" Memaw said

"He's just like Papaw, except he doesn't drink". I said

"Alex is nothin' like your grandfather". Mama said

"No where near like him and not even close". Memaw said

"Well, Alex I believe has been womanizing around, because the other day I found a number in his pocket with a girl's name in it". I said

"It may have been for business purposes". Memaw said

"Yeah, that's what he said the other night". I said

"What else did y'all fight about?" Memaw said

"About me over thinking everything and about you not wanting to wear your blue dress to the ball". I said

"How did I get dragged into this?" Memaw said

"When Alex said I was over thinking". I said

"He wouldn't be wrong". Mama and Memaw both said at the same time

"Hey! I do not over think!". I exclaimed

"You do". Mama said

"I do not, y'all just assume I do". I said

"Okay, whatever you say". Memaw said

"The other night, Alex also had women's perfume all over him, because I smelled him and he was drenched in it, so I believe something is going on". I said as I could not fathom him being in another woman's arms

"Baby, he may have accidentally walked into someone, who sprayed it". Memaw said

"Where would he walked into someone spraying perfume at?" I said

"You, me, Mama, Gretchen, or the girls and other places". Mama said

"Yeah, more like into another woman's bedroom or into her arms". I said as I opened my bedroom door

"You need to quit thinking this and make up with your husband". Mama said

"That's going to be hard". I said as I walked downstairs into the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of water and sat at the dining room table and stared at the wall adored with Memaw's wedding photo, Mama and daddy's wedding photo, and mine and Alex's

"Listen baby, your husband loves you and he is no where near like your grandaddy, I promise". Memaw said as I blankly stared at the table and tried to shake all the pain I felt

"He is acting like him though, which hurts". I said as the thoughts of Alex in some woman's house entered my mind

"Baby, I can definitely assure you that Alex would never do anything to hurt you". Mama said as I wish I could disappear

"Well, I'm sorry that if I am over thinking, but I don't feel good, so I'm going to go and lay back down, before and after he gets back, if he even does". I said as I went upstairs and lied back down, because my heart felt like it was being shattered like glass

Downstairs

"Jenny, I'm worried about Analeigha". Memaw said

"Me too Mama, but you were the same way by Daddy". Mama said

"I know, but I don't want her going through that like I did". Memaw said

"I hope her and Alex don't get into it again". Mama said

"Me neither baby". Memaw said
